i have problem with Premium Membership
4- week plan . I was free to experience, but was charged 2 times payment on paypal. that annoyed me very much and canceled my account . I ask for a refund

I wish I could give this company a BIG FAT ZERO. They are scam artists, no more no less. I signed up for the 4-week trial and accidentally clicked on the toolkit button. There was no mention of price whatsoever so I thought it was free. They claim it’s a two-click purchase, NO I GOT CHARGED RIGHT AWAY. PayPal refused to help because I got my PayPal saved as a payment method. This scam company refused to give me a refund, instead they offered me a free 3-month trial and toolkit and certificate. NO THANKS. The courses are not even great. To make things worse, they make it SO IMPOSSIBLY HARD to cancel! I had to call a number, listen to a robot begging for me to stay, and when the robot finally confirmed the cancellation, did my subscription actually get cancelled? NO! I’ve removed them from my list of Automatic Payments on PayPal so let’s hope I won’t get charged again. I’ve contacted my credit card to try to get my money back. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. SUCH AN UNETHICAL COMPANY. LET’S HOPE THEY’LL GET SHUT DOWN BY THE TRADE COMMISSION!

They are claiming that 4 weeks are free, but charging you right away, because you selected not that 'free' option. I had a horrible user experience, because it was not clear from the beginning what`s is free and what`s is chargeable. Now I feel deceived and lost money. I canceled my membership, for which I actually paid, deleted account and will not recommend them.

I am extremely disappointed with Shaw Academy. A 4 week free trial turned out not to be free at all!! I have $265 worth of unauthorized charges to my credit card that I have tried numerous times to get refunded. I’ll eat the 2 charges for $39.99 for course materials. The remainder of charges equaling $265 I will not accept. This academy is a scam and needs to be shut down immediately!! They trick you into “monthly subscriptions” that they charge the full amount up front with no explanation, not even in the small print. Free trial is a joke, they charge you for the materials which are course quizzes. There is absolutely nothing free with their free trial. When you do finish the webinars and are ready to complete “assignments” it becomes clear that you cannot access any of such assignments and are told thorough email that these “assignments will become available in a few weeks”. Umm, no!!! I have demanded to get my money refunded back that was unauthorized and they continue to argue with me about it, saying that refunds are not possible!! Um, excuse me? Refunds aren’t possible for unauthorized charges??

They debited my account 8 times within 10 minutes when they were not authorised to take any amount.

SCAM COMPANY I originally signed up for a 1 month trial which then turned out to only be a 28 day trial. I tried to cancel part way through and thought I had but the process was misleading and virtually impossible. There are about 4 or 5 steps and on each step they attempt to distract and dissuade you from cancelling. Even when you have been through all 5 steps you then have to call their call centre to cancel where they continue to pressurise you into not cancelling.

In addition to them making it almost impossible to cancel they bombard you repeatedly every day with numerous text messages, what's app messages from 2 Shaw academy accounts, emails and phone calls. I counted over 100 items of spam over less that 28 days and gave up counting the rest. And on top of that were the spam phone calls where they attempt to pressurise you into further purchases. I have asked 3 times for them to stop all communication with me as they also make it impossible to opt out but the spam keeps coming. This contravenes GDPR regulations and I have now reported them to the ico for this.

When on their website, pop ups appear on almost every page you visit attempting to pressurise you into purchasing even more services from them to the point where it makes the site annoying to use. They make it very difficult to avoid clicking on pop ups and links on their spam which immediately enrol you in services or make 1 click purchases that you had no intention of buying.

I have reported this company to the various authorities for their repeated contravention of the consumer rights act.

A mia totale insaputa hanno riattivato la sottoscrizione, addebitandomi arbitrariamente 4 settimane (neanche un mese) di abbonamento. Inutile contattare il servizio clienti, perché non rimborsano e propongono altre settimane gratuite, con il rischio di vedersi addebitare altri costi. Come indicato su TrustPilot non sono affidabile ed inseriscono recensioni positive fasulle. State alla larga.

They offer 4 free weeks, but despite the site in Italian, the lessons are in English, so I preferred to give up and withdraw from the subscription. Unbeknownst to me, they reactivated the subscription, arbitrarily charging me for 4 weeks (not even a month) of subscription. It is useless to contact customer service, because they do not refund and offer other free weeks, with the risk of being charged other costs. As indicated on TrustPilot they are not reliable and post fake positive reviews. Stay away.

Absolutely awful. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. Clearly a scam to steal people’s hard-earned money away. Cancellation process is torture, people being charged without their consent and not being able to cancel.. STAY AWAY

I was a victom of the "free trial". Tried to cancel online (wasn't possible), I phoned the number they gave - went through the whole process and each time selected to cancel. The last recorded message said that my trial was cancelled and I will not be charged. I never received a confirmation of this, so I emailed them as well, asking for immediate cancellation.

They conveniently chose to ignore this email and took $69.99AU out of my account the next day. I have been trying for 3 weeks to get a refund. Their customer service is appalling, most of the time they ignore your emails, and when they do reply they send template emails refusing a refund, offering "free access" and telling you to read the terms of service...

Well, I have read the Terms (which state I can cancel at any time). I do not want any more access to anything they have to offer (it's not free btw, as they took $69.99 from me), and I know for a fact that they do offer refunds, as I hear about a couple of dozen being processed every day.

I have left reviews previously, each time it was met with the same template response:

Well, I have emailed this billing email account quite a few times now, and have had no response from them...

So even their stock standard template reply to negative comments are useless...

I will continue to ask for my refund, and I will continue to warn others against the fraudulent and unethical practices of Shaw Academy.

Absolutely never, ever sign up for anything with Shaw Academy. They will charge you without authorization, set up their site in such a way that clicking anything at all can "accidentally" charge things to your account, again without authorization or verification. Thankfully I only input my PayPal details, and PayPal is already blocking all surprise future payment charges from them). I've already corresponded over email with support - or tried, rather. Instead of admitting their mistake, they attempted to deceive me by saying that I did, in fact, authorize the charge and that there was verification (no, there wasn't, how can there be verification when a single click anywhere even just to see a description of the product will charge you automatically?). I have yet to get a refund even when I requested it twice in one email thread, with only offers of "free content." Interesting, considering that I can already guess they mean to keep me on the run around by giving me more surprise charges all the while. They also try to not let you cancel over internet - you "must call" during their hours, and will not be able to speak to an actual human. Absolute rubbish. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

So i went on to try a FREE trial... at the one-click checkout it says €0,00 so i press okay. Then i see that paypal has actually charged me €40 and subsrcibed me for a monthly fee of €60 which I had to cancel!
Im not waiting for a refund, as I havent even used the site for one minute other then the checkout because I saw it right away that I was falsely charged (they literally steal from people)!!

They contacted me, and the cancellation was successful, however, they do not want to return the money, because they say they cannot according to their policies, stealing policies is what they have, they never trust this academy, the only thing they know is take advantage of people who want to study. I have seen that other people have been charged money from the card even though they have been canceled, it is a total scam this, on top of that they hire people to put good comments.

Signed up for free trial, the course advertised on Facebook didn't exist...keyword advertising at it's best.

Took money from my account within the 28 day trial period, even had the cheek to send a text about making the most of my free trial after I complained to them about taking the money.

So now I will take this to all relevant authorities, including local MP / MSP.

Absolute sham of a company, don't use, avoid, run away, and when you get there, run away further than that.

They are not answering my emails anymore, they stole my money.
I'm denouncing them for Scam and fraud to PayPal, lawyers, the EU commission, and the police.

Okay...free trial looked good. Signed up, but didn't complete billing info as I didn't have time. Immediately the text messages started, asking me to finish my registration. A day later, I finished registering, looked around, and decided it wasn't for me. A fee for this, a fee for that, and the basic course description I looked at was archaic and elementary. Decided to go no further, and certainly didn't order any materials. A day later I see a email saying my course materials were ready for download, and see that they charged me $39.95. I reached out by phone as instructed and asked them to cancel the trial, and return the fees that they charged without my consent. They cancelled the trial and told me to reach out to billing. I reached out to billing via email, and have been offered a 3 month extension of my trial, and all sorts of freebies for which the costs "exceed what I was charged". I responded if they were willing to give me more than they charged, they should just give me back my money! Crickets.....

This is a SCAM and should be avoided at all cost. DO NOT ever give them any money!

Appalling scam company, avoid like plague! They take payment details in their app although the trial would not require this, and fool people into one-click, unprompted purchase "for the free course materials", which obviously do not exist. They push with phone/WhatsApp calls, texts to do that. I cancelled my subscription within one day, well before my first session was due, yet they took my money and are unwilling to cancel my membership. They offer me lifetime access, but won't cancel my financial information and I'm afraid they will keep charging my account. Reported them to my bank the same day I unsubscribed and they investigated then said they were unable to refund. I'm reporting Shaw Academy to Citizen Advice Bureau, police and all relevant authorities now. The more of us do, the sooner this con company will be shut down for good.
