JD Gyms - Preston Reviews 

Having trained for more than 40 years this is the first gym that wont let you reenter should you leave something in the cat or have an emergency to attend to at home. Having completed half my workout i had to go home for an hour or so upon returning i couldnt gain access. I could understand this protocol if it were during busy periods but this all took place between 12 midnight and 6 am, at one point i was the only person in the gym.
Of course noone is interested at that time of day so i had no option but to return home. Not exactly sure what the problem is during these hours. In the past i had left a wallet in the gym but of course couldnt gain access so it was left in the hands of the few members in the gyn around 1am in the morning. Got wallet back but not the cash. Of course they could tell from the camera that no one had removed the cash before being on camera. The equipment is mostly good but there are signd of neglect with some items even though the gym hasnt been open long

Very friendly and helpful staff and well equiped weight training room. Clean and tidy rooms. I only joined a week ago so I haven’t tried the classes yet.

Not the gym to go to if your over 30 mostly kids and young posers hogging the machines and if your into getting fit cardiologically I wouldnt bother trying to get a machine. Not a pleasant and friendly enviroment.

Love the gym the only thing is the after hours toilet.. as it’s also the only shower at this time to, so if someone is in the shower you can’t use the toilet

Everything ok, excellent cardio equipment,
Disappointing that other equipment are not enough for everyone so you have to be more patient and wait for your turn.

Good environment good equipment only thing that would improve more is tricep machine

Lovely gym, everyone is friendly and very helpful. Really enjoying the JD Burn class with Ryan. And it's open 24hrs so I can go after work and I don't feel like I don't have time to go to the gym. Great place!

Went to my first class this evening - Boxfit. Everyone was lovely and will definitely be going again

Love that this is a 24 hour gym. The changing rooms were clean and practical and there were staff to help out and answer questions. Unfortunately, the equipment is old and some pieces are in desperate need of replacement. The formation of some equipment can prevent all pieces being used at the same time.

As a former bodybuilder the equipment is Vry good clean and tidy cardio machines r plenty full and well maintained the new 24hr access is great and easy to use

There is no antibacterial spray or anything to clean the equipments after use.

Excellent gym great value for money and great facilities

Staff are really rude in Preston branch got banned due to not putting two kettle bells and a mat back and then when i called them they want me to beg the person who suspended me to be honest other branches Manchester, bury, Bolton really polite

The lovely lady that cleans the ladies changing rooms does a great job keeping them clean.
The showers a not hot enough, it would be great if the shower water was a little hotter with a little more pressure.
The gym has plenty of equipment and floor space and the sauna is lovely.

The equipment is quality, the gym is clean and hygienic , the changing rooms and showers including the sauna is great, overall excellent value for money

My first time visiting my gym...I was refused access!!! Not happy at all 1 star would be generous.

Staff could not identify the problem so...

...I have to ring for assistance and wait to be let in. I cannot go to the gym out of staff hours and so definately not 24 hours for me currently.

I'm waiting for a resolution.

So far very disappointed.

The only downside is it far to busy

I recently rejoined JD Gym Preston after 3 years they moved to new venue. The entire staff is very friendly and helpful and environment in the Gym is brilliant. All staff keep Gym neat and tidy. Also Gym is quite specious. Love going to gym every day.
