My experience with this service was nothing short of a nightmare. The level of professionalism was abysmal, and I felt like I was dealing with a bunch of scammers. It seemed like they were trying to extort money from me at every turn, and I couldn't believe the audacity of their actions.

I had to use their service (found through Google) as we got locked out, and my key broke in the lock. To be fair, the locksmith arrived promptly in 20 minutes. I asked for the fragment to be extracted as I had a spare key, but the locksmith chose to drill it instead with many excuses.

It took him 10 minutes to do the job, and I was charged a staggering £300 for it.

In addition, there was no clear communication throughout the entire process. I was left in the dark about important details, and it was nearly impossible to get a straight answer from anyone involved. This lack of transparency only added to my frustration and confusion.

Furthermore, when I phoned to complain, they simply hung up on me, leaving me feeling helpless and even more frustrated.

Overall, I would strongly advise against using this service. It was a terrible experience filled with scummy practices, extortion attempts, bad service, and a complete lack of clear communication. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for a more reputable and reliable option.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! They arrived and intimidated my mum into paying an extortionate amount and then they BROKE the lock. They came back to "fix it" and tried to charge even more. They are professional scamming scumbags.

Scammers. Charged us 280 pounds to change a lock at Christmas which should have cost £50 max. Left it broken and then wanted another £80 to fix it! They’ve been reported.

Charged me £436 for breaking into my lock and replacing it, I really should've told him to leave.

Scammers ! Do not use ! They are intimidating criminals- charge astronomical prices / fakes offices / fake VAT. AVOID AT ALL COSTS !!! Have reported to police and fraud office.

local locksmiths 247 (and other similar websites), are all run by criminals and will intimidate you and scam you out of £1000's!
I called the number on the website after my door jammed, a guy turns up 45 mins later and quotes £269 to open door, drill and replace lock.
At the end he gives an invoice for over £2600, all the time claiming that it's expensive because it’s a high security lock and that he has to change all the mechanisms (which he actually didn’t), then telling me not to worry because insurance will pay out, (they most likely won't).
This is a well-practiced scam/con, they know exactly what to say and how to get you to the point, where you’re forced to pay out x10 the usual price.
I complained of course, said it was unreasonable and way too expensive, offered to pay 50%. I don’t like confrontations, and I wish I had held my ground and called 999, but I was also afraid what they might do if I did because he was watching me constantly following me around inside my house.
For 20mins I tried to negotiate and felt intimidated because he refused to leave my home (he had now come into my office room), furthermore, there was another man in his car waiting the whole time, who had threatened our neighbour, a 90yo man who ask them to move their car because it was blocking his driveway; that man’s family has since reported that incident to the police.
In the end, because they refused to leave, I was extorted & forced to pay using a bank transfer, and he was taking pictures of me while I was doing it.
Their names and company info are probably fake, Jim or Adam, UK Top Notch Services.
Avoid the following:
Men that arrive in a white BMW (3 or 4 series)

Don’t call the number on the website locallocksmiths24.co.uk or similar sites.
Look for a MLA approved locksmith and be sure to read reviews, even when it’s an emergency.
They pay to promote these scam websites and there are many, so they come top of google searches!
If you’re being scammed call the police, I wish I did, dial and keep phone in pocket or out of their sight, stall them until the police arrive.
I hope the police investigate, there must be a load of crime reports on these scammers.

I also been scammed by this company but thankfully I paid on credit card which I just put a disput on also contacting trade standards to report this company

Locked out, simple Yale lock and quoted £45….charged £240

I was told I would need new gearbox for mechanism and quoted £375 plus VAT. They would not give me a written quote. I rang a company local to me who came out and fixed it, it was just an alignment issue, no need for replacement parts which actually would have only cost £136 plus VAT had the other company needed to this. Please beware of this company.

Romanian thiefs, they charge 3 x than the asking/agreed price via telephone.
They blocked me after telling me to go to hell.

This is a scam.

They’ll quote £49 for a simple open then arrive and say the lock can’t be picked and needs to be drilled and charge anything up to £500.

Avoid. Scam artists.

SCAM ARTISTS! Our front door mechanism was stuck and wouldn’t open and so I called this company to come out. Was charged £49 to be told it was broken and to get it to open they would need to drill in various points through the front door and then would need a new mechanism. Was told as an estimate that to do that would cost at least £700 on top
of the £49 and would be left with a damaged door. Went elsewhere, managed to get in through the door in under an hour without drilling and cost under £200 incl new parts. Told the other locksmith about Local Locksmith 24-7 saying that the door would have to be drilled and he laughed, saying he’d never had to drill through a door in the 20+ years he had been doing the job. AVOID THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!

Definitely avoid. one of their locksmiths came round and tried to quote me £500 for two new locks. When i said no i wasnt paying that, he came down to £300 (still extortionate) i told him no, to which he told me to f off and picked up his bag and went away. I then got another locksmith out who did entire job for £150.

Forgot my keys at work and didn’t realise till I got home. Me being lazy I called a locksmith and the guy on the phone quoted £49 if it’s a simple job. The locksmith turns up and before he even attempts to open the door he says it’s a £50 call out fee, and £100 to open the door + VAT. I called back the helpline and the same guy picked up (I could tell by his lack of customer service it was the same guy) and he tried to pretend like it wasn’t him and refused to speak to me. I was so frustrated at this point that I agreed to £110 total and nothing more, no VAT. Locksmith agreed! Locksmith pretends to attempt to open the door.. and then tries to throw some technical lingo at me as if I understand the how locks work.. so I said to my dad who was there that it would cost cheaper to get a cab and go to work and pick up my keys and get a cab back than paying this guy… and then all of a sudden the door pops open. The reason I knew this was a simple job was because 5 months ago I locked myself out and I got a locksmith over and it took him 5 seconds to open the door, just put some thin piece of card down the side and door popped open and charged me £89. Avoid this company!!! They are a bunch of SCAMMERS!

The problem with being locked out of your home is that you don't check Trustpilot before you call a locksmith. Because if my wife had, she would have never employed this company.

After driving me to the emergency room at St. George's hospital, my wife and son found they were locked out of our home.

With me being out of contact, she used GOOGLE to find an emergency locksmith and came across this company. She called them and a fitter turned up and quoted her £335 inc. vat. to gain entry but hey, your locked out so just pay it and move on.

and he offered to replace the ERA night latch lock. As we had been burgled 18 months ago, my wife agreed without being told the costs. When the lock was fitted, he then charged £1,464 inc. vat. That's £1,129 to replace a lock that can be bought for £65 plus vat and fitted in 15 mins. No mention of the cost until the works were finished.
We only discovered that another company, UK Top Notch Services Ltd carried out the work on my return from hospital. If you go on the Companies House website, you can see the only Director and owner is Mr Ionut Gabriel Moisi.

This company is preying on the weak, scared and vulnerable customers in society and charging exorbitant amounts when more reputable companies wouldn't.

I have called them several times, and they have offered a refund, but nowhere near enough so I'll be carrying out a dispute claim with American Express (luckily my wife used her credit card), calling Trading Standards as others have, but also calling the Metropolitan Police who they name check on their website.

I didn’t read the reviews for this company before calling them. I was stuck and need locksmith and they quoted me £45 and charged me £150 and then not answering the phone. They making fool and taking advantage.

Avoid avoid, they took advantage of our neighbour while we were away. She felt threatened and ended up paying them £1071 from her own money - she just wanted to get out of a vulnerable situation. The amount charged was for entry and entire new lock. We have returned to find he only replaced the barrel, very badly. Absolutely disgusting. We’re fighting to get our money back and will take it further than that. We all need to report them, so that they can no longer trade. Don’t go anywhere near them. Thanks to those who have already given good information about them, we are using this.

Completely unethical company using Google ads to get on top of the search.
They prey on people locked out to extort a thousand pound from them. They will tell you your door is a fire escape door and quote outrageous prices, and tell you they need to drill your security lock (security locks have anti drill protection, so that's a complete lie) and replace the lock with a very expensive one (that you can find for a bargain).
Avoid. At all cost.

Awful company, quoted us £90 and then proceeded to charge £300, and screamed at us when we couldn’t afford it.Had to pay and now can’t afford a food shop this week. Horrific. Stay miles clear
