It was a very pleasant experience from start to finish. We got our quote sent over quickly and arranged an appointment for the following week.
Sam was very friendly and checked the property thoroughly. He also helped with a couple of queries we had about some issues. The report was then sent to us that same evening. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for snagging.

As first time buyers we were reassured…

As first time buyers we were reassured immediately with his calm and collected demeanour. He was quick efficient and very thorough, gave a comprehensive but understandable breakdown of key things, would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a snagging service.

Absolutely amazing service from start…

Absolutely amazing service from start to finish. Initial communication with Hollie was amazing and they were on it, contacting my developer and getting booked in. The surveyor was amazing and produced the most amazing report that we have been able to put to the developer highlighting all the issues with the property. The report was completed and sent to me on the same day.
Fully recommended if you are buying a new property.

Knott Bros exceeded our expectations

Knott Bros exceeded our expectations. Hollie was amazing and responded to our emails immediately. The report, with supporting photos, was received on the day of the survey. It was easy to understand and very detailed. We would highly recommend their services.

From booking the survey in to receiving the report, the service has been great. The report is detailed and clear and Hollie sent it to the developer on my behalf the day after the survey took place. I highly recommend this company

Confused professional shoddy job

Our 3 BHK property was snagged by an expert as per Knott Brothers. He talked and talked but was confused with basic tap functioning on hot and cold water. He did not even check for hot water running on top floors and we paid around 500 quid for this. When contacted about issues we faced due to poor snagging, they mentioned about pictures for investigation which is more effort and time waste. I should have saved this amount and better to start livikg there to figure issues by yourself with common sense and tools from amazon.

Based on your reply today, there was no monetary refund that we requested and I mentioned that I was not keen on your investigation procedures and neither I wanted to waste anymore time or effort sending pics and evidences you requested over mail. Also all keys were available and we spoke on length with no clear acceptance. I have written the review so that others should understand the value of services!!

Dear Avinash,

I am sorry to hear that you were extremely disappointed with our service. As you say, we began a formal complaint process when you contacted us, but you advised that you did not wish to proceed with that. I would be happy to continue this process if you would like to at any point.

We are always keen to ensure that complaints are handled in a professional manner, aiming to reach an outcome that is satisfactory to the customer. A critical part of this process is ensuring that we gather the complete list of issues a customer has upon first complaint. I am sorry that you felt this was not worth your time and effort, but given that your initial email only stated that you had “discovered several basic issues that we believe should have been easily identified by an expert. Plumbing with no hot water, door lock issues, etc”, I hope you can see why it is important for me to ask for more information.

Additionally, I could see from your report that our surveyor had identified an issue with the hot and cold water to the WC basin, and had not been able to test the patio doors operation because the keys had not been provided by the site team (despite request). Naturally, I’m therefore keen to understand if there’s any overlap between these issues and the comments in your email. As I am not present on site myself during the survey, my investigation always intends to clarify what happened – using information from the client, the report, the surveyor, and other parties if necessary.

I provided you with my direct contact details and invited you to provide a summary of your issues by phone or by email; namely a brief description of the issue, the location/room, and photo(s) only where relevant or necessary.

You called me after receiving my request, however you did not want to provide a list of issues via this call, instead you wanted me to proceed straight to a monetary refund of some kind. I advised that, while this may be part of an outcome to a complaint where relevant, I was unable to know if this was appropriate without investigation first. You were dissatisfied with this, and heavily implied that your review would likely be conditional on a refund value that I should decide upon without any further information. I declined, and explained that we send the review link to all customers without fear or favour, which is important because it is the reason Trustpilot state on our public company profile that we “ask our customers for reviews — whether positive or negative” and that this means we “tend to have a more representative star rating”.
