Great course on Financial Markets and Trading
I recently completed the diploma in Applied Financial Trading which included remote learning with live webinars and a few days on-site with the LAT team. Very positive experience overall. The course structure and content is comprehensive and the LAT tutors are very knowledgeable, always engaged and available provide to support. Highly recommend to anyone looking to expand their knowledge of financial markets and trading.

Honest Review of LAT - My Experience
I initially gave 2 stars because I thought they were genuinely decent people, but I have now changed it to 1 star. Here’s why:
They are not responsible for scoring students' assessments for their diploma, which can be extremely tense and challenging.
You are required to complete at least three main assessments, each involving extensive research and thousands of words of writing.
Be cautious: if you use any online tools to improve your writing or make your answers appear more professional, your work might not meet their requirements. This is because a third-party software, used by the organisation responsible for qualifying you, can detect if online tools were utilised to enhance your work.
I should mention that I am a self-taught trader with 9 years of experience.
Despite this, I ended up wasting £2,500 and over three months of hard work attempting to complete my diploma, but it wasn’t deemed good enough.
So, don’t let yourself be the next victim!
Additionally, most of the lessons and training provided during the course are already available for free online—on platforms like YouTube or Google.
This is my honest experience with LAT and what I went through with them.
so , Before committing to any course with them, think carefully about what you’re getting into.
You won’t find a more honest review than this.

After leaving my first review, I received an email from the director, Paddy, asking me to remove it!
I feel their response misrepresented my experience, which led me to reduce my review from 2 stars to 1 star.
In my case, I used some tools to improve my spelling and grammar, which I believe contributed to my diploma not being accepted.
Again, I feel that I wasted £2,500 and three months of my time on a course that did not deliver what I hoped for.
I recommend avoiding LAT if you’re looking for value for money, as I feel the scoring process may not fully account for the effort and commitment put into the course.

Thanks for your comment that we’re “genuinely decent people”, but we’re sorry you felt the need to blame us for something that is out of our control. You tell us you’re not happy with the way your diploma assessments have been handled, but we’re obliged to follow our accreditor’s rules at all times, so we’d like to correct a couple of points you made in your review.
Our sole aim is to help individuals like yourself achieve their personal trading goals. Our expert tutors and traders have been available to answer your questions 10 hours-a-day, 5 days-a-week throughout your LAT programme, and you’ve had several 1-on-1 calls with our academic team to give you help and advice during this time. I don’t believe this personal expert advice service is available on YouTube.
You also mentioned that when you posted your review, you “… received an email from the director, Paddy, asking me to remove it!”. This is simply not the case, and we are disappointed that you feel you can say this, so we’ve copied Paddy’s response here to clarify exactly what was written:
“It is our responsibility to mark/score student assessments, but this is an accredited Diploma, and our accreditors (regulated by Ofqual, the UK government regulators) have very strict rules that they are required to follow. It is completely standard practice these days for all student work (at schools, academies and universities) to be checked for AI/plagiarism by Turnitin. We are obliged to do this for every student, and our accreditors will re-check your work using Turnitin anyway, so this process simply cannot be avoided.
I’d like to get this situation sorted and I’d be happy to have a chat with you to see how to find a solution.
Do let me know when would suit you for a chat today or later this week.”
Instead of reaching out to us for help and advice, you chose to downgrade your 2* review to 1*.
We understand you want to be given a free audition for a $100,000 live account, but these auditions are only available to students who pass their Diploma assessments. You mentioned that you “… used some tools to improve my spelling and grammar…”, but your AI score of 79% (generated by Turnitin) indicated that your assignment was mostly written by AI/ChatGPT, not by yourself.
You also claim your assignments “weren’t deemed good enough” by us. On the contrary, they were certainly good enough, but your AI score of 79% suggests they were written by ChatGPT or something similar, not actually written by you. We provided you with detailed written feedback on your assignments to enable you to resubmit your work (at no extra cost), but you simply told us “… this is my best I can do” and left it at that.
With the best will in the world, our accreditors simply cannot award you with a Diploma in this case.
We repeat our offer for you to resubmit your assignments again, and we’re here to help in any way we can to help you achieve your goals.

Investing in Fine Art course
I recently took the virtual course Investing in Fine Art with Chris Craig, and it was an excellent experience. Chris is incredibly knowledgeable and shared great tips and insights throughout the course. As an amateur investor, I learned so much about improving my understanding of the art market, including what questions to ask galleries, how to evaluate opportunities, and which art fairs to attend. Fantastic Training Provider
Prior to locating LAT, I had tried two other trading educational avenues, sadly both resulting in disappointment, wasted time and money, so naturally when I discovered LAT, I was nervous to invest yet more money and time. However, having now completed the 12 week course, I am pleased to say, deciding to make LAT a part of my educational journey towards transitioning into the world of trading has been, without doubt a fantastic choice. Having been looking for a career change…
Having been looking for a career change for some time I really wanted to find a source of income that was wholly independent and not reliant on expensive marketing campaigns and endless meetings pitching to win work, day trading appeared to fit that quite well.
Having looked at many ways to learn trading I took the decision that formal education was the only way build a strong knowledge foundation to take forward and having done lots of research LAT stood head and shoulders above all others to provide this and receive an accredited qualification.
When booking my place on to the course the communication and service was outstanding which really made me feel completely at ease with my decision.
I chose to study from home for flexibility with my current work commitments and from day 1 of starting the course I was immediately impressed with the quality and content of the recorded lectures that were then supported by multiple webinars daily.
While I didn't have the time to go on the live webinars I did watch every recording that was posted out the same day very efficiently and on the rare occasion I had any questions they were very quickly answered by the tutors via email.
On the webinars all of the tutors had different approaches and mindsets to trading which was impressive to see and helped to give a holistic view of trading and the psychology of trading, I honestly couldn't fault any of the tutors they were amazing, highly knowledgeable and very engaging to watch.
Since completing the HND I have successfully passed multiple prop firm challenges and now trade with their funding allowing me to leave my full time career almost immediately.
In summary I would highly recommend LAT from the outstanding training and exceptional tutors, I couldn't have asked for a better start to my new career.

Long-term Stock Trader…
I have been a long-term stock trader and wanted to learn Technical Trading Skills to reinforce my decisions on owning/selling stocks. Attending London Academy of Trading was a great decision!!! LAT instructors/traders cover complex subject in a condensed time-frame. Their model of classroom presentations reinforced my understanding by also providing 3X daily Webinars and videos of training sessions as well a mentoring support to answer questions and concerns, I recommend attending LAT because I found the best way to learn and improve investing and trading skills. In addition, this training program offered the opportunity to learn and gain a greater understanding of many financial markets and their respective trading strategies.

A great introduction to Trading
I began with the Introduction to Financial Markets & Trading course, and after a week I was hooked and stayed on for the 4 week Trading Skills course.

Amazing course
I recently completed the 12 week course with LAT.

Brilliant trading course

LAT, the best place to get a methodical and structural approach to trading.
I was searching for a while, an academy where I could get a methodical and structured trading education, and I found it in LAT. Once you get there the basics and theory of trading, you are also guided to obtain the methodical approach to the markets, which includes a tight risk management. I think it will be very very difficult to pass the course at LAT and not be a profitable trader. The teachers and tutors are great, very knowledgeable, and helpful the daily 10 hours, the whole week.

12 week Diploma- Amazing!
I was welcomed by the LAT team in February 2024 and have just finished my 12 week diploma course. I started the course with little knowledge of trading which expanded exponentially throughout the 12 weeks.
The Admin team was very helpful and answered any question I had before the course started.
The Tutors were great throughout the course explaining in great detail the topics and units on the course. If I had a question or if there was not something I understood they would take the time to explain. Very professional!
A well structured course!
I can now make and adjust my strategy with the tools I have learnt on this course to pursue my career as a trader.
I would recommend the course to anybody thinking about taking a career into the trading world or to further expand on your knowledge you currently have.
100% worth every penny.
