This is my favorite website to use when looking for a sublet. I have had a great experience. Currently I am in a sublet I love so much. The process is smooth and easy, Ohana staff guide you every step of the way, vetting out the hotel and tenant, and ensuring payment is secure. LOVE IT! - CANNOT RECOMMEND ENOUGH!!!

Amazing platform! As a Superhost and a person who does sublets and rentals for a living (I know all the other platforms), I can say that Ohana team is doing a great job.

Working with Ohana was probably the easiest housing experience of my life. Trying to find a sublease in the city for the summer was absolutely awful until I found Ohana. It was like I had a broker who was on my side, plus I didn’t have to worry about being scammed. I found an amazing deal for something I would not have found otherwise that was exactly what I wanted. I was in between apartments due to my friend’s lease ending after mine did and I was absolutely lost in what to do for the interim. I have had multiple friends be scammed on FB marketplace when looking for a sublet and I was too traumatized by their stories to use FB. Luckily, I stumbled upon Ohana and I was easily able to find a short term sublet to move into while I was in between apartments. It was a lovely experience and I would highly suggest using it if you are looking for a safe way to find a sublet in NYC.

I highly recommend Ohana if you need a short term apartment rental in NYC. They will save you hundreds on rent. They also give exceptional service and their rent process is quick and easy.

Ohana is the easiest and safest way to rent an apartment. Much better than FB market place as the property and homeowners are verified. My roommates and I were able to find a perfect place for us over the summer on Ohana.

I am currently subletting my apartment through Ohana. The process was very simple.

During this process I was approached by several other companies to sublet with their platform, most of these were using off shored employees to handle everything. Ezra reached out to me personally to check in, and I really appreciated that.

I think there are a lot of people in the space, and I would guess some of these reviews are coming from those subletting services.

I had a great experience.

It was sooo easy to find a sublease for me and my friend through Ohana’s website! The process was easy and transparent! I tried Facebook first but so many scammers that I gave up but eventually tried Ohana and thank god I found something before moving out of my current place.

I booked a sublease with them, but they were unprofessional and rude via email. They sent my security deposit using the wrong payment method without any confirmation. Then, after I immediately told them, they told me they could not help me at all. Terrible middlemen. I would use other subleasing websites. I truly believe the only reason why we had a successful sublease was because the original tenant and I had a great relationship.

Last year I got scammed trying to find a sublease in NYC, and it was a total disaster. Then someone told me about Ohana saying it’s the only place to find legit subleases. Honestly my experience with Ohana was amazing. They verify hosts, set up quick intro calls, and only release payment after you move in. I’m a current NYU student and needed to sublet my apartment for a month when going home to see family. I was able to sublet it within 2 days of listing on Ohana! It was amazing so needed to write a review! If you don’t want to deal with scams or stress, use Ohana to sublet!

I had a horrible experience with Ohana, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others.

I booked a sublet through their platform, signed the agreement, and made the full payment in advance. When I arrived at the apartment on the check-in date, I was denied entry by the doorman.

I tried reaching out to both the tenant and the Ohana team. To my dismay, there was no response from either party. I was left completely stranded, without any information or support from Ohana.

Despite numerous attempts to contact Ohana about a refund for my deposit and rent payment, I have yet to receive any response or resolution.
