Myself and my 4 children have been attending the Portadown branch for many years. The eye tests by Elaine are carried out professionally and thoroughly. Ciara and Rachel are two lovely people who really take the time to help you choose what glasses suit and don't mind that if the kids want to try them all 😂

I've been a client for many years at the Portadown branch and have always had the best experience.

The wonderful ladies were so helpful and super friendly. They took time and helped me pick some nice new frames (I'm very indecisive) suggesting different pairs that would suit me, making the experience very enjoyable.

Overall, 5/5 experience!

Have been using this amazing opticians from summer 2024, my daughter and son are both clients, the staff are warm and welcoming, very proficient, thorough and helpful with any questions we have, we are always treated with the upmost courtesy and respect, all the staff at the Belfast city centre branch are just fab, especially Jenny, Rachel and Andrew!

I cannot recommend Mackey Opticians Bangor enough after my recent experience with retinal detachment.
I had been seeing a flashing light in my right eye for a couple of weeks but put it down to a visual migraine. I happened to call in to the Bangor branch one afternoon to discuss my concerns and from that one conversation I was registered, seen by an optometrist, a retinal tear confirmed, urgent referral to eye casualty and underwent surgery all within a week!
I want to highlight the importance of having your eye health monitored by an optometrist regularly, even if your vision is 20/20. I had laser eye surgery in 2013 but had no idea I was at risk because I would just disregard my appointment reminders. These routine appointments could quite literally save your sight, as they can detect various issues with the eye and brain early so please don't dismiss them like I did.
A big, massive thank you to Aaron and the Bangor team - I will be forever grateful for your compassion, expertise and timely treatment.

Staff very welcoming especially Rachel and Aaron who sorted me out with great ease and comfort. I would highly recommend anyone that needs an optician to give them a go they are very reassuring and willing to help in anyway possible.

I have to say Rachel Elaine and Keira are a credit to your team they all go out of their way to find what’s best for my family (4 members attend) nothing is a bother to any of them. My last visit (for my son) Rachel went above and beyond to get him fitted with new glasses and sun glasses with him entering teenage years he required bigger frames, she took her time choosing these and explained to him about his lenses (as they need thinned down due to his prescription ) and anti glare etc we went today today to collect and he was delighted with both pairs.

If I could leave multiple 5* reviews I would.
I lost sight in my left eye out of no where and the hospital booked me an emergency appointment here. Richard was absolutely fantastic and I don't think I would have the answers I needed without his help. The team went above and beyond for me and I really can't recommend them enough. With his expertise, the hospital was able to figure out what was wrong. Again if you're in need of anything from frames to eye exams I wouldn't go anywhere else.

We’ve been clients of Andrew for almost 15 years now, and the staff at Mackey Church Lane complement his skills perfectly. Rachel was fab ensuring the fit was perfect , the prescriptions were correct and we had everything we needed. High recommended.

We visited the Portadown branch today and was helped by the lovely Racheal Elaine and Ciara. They couldn’t have been more helpful and gave excellent advice on the lens and the difference in all the focal lenses available. They were so friendly!!!

My recent visit was great.the girls were very helpful and professional.feel reassured about my eyes and glasses.will definitely be a returning customer.

Orla was very friendly and professional in examination and took time to answer all questions.
Shelia and Rachel were other staff available and both were again friendly and very helpful throughout.
All staff were very knowledgeable and explored a range of options to suit your finances without making you feel uncomfortable or pressured.

I had to go in to get a new prescription and glasses after my last pair broke. Rachel, Aava and Elaine were super friendly and helpful in getting me a prescription and making sure I picked out the glasses that suited me best.

Called in today due to lens popping out of my frame. Rachel was very friendly and helpful, she fixed the issue without even having the original screw! Definitely will be back, great service :)

Big thanks for the amazing customer service from sharon and Sorcha, they helped my mum through every stage! From thorough eye test, the amazing selection of specs, they guided choices to really find the frames that worked best! The customer service was top notch and got the glasses so quickly. The glasses are perfect and stylish! Massively appreciated!

Return customer to the Portadown store, got my sight test done with Aaron and a thorough check &history due to my chronic illness. Lovely gent and extremely helpful. Rachel then helped me pick two new frames (glasses and sunglasses) and recommended types of lenses best for me. Can’t thank the full team enough, very good when I returned a few days after collecting frames to get them tightened also!

I had an excellent experience with this local business which provided a personalised service unlike many other brands. In particular Debbie was immensely helpful and open to resolving any queries which I had.

I called in this afternoon to get my glasses tightened.
Rachel (the manager)dealt with me and got the glasses sorted in a very professional way.
I am not ready for a new set of glasses just yet, but when I am I will have no hesitation in coming to see Rachel in the Portadown branch. She is an asset to your company.
