If you are not at JD gyms, Fishpond, Bristol, you are missing a lot!
If you are not at JD gyms, Fishpond in Bristol, you do not know what you are missing. Recently I have been having a lil bit of high blood pressure and a high pulse rate. I have been consistent with the regular gym activities daily having registered with JD gyms. I am proud to say here my blood pressure which was high and unstable and the pulse rate, has normalised. Secondly, I usually snore each time I slept. Just last weekend, my wife asked me to remind her of a gist while we were enjoying our gym session, and after the gym sessions, to my surprise she told me I used to snore most times whenever I was asleep, and affirmed the snoring has completely stopped, with a smooth, crisp breathe, as she has been monitoring my general wellness, being a healthcare professional. I give God all the glory. Visit JD gyms today! If you haven't signed up, please do so. This is a sincere review, and not a make up or paid review, but a genuine one.

Better equipment than PureGym
Better equipment than PureGym , Clean , lights are not too bright and good atmosphere the only negative loud music please can you lower the music volume so we can listen to our own music or podcasts

Well equipped but not beginner or anxious friendly
The gym itself is well equipped with plenty of machines and space. However, the staff were extremely unhelpful and robotic. I tried to enquire about personal training but the person I spoke to wasn't interested and wasn't helpful. I asked if there was a page to look up the personal trainers and there availability but was told there wasn't, I would just have to approach them. I asked if any of them had specialities as I have an injury and am disabled, but again wasn't given any helpful information. The main room you walk into is very loud and intense, as a neurodiverse person I really struggled, but the freeweight room at the back was a lot brighter and quieter. I'm anxious about returning but the people using the gym we nice and welcoming, shame about the staff.

Surprised by bait and switch offers
Surprised by bait and switch offers. Sign up for membership showed "Sign up for one month" prominently. And that there are no contracts or "surprises". Once you try to cancel, you find out that they take 30 days to process the cancelation in order to charge you another month.

Work to do!!
Excellent equipment, except:
- The safety hook on the seated calf
raise is slightly too high, so it
becomes ‘dangerous’ when
attempting to put the weight back,
after a heavy set
- The seated bench press machine is
exactly the same as in Pure Gym, which I hated, due to the fact that the
stretch it provides isn’t that great.
This should be improved by any obtaining other chest press machine, than the on stated.
My opinion will probably be ignored, but hey, it’s my opinion.

I re-joined the gym as I have moved…
I re-joined the gym as I have moved back into the area.
I love the gym and it has all the equipment I need, I was however disappointed to note that there were as usual lots of pins? Missing from numerous machines meaning I was unable to change the weight capacity to lift.
Hopefully these will be replaced by the time I visit next
