Great atmosphere love how dark it is. Toilet wall was absolutely smeared with shit and snot and gross. A lot of the machines don’t have pins for the weights so you can’t use them unless another mach... Toon meer

Disappointing
The gym is too crowded and I believe that it does not have the capacity to welcome so many people at the same time. On the other hand, compared to the past, I find the gym extremely dirty, especially the bathroom.
I would have loved if using a towel was obligatory and if it was not as cold as it is. If I want to take a shower after my gym session, I will probably end up ill as the temperature in the changing room is not pleasant.

Still loving the gym after 3 years
Still loving the gym after 3 years: nice staff, sometimes busy -sometimes not. Real mix of gender, race and ability.
Hating the new entry gates though! Feels like a prison -only two access points, and not suited to smaller build people.

I had an amazing experience from the first day by joining JD gyms.The gym is so full of energy and equipped with machines for both muscle hypotrophy and cardiovascular as well.so nice and sleek to enjoy the ambience.

Sanitiser in the gym and hygiene in the men’s restroom
Sanitiser in the gym, the toilet has no house keeping reports. Barely you can breathe in the men’s toilet as it stinks and not maintained.

Thanks for the review. The cleaning stations in our gyms have been removed. These were first introduced during the pandemic when Government restrictions required us to do so.
Since all restrictions were lifted some time ago, we have been gradually returning to our normal operations, with the cleaning stations being one of the last remaining measures. We have however, provided extra bottles of sanitiser around the gym and we do encourage our members to bring in their own towel to clean off the equipment after use.
Alongside this, we also have cleaners in the gym who frequently clean the equipment and work to ensure a high standard is maintained. If you do notice any equipment needs a wipe down, please let a member of staff know.

Customer service is top class
Customer service is top class. All advisors I've spoke to have been great.
Jordan specifically, dealt with me twice, I've had a few issues with my membership which made me contemplate keeping my membership running however, he couldn't have done more for me and the way he's dealt with my issues has been a second to none. I'll definitely be keeping my membership running due to the this level of service!

Terrible customer service, I don’t recommend at all
I cancelled my membership by filling the request form on JD website and think I need to cancel the direct debit they went ahead charged me for another month. It’s really hard to speak to someone to resolve the issue because they never answer the phone.

The gym is overall really good
The gym is overall really good. However, the smith machine needs to be fixed sometimes waiting 20/25 mins for the only smith machine in the gym that works properly. Either need to get some more in the gym or fix the one that’s broken

Great staff, not truly 24hrs
Great staff, meant to be 24/7 but the showers/changing room close 0:00am to 5:00am, doesn't tell you that before you sign up

Hello! Thanks for leaving us some feedback, we appreciate it.
We are a 24-hour gym in Leeds Kirkstall, but due to there being less staff on duty throughout the night, areas which are not covered by CCTV are closed t for the safety of our members (i.e. the main changing rooms and saunas).
We do however leave the accessible changing room open at all times, as well as there being lockers for you to use. If you need to get changed or grab a shower during the night, that option is there for you and you'll have complete privacy in there.

Equipment is not in best condition…
Equipment is not in best condition weights all over the place. People that go have no hygiene. Would not recommend

My phone can’t download the app and there’s no way for me to get in using the access code I was sent, I had to wait for a member of staff to let me in and I had to explain why! The experience Didn’t make me feel welcome although the guy was nice enough

New member and already looking elsewhere!
Joined about 3 weeks ago and the cleanliness and maintainance of the gym is shocking, both hip thrust machines are out of order, has a sign on saying looking to get fixed as soon as possible but ine has beennout of order since i joined, I joined for these machines, the toilets look like a city centre gents, the gym floor looks like it gets a mop once a month, the pics on social media look clean, this gym is gross, I should be excited about starting a new gym, what a let down!

Staff do undertake regular maintenance checks and work hard with our equipment providers to ensure that our equipment is fixed as soon as possible, if any should be broken.
We are equally as disappointed when this happens and sometimes need to wait on engineers but will have all equipment in full working order as soon as is safely possible. We completely understand that this can cause frustration for you.
With regards to cleaning, we do have our team going around the gym keeping on top of cleaning regularly, but if you think there is something they've missed please do feel free to email the Manager on leedskirkstall@jdgyms.co.uk.

Not clean
No sanitizers to clean the equipment after use, toilets are not clean, too loud music played inside unable enjoy the music playing on my device and dim lighting inside.

Great staff, decent price, average equipment
Staff/PTs are great, relatively cheap, mostly decent equipment, decent gym! However:
- free weights benches are all incline benches meaning the lower part of the bench is always upright. Very annoying when trying to set up properly.
-bench press benches are very narrow and short.
- cardio equipment particularly the bikes are rubbish. Uncomfortable, doesn’t track data properly, has no battery life unless you are pedalling, feels like they aren’t calibrated to give accurate Watts. Definitely needs bike upgrades
- Most weightlifting platforms are uneven so the bar rolls a lot.
- Air con./temperature always seems way too hot/stuffy.
- can get very busy at times, a lot of members don’t put equipment back.
