She understood where I was coming from as a parent trying to assist a family member to get a first mortgage. I do not reside in the U.K. and am unfamiliar with the various schemes that are available. Emma was quick and efficient in her research. Excellent.

What stood out for me most was I genuinely felt that my best interests in mind even going the extra mile to ensure she secured me the best mortgage offer which was very reassuring especially when the process can already feel overwhelming. Prompt responses, industry-expert advice, constantly fighting my corner and chasing on my behalf. She negotiated some amazing offers with agents on my behalf, and this was the real turning point in my search. She found me TWO great mortgage deals: one initially, and one when the first lenders balked about the property I had chosen.

Just Mortgages are relatively expensive compared to many mortgage brokers, but at every step Lydia went above and beyond to make the cost worth my while -- I couldn't have done it without her, and I couldn't be more grateful!

Unimpressed by their ability to process simple drawdown requests. Prepare for arbitrary requests for documents and invoices which could be easily circumvented.

I had an appointment with Richard to remortgage, initially everything went to plan the meeting was booked, had my meeting and was told he would be in touch to provide me with the offers. I waited and waited he never got back to me, i called and emailed and no response. This has meant i have now had to sort everything my self with weeks to spare and having to pay to get another valuation done as mine has now expired! I worked with an adviser called Adam at Just Mortgages in early 2024 and unfortunately my experience wasn’t positive. I had contacted the firm to understand my options about remortgaging or selling, as I needed clear advice around removing my ex-partner from the mortgage.

I found that much of the communication took place by phone without written follow-up, which made it difficult to keep track of where things stood. I also didn’t feel I received clear guidance on the alternatives available to me at a crucial time, and this left me in a very challenging position when my previous mortgage deal came to an end.

I pursued the matter through the Financial Ombudsman Service. Although the Ombudsman ultimately did not uphold the complaint, the situation has continued to cause me stress and financial difficulty, and I personally would have valued clearer advice and more transparent communication from the start.

This review reflects my own experience, and I would encourage others to make sure they request written confirmation of all advice and options when dealing with any mortgage adviser.”
