Extremely disappointing experience
Extremely disappointing experience. I requested a copy of the 75-point inspection report for my Cupra Formentor over two weeks ago after identifying serious concerns, including overdue brake fluid maintenance and a leaking front shock absorber—both issues that raise questions about whether the pre-sale checks were properly carried out.
Since sending my request, I have called five times and each time have been told it is “being sorted,” yet no one has provided the information requested or followed up with me. To make matters worse, on one occasion the phone was put down on me, which is completely unacceptable customer service.
I have been patient and given multiple opportunities for this to be resolved directly, but the lack of communication, poor handling of a legitimate concern, and apparent disregard for customers has been very frustrating. I would not expect this level of service from a dealership and would not recommend based on my experience.
Good communication and good customer…
Good communication and good customer service easy to deal with
Poor service
I recently travelled 45 minutes from Redbridge to view a car at this dealership and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience.
When I arrived, the car I had come to see was being washed and I was simply told to look around the forecourt in the meantime. Afterward, I was handed the keys and told that a test drive would only be possible if I had already decided to purchase the car, which didn’t feel like a customer-friendly approach.
I was particularly interested in a VW Golf and a Skoda, but struggled to get any information. While some staff were busy with customers, there were others who did not appear occupied and made no effort to assist, which gave the impression that helping customers was not a priority.
Overall, the level of service fell well below expectations and left a negative impression.
This is one car dealer worth visiting
This is one car dealer worth visiting. Shopping for a new car is one of the most tedious things but LMC I could look and get in cars to see without hassle. I had Jen as my sales man, not pushy he was really laid back.
When I was ready and found the car that suited me a deal was quickly done. Still feel 3 months later like I got an incredible deal.
Got a car less than a year
My brother got a car less than a year, not usable again. Called them and they sounded unbothered.

We bought a low mileage Audi A5 at a good price and went to see the car. When I questioned the history of the car and any accidents the salesman answered truthfully. We negotiated that he did mot and service while I paid for the spare key. I returned a few days later and collected the car. Lovely smooth ride back to Wales. Customer service could improve but then they are a small company.
BMW 4 series issues
I initially contacted to view a BMW 420i 2022.
I part-ex'ed my old car at which they did provide a fair value on-top of my contribution deposit towards the vehicle on which I also took their warranty for a staggering £1100.
While inspecting the car, I noticed some large scuffs spanning the entire passenger headlights that had looked like the car hit another vehicle or a wall as there were thick scratches on the left headlight and was told that it was due to be replaced and that the vehicle was not involved in any accidents. However the front bumper showed that it was misaligned to which I was also advised they would re-align before the vehicle went for it's service & MOT, none of it was carried out upon pick up.
On the same day of pickup, the vehicle was throwing up errors like "Driver Assistance features restricted"- "Emergency call system unavailable), I was told by the salesperson that the e-cell was changed before the service and that I would be booked in with a BMW specialist to re-code/clear the fault codes alongside another small issue where one of the front sensors was not working.
I was advised by the repairer that the KAFAS system was completely dead same with the TCB unit.
The parking sensor was randomly going off at times, I reminded the salesperson of what was agreed would be fixed and that I would not walk away with a car I was unhappy with.
Now comes the fun part, I had established with the salesperson that I would need the finance milage set to 10,000 Miles a year as it includes a bit of leeway for me to make longer trips possible aside from the daily work commute & social usage, I was not sure if I wanted to pay it outright and just own the car in case any trouble came up. However the agreement shows the milage had been set to 8000 miles p/annum, when confronting the salesperson regarding it he advised me that it was to get a cheaper monthly quote, which is rather unprofessional.
Over a month has gone by most of the issues have been fixed by a BMW approved repairer at LMC's cost (the repairer fixed all issues professionally) but I am still waiting on the passenger visor, my passenger was adjusting her make up just to open the visor and find that the mirror was fully smashed, and was told I could have been the one to broke it when I drove the vehicle 4 times in total before finding that, once again the 75 point check is non-existent.
I have been going back and forth to get the issues fixed and wasted time and have barely driven the vehicle, car was not handed over in good standards and the post sale care was lacking heavily.
Lastly, the second key.. I was given a second key that is completely for the wrong car model, and I confirmed it does not work as the primary key's battery died within the first month, attempted with secondary no luck, exchanged both batteries also no luck. When checking the model I should have received a G22 spare key Model ID21A instead the spare key is for a IDGNG1 F-series BMW, meaning someone may have the spare key to my vehicle... I was told they are under no obligation to have two working fobs when this goes against Consumer Rights Act, two vehicle keys present pre-sale and handed two keys, complete vehicle misdescription while posing a big security risk as we have no clue where that key is.
They got me the best deal around
They got me the best deal around! Very happy with my purchase and would definitely consider LMC when it’s time to change my car again.
Never buy from these Scammers 🙀🙀🙀🙀
BUYERS BEWARE !!!!!
I have just had an extremely poor experience with LMC Dealership (London Motor Company). I purchased a vehicle less than 10 months old with 9,579 miles, which was returned within 24 hours due to serious and visible defects. These included oil contamination in the engine bay, battery corrosion and acid residue, a loose battery, oil splashes on the bonnet, water ingress in the lights, and burn marks on the interior.
These are safety-critical issues and wholly unacceptable in a vehicle of this age. Despite claims that no “mechanical fault” was identified, the vehicle clearly failed to meet satisfactory quality, safety, and fitness for purpose under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. The car was never accepted and remains formally rejected.
Please Buyers , Never buy from them if you want a peace of mind!!!
⚠️ WARNING TO BUYERS
⚠️ WARNING TO BUYERS – LMC Dealership (London Motor Company) ⚠️
I purchased a vehicle from LMC cars that was less than 10 months old with 8,579 miles, but I had to return it within 24 hours due to serious safety and quality issues.
The car had:
• Oil contamination in the engine bay
• Battery corrosion and acid residue, plus a loose battery
• Oil splashes on the inside of the bonnet
• Water ingress in the lights
• Burn marks on the interior
I have extensive pictorial evidence that l can post here as evidence if requested.
These defects are safety-critical and completely unacceptable for a nearly-new vehicle.
Despite LMC’s claims that no “mechanical fault” was found even though they had no service book or documentation for the car and several conflicting explanations for the defects -the car does not meet the standards of satisfactory quality, safety, or fitness for purpose under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. It was never accepted and remains formally rejected.
Buyers – proceed with extreme caution if you do not want to be scammed of your hard earned cash!!!!
Poor experience of using this company.
Poor experience of using this company.
Purchased a vehicle in November. Gave up part ex.
Part ex was not processed until 6th January resulting in losing two months road tax because instead of back dating the sale to November.
I know this because I spoke to dvla twice.
Three emails to LMC. No responses at all.
Vehicle I purchased had a warning light come on five days after. I took car back after speaking to warranty company and was told they couldn't book it in until 3 weeks later.
Was informed to get diagnostics from a garage of my choice which took my time.
Then once garage confirmed issue I had to deal with Warranty company only to find out then the warranty isn't worth much at £300 per claim. Work done by garage of my choosing but I had to pay and then reclaim via lmc.
So, be warned the warranty isnt really worth much at £300 a claim if your fault is going to cost much more. And fortunately for me the garage I use isnt greedy, and labour isnt like the main steamers but it was still over £200 just to replace the thermostat.
Highly recommend LMC
Highly recommend LMC, ask for Will he was fantastic to deal with and will definitely go back there again.
Great Experience
Customer service and ease of deal was great, we were helped by Mo who was happy and a great conversationalist. We got a good deal for our car and were happy to be upgrading to our dream car with the help of LMC. Couldn't be happier with the service and the condition of the car once we collected. We have had some terrible experiences with other car dealers so this was a breath of fresh air, cant recommend enough.
Great place to buy a used car
Great place to buy a used car, really helpful staff without being intrusive, I will definitely be back, special thanks to William for his willingness to quickly solve small problems and to their workshop team for the excellent work on my New Mustang match E.
Excellent customer service…
Very good selection of cars and excellent customer service
Smooth informative transition with purchase.
There was no lack of Information or communication. Any queries were dealt with promptly and professionally giving us the assurance that we were dealing with a trustworthy company as this was our first time dealing with them. We would have no issues in recommending them to anyone else. It was a pleasant hickup free process and we are very pleased with our purchase. Thank you LMC..
Brilliant customer service from Paul…
Brilliant customer service from Paul Phillips from start to finish , car is fantastic and we will definitely be purchasing our next car from this company again
DO NOT APPROACH
This company are greedy people,I trusted these, they said the van I bought had a 72 point mechanics check as soon as I got it home the water pump is broken. Now after 5 months I have no van the engines broke and no one wants to no,there is a reason why AA won’t use these and that’s because there criminals. DO NOT USE THIS GARAGE THEY LIE AND VERY DISHONEST.
Warning — Avoid this dealership at all costs!
Warning — Avoid this dealership at all costs!
Be extremely careful when dealing with these people. I paid a deposit without being told whether it was refundable or not, and after checking, I realised there was no document signed by me and no test drive done. I cancelled the purchase within a few hours on the same day — yet they are refusing to return my money.
After doing some research, I found many negative reviews describing the same tactics. It seems they make a living by taking deposits from customers without giving clear information and then refusing refunds. Totally unprofessional and unethical behaviour. Save yourself the stress and go to a reputable car dealer instead.
Avoid this company and do not place…
Avoid this company and do not place deposits!!!! The deposits are not refundable!!! The vehicle was not advertised correctly and when I stated this or asked them to confirm details messages weren’t responded too! Opened a case with my credit card company!
And before you respond saying you have full recordings etc etc…. So do I, all evidence submitted for the case review!
