I love having 1 app for everything

I love having 1 app for everything. It works well most of the time. We've had occasional issues with getting notifications and punching in/out.

Very Poor Phone Support

Homebase app and portal are convenient and easy to use, HOWEVER, and a BIG HOWEVER, when it comes to receiving customer support over the phone, HomeBase is absolutely terrible at that. I would rank phone support from HomeBase as a 1/10, if even that. Today I inquired on the app for support and requested a call that said I should be receiving a call within the next 5 minutes. It's been 6 hours since then, still nothing. And this isn't the first time that happened. Very discouraging knowing that when you need help from the company, that they're not there for you.

Up to date schedules 100% of the time!

I like that the schedule is always up to date in real time and that each employee has it available at their convenience. This completely eliminated the "I didn't know I was supposed to work today" issues.

Ease of setting up the homebase system…

Ease of setting up the homebase system and the apps to use for staff to report their hours. Calculating hours for payroll was easy.
I have retired and my partner student staff has used this app to report her hours
I would definitely recommend this cost-effective system

Doesn't work

Doesn't work. Clock in function does not record and wants you to clock in all the time.

Depending on which time clock you’re using, it could be a settings issue—especially if it’s the Homebase Time Clock app. It may also be related to clocking into an unscheduled vs. scheduled shift, or needing to update your device’s OS and Homebase app version.

Extremely Easy and User Friendly

Extremely easy to convert payroll; Homebase handled almost everything for our company. Payroll processing is easy and so affordable. Homebase also caught local tax requirements that ADP allowed to go missed for years.

deceptive marketing practices. promised me a gift card/credit when i signed up plus 3 months free but had to call every month to get the credit and never got the giftcard

bad update pushed by Homebase resulting…

bad update pushed by Homebase resulting in over 6 weeks of non working messaging system / unability for the teams to communicate. Over 2 months later we still have an unreliable messaging system and HB doesn't care

The messaging issue you mentioned should now be resolved. To ensure the best performance, please make sure your device is running the most up-to-date OS (iOS 17–18 or Android 12–15), and that you’ve updated the Homebase app. Clearing the app cache in your phone’s settings may also help.

We like the ease of being able to…

We like the ease of being able to assign shifts and they are notified of them. However, i wish there was a way to enter an officer's availability to make it easy to upload into open shifts.

Regarding officer availability: if you're on any of our paid plans, team members can update their own availability directly in the app. If you're using the Basic plan, the owner profile can update it for them. We hope that helps streamline things even more!
