The gym is good for the price however the cleaning is not so good. I understand that this is a budget gym but hygeine should be a priority especially in an environment where people are exercising. I’ve stopped using the sauna and showers because even though the showers look clean, there is a terrible smell of wee in there every single time. I do think this is due to the cleaning products that are being provided, which do not remove the smell of urine, however im unsure if its actually because of that now, because as you will see further in my review there are other problems. The next issue is the toilets. I actually noticed a few times that the toilets are dirty, now, i understand as its a 24/7 gym, keeping on top of it all the time can be tricky however, I attended the gym at around 11pm, I saw the cleaner working, I went to use one of the toilets and there was a dry looking feaces mark on it and tissue all over the floor. I used another toilet, which was also dirty but with no visable marks. The next day I came to the gym, there had been at least 12 hours past, i went to use the toilet and the exact same mark was still there, along with the tissue. I think that this is unacceptable and very off putting. Theres dust and dry urine on the toilet seats and its just very unpleasent. I dont think i have ever actually seen the changing rooms clean. I know it can be hard work to clean when its always so busy, but maybe that should be flagged by JD gyms to provide more support to the staff so they can do their job properly.

Toilets are disgusting and only one!

No blueroll or sanitising stations etc,I don’t want to lay in someone’s else’s sweat.

I cancelled my membership but they still took £44.99 from my bank, I only accessed the facilities 3 times then decided I had prioty bills so cancelled within my first month, very upset about this as I have bills that need prioty to a gym.

Classes are amazing, the environment is so welcoming and positive. Fantastic facilities.

Excellent experience

A lot of the machines need fixing. I would like to see more machines like the leg extension as there is only 1 for the whole gym and you have to wait ages during busy times.
I like the sled push and there are lots of free weights

The fact it’s open 24/7 is great, plenty of equipment to use so not waiting on things you want to do, absolutely love going.

Something needs to be done about the idiots who go go the gym after hours when it's unstaffed I observed guys literally trying to smash the equipment cable machines shouldn't snap weekly but they do because I have seen guys rather then put the weight stack down just let go and let the stack crash back down. Also I have seen youths squeezing themselves under the doors to get in for free not to mention chewing gum stuck to everything under seats on the equipment. Guys spitting in the sinks. And drinking straight from the taps. God knows they have any health problems. No offence but that is a no no. Great gym but the idiots need sorting

This gym is a joke. They sell that many memberships you can't move in there or get on anything and it's full of kids

Great experience. Very easy to sign up and the facilities are very good.

Dirty toilets, sticky machines, breatheless rooms. And now they decided to increase the price of the membership. Good job, jd, good job

Great facilities but well over populated. I could only use equipment that was free which wasn’t the purpose of joining. With how busy it was, it was quite an intimidating environment. I arrived for my first day to hopefully be shown around by a member of staff but there was none to be seen. I was walking around looking for the female changing rooms & then had to figure out where certain machines were around the gym. I would class it as abit of a free for all if I’m being honest.

Open when you need it, friendly staff to help you when you need it and all the machines you could want. Although they would benefit from more leg machines as there is always a wait for certain ones

Broken machine, yet no warning just left there to be used. Been diagnosed with mild concussion by DRI due to a rotating straight bar falling on my head. Not very impressed - it bloody hurt

First time ever at a gym and as someone with really bad anxiety I quickly realised nobody was staring at me everyone was there for one reason to work out! Felt very comfortable going back everytime!

Always someone there to ask questions

Very easy to rejoin after a bout of illness
