Avoid this company.

I purchased items with this company. They then contacted me to advise they didn’t have the items in stock. They cancelled the order. I’m now struggling to get my refund.

Clearly selling stuff they haven't got in stock , I placed a order for 2 keypad locks and said its in stock after placing the order rings me up we haven't got it in stock , we are canceling your order

Update: Since posting this review, a director from Lock Shop Direct contacted me personally, reviewed the full correspondence and resolved the matter properly. The outstanding refund was paid and my £5.50 return postage was also reimbursed. I appreciated the way the issue was handled once it was escalated, and I’ve updated my rating to reflect that.

I placed an order for a handle but realised almost immediately that I had ordered the wrong one. I first replied to the confirmation email, which went to a no-reply address, but two minutes later I sent the cancellation request to the correct returns email address. Despite that, the item was dispatched the following day.

I had also paid for next working day delivery, but the item was dispatched on a Thursday and did not arrive until the Monday.

The return process was then unnecessarily slow. I had to email and call several times before receiving the returns paperwork, and I also had to pay £5.50 to send the item back.

The item itself was refunded, but initially only £13.74 of the £21.54 total payment was returned, with the £7.80 delivery charge left out.

To be fair, staff on the phone were polite, and once the issue reached a director it was handled very well and fully resolved.

My original experience with the cancellation and return process was frustrating, but the company ultimately put things right and dealt with the complaint professionally.

Placed an order and received the next day as promised.

Discounted prices and extremely happy with the service. Saved me £100s on quoted services from local locksmiths.
