100% recommended (bring warm clothes)
Unfortunately due to fires around the Bromo area we could not visit Mount Bromo crater rim nor the sea of sand. However they offer us an alternative plan, the king Kong hill trekking (absolutely stunning) and also reimbursed us the proportional part of the park entrance. Watching the sunrise from the king Kong hill was incredible beautiful. Our tour guide Egy was very nice and took amazing pictures of us. We visited as well the Madakaripura Waterfall I would totally recommend it. If I had to say something negative I think they should tell you what to bring on the trip as it was really cold watching the sunrise, bringing a headlamp during the trekking would had been useful and as well we didn't know beforehand that for the waterfalls we could had swim there so we didn't have our costume nor our water sandals so we had to rent a pair. Anyway I would totally recommend just make sure you have warm clothes with you for the night and sun glasses/protection for the way back. I want to thank Egy again for being such a wonderful guide.

The best tour package to East Java!!
We were fortunate to join JVTO for a 3D2N trip to East Java. We had a busy schedule and wanted to cover Mount Bromo, Tumpak Sewu, and Madakaripura Waterfall within the weekend.
From the very first day we contacted them, they were incredibly supportive. Their website dashboard kept our itinerary updated, and they were very flexible in making changes according to our requests.
The tour itself was amazing, and the support we received throughout the trip was exceptional. Our assigned tour guide, Juan, was the best guide we could have asked for. Along with our driver, Indra, both of them were always punctual, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the three days.
Juan speaks excellent English, which made everything so much easier for us. Plus, a really good photographer. He guided us everywhere we went, explained everything clearly, and even helped us avoid potential scams and tourist traps.
We were able to cover everything we had planned, and surprisingly, we even finished ahead of schedule.
Unfortunately, due to volcanic eruptions, our return flight was suddenly cancelled. We had to get back to Jakarta by the next day, and we had no idea what to do. Juan and Indra went above and beyond to help us. They safely helped us get to the Surabaya bus station and board a bus, which would have been extremely difficult for us without knowing the local language.
We are truly grateful for their support, especially during an unexpected and stressful situation.
I highly recommend JVTO’s travel packages. They are absolutely worth the money, and the service is genuinely professional from start to finish. If you are planning to explore East Java, I would definitely recommend travelling with them!

We are a group of friends and we did the 2N3D tour of mount Bromo and Ijien. JVTO team organized the trip in every detail and took care of us. The timing of the trip is well organized so that you get the most of every Moment spent on the island of Java. Exceptional Guide & Driver Made My Trip Unforgettable
JVTO made my trip a very memorable trip. Both the guide (Taufik) and the driver (Fredi) were very warm and kind, easy to engage in conversation and know what they are doing. Not to mention they are very flexible and adaptable as well when the situation calls for it. They also made the trip very safe and being a local guide, they know the tricks and tips to avoid crowd and get the best shots / locations. Best adventure ever!
Since the beginning of the adventure, I have been treated with the utmost respect and friendliness from my tour guide Fauzi and driver Freddy. They arrived early at my hotel for pickup and smoothly assisted me with every single step of the journey.
The experience itself was life-changing, exposing me to some of the most amazing sights I've ever seen, getting right up close and personal at the best times. The hotel transfers were well advised and good quality. The lunch spots were also amazing, and really reflected the placing of importance on sharing traditional culture, which was wonderful for a tourist from Australia like me!

We did 3D2N tour with Ijen
We did 3D2N tour with Ijen, Bromo and waterfalls. The trip went smoothly, accommodation was nice. Our guide made best efforts to accommodate our dietary requirements and stopped at the beach for us to have lunch which we really appreciated.
Main criticism is that we were told Ijen blue fire was not accessible because of government and industry dispute and that it has been the case for months. The website does not mentions this at all and we were only told this the night before. I have highlighted this with the company, but have not heard back.
Second point, that has been resolved after highlighting it to JVTO was that the itinerary included dinner on first day, but we were told to buy our own. We got dinner on day 2 instead. Half of our group unfortunately already had some food before that so it wasn’t utilised and not well communicated.
Overall, good experience but a bit tainted by these issues.

Regarding the Ijen Blue Fire, we also apologize for the disappointment. Access to the Blue Fire viewing area inside the crater is currently subject to government regulations and operational policies, not only weather conditions. Following feedback from guests including yours, we have updated our website and tour information to clearly explain that Blue Fire access depends on the latest regulations and access permissions at Ijen Crater.

First time hiking experience
First time hiking and guide Kiki and Darry was very friendly and experience and really enjoyed our trip a lot!! They were smooth with their planning and know exactly what to do which makes the entire trip very enjoyable and plesant. We just got back from an incredible…
We just got back from an incredible East Java tour with JVTO and we're still buzzing! 4 days, 3 nights of pure magic - Tumpak Sewu, Mount Bromo, and Ijen Crater were breathtaking. Huge shoutout to guide Taufik and driver Joyo - you guys were amazing, made the trip stress-free and super fun 😊. Hotels, food, and the whole expedition exceeded expectations. Taufik our guide has been great
Taufik our guide has been great. Hiked up mount ijen with a 12 and 15 years old in the wee hours of morning. For those with children, you will know it is not easy.
Taufik ensure all briefing is always done prior to all trips and flexible with timing.
When i wanted to eat local durians, he even we dropped by a well known durian stall to ensure we had it before we left!
