We had a great experience at Lowdhams Leisureworld from start to finish. On our first visit we met Chris who happily spent a good 45 minutes showing us various Motorhome options. We went away to mull things over and never felt pressure to make quick decisions. Ultimately, we chose a pre-loved van as newcomers to the motorhoming world. Chris even came in to work during his Xmas break to allow us to view the vehicle. Having just picked it up and stayed over at the rally site for 3 nights, we are more than happy with our van choice and the service we received. Over and above the call of duty from start to finish.

This new caravan is our 5th from Lowdhams, and as on all previous occasions, the patience, courtesy and attention to detail from all the staff who assisted us in the change was outstanding. Bryan, who had the main role in our purchase was friendly, professional and always able to provide useful advice and we were very reassured by the level of care he showed. Our thanks too go to Mark whose assistance and advice were so valuable in sorting out the best way to arrange the financial aspects of the process. Nothing is too much trouble for him and we greatly appreciate all his help in many respects. Handover of the caravan was exemplary too. Sue covered every aspect in full detail and was always happy and able to answer any question. We left feeling that we could confidently and enjoyably use our caravan, having had such an excellent handover experience. We look forward to using the new caravan, with our enjoyment having been added to by the efforts of Bryan, Mark and Sue - all of you a credit to Lowdhams. Many thanks to all.

Lowdhams' say they strive to provide excellent customer service...
In our experience this has not been the case at all after purchase.
We purchased a brand new £70k campervan in March 2025. In June 2025 we reported, via a formal complaint, that Ford Vertu advised us of their concerns that the after-market heater could potentially present a fire risk. Other matters of concern, relating to faults and missing parts, were formalised. Some of these had already been raised on collection of the vehicle and yet, 3 months later, they were still outstanding.
Lowdhams Complaints Policy sets out how it will deal with complaints. In our experience none of the timescales were met and, 11 months later, we have never been provided with findings into our complaints, nor a conclusion, contrary to the policy. In our opinion, this does not represent excellent service.
Lowdhams have not shared with us details of any investigations they may have carried out into Ford’s claim that the heater was a potential fire risk, despite advising us, in writing, that they would be raising the matter with Swift. The van did not require inspection to resolve this potential safety issue as we offered Lowdhams the technician's report and video footage supplied to us by Ford in relation to this concern
Lowdhams did not confirm to us that the van was safe to use as a camper, nor could they provide a loan vehicle, so we had to hire vans for 2 months to meet my disabled son's needs. This cost us c.£10k. A jointly instructed independent expert concluded, 3 months later, that the heater was not a fire risk. In our opinion this does not represent excellent service as this situation has resulted in significant financial loss and considerable stress at a time when we were trying to support our son’s disability needs.
The jointly instructed independent expert also concluded the vehicle had “numerous issues… which should never have got through factory quality control or the dealer’s pre-delivery inspection” and that it “was not of satisfactory quality at the point of purchase/delivery.”
Almost a year later, the vehicle remains unused on our drive. The jointly instructed independent expert described that there are “vibration and panel noises [in the habituation area] which in my professional opinion are totally unacceptable.” As a result we have been unable to use it since June 2025, and the matter is still unresolved.
Faults and missing items identified at collection were acknowledged and we were told they would be resolved quickly. They all remain outstanding. Lowdhams described some of these as minor so we cannot understand why they did not arrange to collect the vehicle, as they had agreed in writing, to remedy them. To us this does not feel like excellent customer service.
We submitted a formal complaint and have made repeated efforts to resolve matters. Although our complaint was acknowledged, we have never received an outcome, contrary to Lowdhams policy. Communication throughout has, in our view, been inconsistent and disappointing, although Hannah was helpful.
We purchased this vehicle in good faith, expecting it to be of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. Based on our experience to date, we feel that our expectations, which we base on our understanding of the Consumer Rights Act (2015), have not been met.
The situation has caused significant financial loss and been more stressful to us than the problem we were trying to support – our son’s disability.
This matter remains in dispute and we are saving up money to afford legal action as we have already spent £80k and have been advised that Lowdhams’ preferred route to resolve the matter is via legal process.
Citizens Advice advised that the matter met the criteria for referral to Trading Standards and made a referral.
Based on our experience, we would not recommend Lowdhams.
This review reflects our personal experience of an ongoing dispute.

I bought a Bailey Alicanti Grande Evora at the NEC exibition in April 2023. this was a very expensive caravan for us to purchase., but with it being a top of the range casravan and their statement in their manual stating they will look after our investment,we went ahead with the purchase.the first years service went through without any problem,
we decided in july 2025 to sell the caravan for health reasons. we obtained a price we agreed on from a reputable dealer,subject to inspection.
to our supprise and horror,when it was inspected,they said they wouldnt be able to buy the caravan,
we got in touch with Lowdams who we bought the caravan off,and was advised that they would pick caravan up,take it back to Lowdams and inspect it,and if they agreed it was a warranty issue they would put a claim in to Baileys this was 19th August 2025,all fine up to now.
i E mailed Lowdhams in Septemder,and October 2025 without any reply.In late November i received a phone call from Gemma a Lowdhams Service stating that,Baileys have agreed it is a warranty issue and Lowdhams have ordered parts,Gemma told me it was a 30 hour job to complet warranty work,she also stated she was leaving Lowdhams that same day.they at this stage have had my caravan for 3 months.
I didnt hear anything more until late January 2026 after a letter i sent enquiring about progress as i was now getting worried and streesed about the situation, he told me they had now all the parts from Baileys to conplete the warranty work,i though great,then to my astonishment he stated it is sheduled to be completed in May 2026 they will have hsd the caravan 9 months at this stage,which is totally unacepable.
this caravan will have lost money due to depresation over this 9 m0nth period,through no fault of ours.
the guy at Lowdhams said he had 2 service personell leave Lowdhams, not my problem,seems they cant keep their staff for some reason.
i did ask as a goodwill gesture if they could purchase the caravan off me when repaired,he said they wasnt taking any stock in at present.but they may be able to get a dealer to buy it,but he told me i wouldnt get a good price probabily lose around £5K,which in my opinion is completly down to Lowdhams incompitance

Take note of comments on service department before you buy.
We bought a dealer special motorhome for its "extras" despite living 110 miles away. Sales were excellent but whilst they recently seem to be trying to improve the aftercare it is extremely poor.
We waited weeks to get a water tank retrofit and gas sensor replacement. (the water tank was grounding on speed bumps!)
Booked before Christmas for a 1 day job. They ran out of time and only did the water tank despite committing to doing both jobs in the day. Returned again yesterday for the gas sensor replacement. Van delivered at 9am, waited until 3:30pm to find out they had apparently received the wrong part (a grill burner) which they had fitted anyway! Unbelievable - no one checked the part back in December or before they started yesterday.
So, will have to do another 220mile round trip and lost day all at my expense.

From first enquiry with my large wish list, to collecting our ideal motorhome I have received a 5-star service. We were 195 miles away, but Kevin sent a detailed video of the motorhome that met our requirements, was very quick in his response to answer our questions and facilitated our visit to view when we were ready. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the service. Our collection handover was detailed and thorough and our new motorhome has not disappointed, we are delighted. We had a wonderful experience at Lowdhams, at the caravan and camping show at the NEC. Both Swift and Lowdhams (Mark) were amazing and despite them not being our closest dealer, we decided to buy a caravan from them. Our children were with us and being boys, they are just chaotic! But they were so patient with them and friendly. Collecting the caravan was great. We stayed on the pitch for a night and the staff were helpful; coming over to our caravan to show us various things and to assist us if there was an issue. However, this is where the positive review comes to an end.
The after care team is shocking. There was a issue with the caravan in which a claim needed to be put through to swift. The damage to the fibreglass was there upon purchase. Cut a long story short, we didn't use the caravan all summer, as we were waiting on a date to bring it in. We had to chase and chase...call and call...were passed around more times that you can count. So many different people emailed us. We were sad as it was really important to use the caravan last summer as our eldest is getting older and we wanted to make memories. There is obviously no communication between staff...nobody really knows what they are doing. We've tried to get jack points installed by them and they couldn't tell us the product. We wanted air conditioning fitted, well, nearly a year after purchasing the caravan, that hasn't happened. After much chasing, re explaining, the caravan was finally booked in for fibreglass pitting repair in October (so a total wasted summer) and we were finally able to use the caravan October half term for the first time. A second claim was also submitted in the summer as the roof panel has warped in the heat. Lowdams were arranging with swift to inspect the caravan. At the same time bringing it down, we were going to have air conditioning fitted. Well it is now 2026, 6 months on and we haven't heard anything. Today I have called up, quite annoyed and apparently swift did respond but didn't accept the warranty claim. Well how come nobody contacted us to let us know? 6 months and nobody has thought to follow it up with us? We refrained from contacting Lowdhams ourselves as the last claim took ages so we thought it is just how it works...
We went with Lowdhams 2.5 hours away from us, despite having a swift dealer 20 minutes from our home. We did this because they stood out as being exceptionally good. But the entire after sales team at Lowdhams has some serious issues. Communication is shocking...staff aren't armed with enough knowledge on products or technical specifications. A member of staff should be assigned a customer case and see it through to the end. Emails and communication are obviously getting lost, and there also aren't enough members of staff that care enough. For example, this morning, the lady put me on hold, and never came back to me!
I would urge anyone to please think twice before purchasing from them unless you are happy with no after sales support. From this point on we are going to have to liase with Swift ourselves and hopefully communication will be better. It will also be a good opportunity to provide feedback on this supplier. It is such ashame because we are easy going people and the Lowdhams set up, in theory is wonderful. But we bought a 30 grand caravan outright and we should not have had to spend the entire time since purchase emailing and calling, repeating ourselves to and worrying everyday. We dont expect a buisness to be perfect, we understand it is difficult; but this experience shouldn't have been as bad as this.

Kevin has been very helpful during our search over the last few months in selecting our first Motor-home, advising us on pros and cons on some of our options with quick responses to our questions. The handover was very comprehensive and at a pace that we could take in the information. Everyone we met at Lowdhams were polite and professional. During each visit to the dealership there was no pressuring sales people jumping on you at every corner, just a leisurely viewing experience with sales people available if you required help. We would highly recommend lowdhams to anyone who is looking to start a new journey in a Motorhome.

Making a decision to change a VW camper van to a larger van was a hard decision and we did not know where to start. We had visited three other camper/motorhome suppliers but were not impressed with the service. So Lowdhams was 4th on the list and Nathan was the first member of staff who showed us around. We were shown the options we had seen on the website without any pressure. Left to have a look at what was on offer, go back and forth to the different vans without time pressures. He gave us great advice, based on what our needs were and was incredibly helpful. He took photos of our van so he could get us a price from buyers. The next visit allowed us to complete our decision and via phone calls/ emails we were able to request additions and prices. We were fully informed all the way through the process of the purchase. Thorough demonstrations on the handover day. Although we are too busy at the moment to take up the offer, we will go back and have an over night stay at Lowdhams so we can try everything out. This is definitely a must as it will build confidence before we go further afield. A very attentive supportive service. Thank you!

Lowdhams couldn't do enough for us, even after a disappointment, which was nothing to do with Lowdhams, Kevin was absolutely brilliant, and went above and beyond , from start to finish.
All the staff were so helpful and friendly, from sales, the handover (thank you Paul!) the shop, and the cafe.
Fantastic dealership, cannot recommend highly enough.

The buying process for our caravan was excellent and, on that experience alone, I would have given 5 stars. However, shortly after collection we noticed an issue and reported it. We were told someone from the service team would be in contact, but despite chasing again, we have still heard nothing. We were warned by several people that this company is great at sales but very poor with aftersales and service. Unfortunately that is exactly what we are experiencing.
