Superb quality content long delivery

The study Kits by Kaplan are the absolute best texts for AAT without a doubt, they are concise and filled with the exact information you need but also elaborate everything perfectly, with the perfect amount of detail and framing of knowledge. The problem is the textbooks sometimes take 7 days or more sometimes ten to arrive. The exam study kits are actually quite thin and not as extensive as Bpp media for example which dont allow for as much question practise they could be longer, although the content inside is superb, it does require further supplementation which is good for study. There is also the issue of very few discounts, loyalty schemes or rewards or incentives to repeat customers. I have bought all my aat level 4 books with Kaplan and only found one discount after using Osbourne books whos 2022 texts were appalling but 2016 texts were acceptable. The quality and content of the study texts is however unmatched and I have never failed when using them and reading 4 times over. The exam kits could be longer and after buying over a dozen Kaplan books I would have hoped to have some recognition or discount etc.

Disappointment

Although I enrolled in the first course on December 25, I have not received the study materials to date. As a result, I missed the March exam. The support team attempted to resend the books several times, but the dispatch issues remain unresolved. Additionally, the pocket notes are not available for download. I intend to claim reimbursement for the cost of the study materials.

I’m disappointed with Kaplan’s learning materials

I’m disappointed with Kaplan’s service. The website clearly states that printed materials are included, which strongly implies comprehensive physical resources like textbooks. However, fot Distance learning, what I actually received was far from that expectation.
There were no proper physical learning materials provided-no full printed study guides—just “pocket notes,” which are not an adequate substitute. To make matters worse, even those arrived nearly two weeks late.
This is misleading at best. If Kaplan advertises printed materials, they should be transparent about what that actually includes. Students rely on these resources to study effectively, and this lack of clarity—and delay—directly impacts preparation.

Regarding the course materials, within the ACCA section of our website under the “What’s Included” section, it explains that the Study Text and Exam Kits are provided digitally via BibliU. For Distance Learning courses, only a physical copy of the Pocket Notes is included.

Delivery times are off the charts

Delivery times are off the charts. Kaplan claims delivery within the EU should take between 5 and 7 days. This was easily met with their previous delivery company when orders came in within 3 to 5 days after ordering. Now they switched services, to cut costs probably, and delivery is currently 30 days underway with the books still stuck in customs. For reference, I am located in The Netherlands, so it should be processed quite quickly. No message from Kaplan whatsoever and response times are 14 working days for complaints. Absolutely terrible customer service for a delivery which costs 65 pounds (€75 euros). I would highly recommend buying ACCA books somewhere else at this current pace.

Worst experience ever book £28 charges delivery £20 that covers nothing as delivery company are looking for another €15 contacted Kaplan customer service saying and they can have it back where I got an reply please rate our service total mess never again.

Due to varying interpretations of the post-Brexit EU/UK trading agreement, some EU countries are imposing import duty on the value of the goods received from the UK. It is payable by the end consumer via the delivery company and your delivery may be withheld until paid. This may vary from country to country and be up to a value of 20% of the value of the study material.

2 AAT Level 4 PNTA Defective E-Books

I have purchased 2 AAT Level 4 PNTA ( Personal Tax) e-books. Neither work properly. They don't load properly (at all) in VitalSource online and don't have full functionality offline in the PC app. I explained this on the phone to Kaplan (after another ptoblem not initially receiving the order) and they washed their hands of this problem, telling me to talk to Vitalsource. I then wasted hours in contact with Vitalsource trying to resolve the problem. Eventually their technical support concluded that they could not resolve the problem, stating that the problem is the files they were provided by Kaplan. They closed the case saying they would pass back to Kaplan. Conclusion you sold me 2 e-books that don't work properly: don't work online, offline functionality has no contents list, the page numbers are not correctly referenced, the print function does not work. This makes the Exam Kit practically unusable for me and I have an exam in 2 days time booked via Kaplsn which I am not properly prepared for and which you will tell me I cannot rearrange without losing the money paid. "Computer says no". I would like a refund and an apology!
