Dreadful. Total 'cowboys'.

System originally installed with 60% of panels not functioning. 4 phone calls and 2 site visits later they accepted the problem and rectified.

Next became clear they failed to earth the inverter casing. One month later after a missed appointment they rectified the system.

The app linked to the panels isn't available in android 14+ phones therefore making it impossible to gauge/control how the panels charge/discharge.
Until jfw renewables change their app compatibility to EU phones the efficiency of the panels is completely out of the users hands making them absolutely useless for the owner. As we installed our panels over 2 years ago, costing over €16000, customer service/aftercare fob you off on this vital component in ensuring the maximum efficiency of solar energy. The fact you can't use the app is a complete contradiction to buying the panels in the first place.

Had my installation of Solar Panels now over 18 months, firstly to my surprise JFW installed the panels but they had a separate local electrical company install the electrical equipment and wiring, Bunch of young lads who honestly didnt care less about going in and out of the house bringing dirt in on carpets, you know then there not going to be tidy at their work, They actually wired the fireman switches to an extension lead socket in the attic so now i have to ensure the extension lead is not plugged out, I see othe installs shown on facebook with other companies strongly feel i was ripped off, Now to make things worse my inverter stopped working over a week ago and it feels like im being fobbed off on the service call, they say the scheduler will call next day ,so i call again and same story ,I have taken to contacting the Manufacters of the equipment now to see if they can get the Inverter to work, Thats my experience and feel guilty now for recommending this company to others, Never have written reviews before but this company i feel needs mentioning.

Great company to deal with. Very happy with installation, very tidy and clean. Great service, first phone call to installation was quick and easy. Solar panels installed Nov 2024, esb bills reduced significantly straight away and have been in credit the last few months, will have plenty of credit built up for the winter months. We have a fully electric house, solar panels work perfect, so happy to have gone to JFW renewables.

Utterly atrocious service once the system is installed. Well over 2 years now and anytime I have had issues I either got no call back or told it will be weeks before someone can come out and that there are call out charges. All down to cheap battery powered safety devices they installed and never made us aware of.

To be clear - we asked if any of what they were installing in the most inaccessible part of our attic need to be serviced and were told no.

They never told us of or listed that device on the paperwork. We bought from them before they were consumed by OHK Energy. Not a company I can recommend based on experience with customer support and care.

I have been in contact with the support team for well over a month trying to get my app to reconnect to my panels. I have done everything suggested and followed all the videos sent and can't do it myself. Have asked for a callout. Still waiting and no one has even attempted to contact me. When I ring, am told someone will get back to me. They never do and I keep having to chase them. Aftersales / customer support non existent in my opinion

J W Renewables are just the best company to deal with. They give fast, efficient and professional advice. Will came out measured up, studied our energy bills and then took the information away to calculate how many solar panels and batteries we need. Communication was extremely efficient and he explained it all very simply. There was no pressure to buy which we really appreciated. The installation was smooth and efficient. Scaffolding arrived and was dismantled exactly when he said it would be and on the day of installation the team just got on with it. Everyone had their role and the coordination was slick. It was all done in a day and again Will explained how it all worked and talked us through the app. We are highly delighted with the outcome, after the sales service is always efficient and the panels are excellent providing with cost efficient electricity. We would highly recommend J W Renewables, a really friendly, communicative and helpful team.

Worst service I have come across. Arranged a date and time for panels to be fitted and just didn’t show up. When I called them I found out that the installer had gone to another job and didn’t bother telling anyone.
Invoicing is not transparent.

Presales and ground-mount installation went well (final electrical commissioning & activation mid Sept 2024). However, a lot of debris was left onsite afterwards that we ourselves had to clear/get rid of (such as packaging, wiring, non-used & broken leftover electrical kit, lengths of unused ground-mount metal frame, etc.). In addition, unfortunately, the system has now stopped working *5* times since 20th Nov (latest edit: today is 29th Nov). It keeps tripping solar RCD on fuseboard (latest edit: most recent 2 failures occurred in quick succession earlier today 29th Nov). JFW have advised that failures may be as a result of cold weather (only possible failure due to cold would've been 1st one on 20th Nov), and that their 30mA solar RCD now needs to be changed for 100mA. For the price, a wee bit disappointed with stability/resilience of installed system thus far, as we constantly must review app to check that it's actually working at all.

They fast and efficient and paper work they looked after everything had a bit of a problem with slates after ward's but true to their word fixed it and couldn't be any happier bill's have reduced dramatically

Got solar panels installed by JFW Renewables at the beginning of April, 2024. Preinstallation information & communication was prompt & excellent. Installation was efficient, professional & non intrusive. System is working well, no glitches.

It is now heading towards mid June & I have just been advised by JFW that they have just today uploaded my documentation to the SEAI website to enable final processing of the grant. This is more than 2 months after the works were completed & a full 7 weeks after the BER report was submitted to them. This is shocking aftersale service. So by all means engage JFW Renewables to install your solar panels, just hound them after the works are completed to make sure they fulfill the rest of their responsibilities to you in a timely fashion.

Fantastic service and excellent customer service from all the staff at the JFW. We got 18 panels installed in Furbo,Co.Galway in April 2024 and they did a fantastic job.Excellent communication throughout. They were always in time, top notch professional work and left absolutely everything spotlessly clean inside and outside the house. The system works perfectly. Highly recommend everyone at the JFW renewables team.

The attention to detail and Customer centric approach from start to finish was the standout for me. Pre Sales, installation and after sales technical support modelled that if much larger Organisation. The technical guys in Galway ( especially Gearoid), the electrical guys, both JFW (Donal and Shane) and external electricians plus the actual PV installers were courteous, clean and highly professional. Promises were always kept and the Customer was always put first. Cannot recommend JFW highly enough.

I could not recommend JFW enough. From the office staff (Ola & Anton) to sales (Derick) to the roofers (Damien) to the electricans (Pat and Darrell) I could not have dealt with a nicer group of people. Management are really hiring well and it shows. It was such a pleasure to deal with them.

We got 16 panels installed on our shed by the team at JFW.From start to finish we found the process very easy and very professional. The real proof in the pudding was our electricity bill which we eagerly awaited . Our first monthly ESB bill came in at 9euro followed by 4euro the following month which was was a huge shock. Its a no brainer to get solar panels. JFW highly recommended 👌

After initial problems post installation I found the company were very helpful and called back to clarify any issues we were unsure of
All in all I am thoroughly satisfied and would recommend the company to friends in the future

JFW was efficient and provided plenty of information about the system From the start to finish the staff were courteous and extremely helpful. The installation was
not intrusive. The most important point is their availability to answer the phone when called. The BER inspection was conducted, grant application was processed and paid. The system is working away beyond our expectations. We highly recommend JFW
