Excellent service from very friendly staff

I was having headaches and struggling with focusing. I spoke to Rachel who recommended I have an eye exam. Rachel booked me in and I saw an optician called Anna who referred me to my GP and told me I needed to get glasses to wear driving at night or when my eyes were tired. Rachel got me sorted with a new pair of glasses that have a blue light filter and a pair of sunglasses that have my new prescription in them. Since wearing my new glasses my headaches have really improved and I have been seen by my GP. I would recommend Mackey Opticians to anyone - brilliant service from both girls! Thank you so much.

Everytime make an appointment the girls who work in the Glen road optician's can't do enough for myself plus other members of my family. Have been attending the same opticians for many year's and can't thank them enough always sort any problems with my glasses.

Took my mum for her sight test which was performed by Aaron who was extremely patient and explained everything thoroughly. He then helped my mum up the steps (who had broken her hip at Christmas) to make sure she was she got up ok and then Chloe was very good at picking frames for mum. The great experience was then rounded off with picking her glasses up with James who as always is a real gentleman and always smiling. This review is for Holywood Arches branch.

From the moment I stepped through the door I felt valued and looked after. Roseanne spent time helping me choose the perfect frames - I think I tried nearly every frame in the store! The optometrist was very thorough, explained each step of the process and answered all my questions.
I went with the buy one get one ½ price deal for two pairs of varifocals. They're top quality and didn't break my budget. I've definitely become a loyal customer on Mackey Opticians on Woodstock Road.

I have been with Mackey's Cookstown for 20 years & I have to say they are just amazing! Geraldine, Michelle, Nicola & Therese are very welcoming & very professional!

I made an appointment with Mackeys and was very fortunate that Rita was there. She made the appointment at a time convenient to myself and then on the day of the appointment I got a friendly telephone reminder again from Rita. I attended the appointment and was made very comfortable as I awaited to see the Optician. The Optician was not a local person but was easily understood and was very professional. He was very thorough and told me that the sight in one of my eyes had deteriorated since my last review. At the end of my check up I was again handed over to Rita who went through a number of options and prices in helping me choose new eyewear. I have been attending this Opticians from I was younger and Rita always appears to have been there. She is very professional and always demonstrates a can do attitude. Mackeys on the Glen Road in Belfast will always be my first choice for Opthalmic Services.

My wife and i have been going to Mackey opticians Glen road branch for nearly 20 years. i recently got new glasses for driving, great friendly service from Rita, Orla & Sheila very professional and great help in choosing new frames, would definitely recommend.

East Belfast location - staff Aaron and Amy were first class. Gave my elderly mum an eye test and explained everything to her clearly and Amy was brilliant in helping pick her new frames.
Customer Service was 5 star.

Both my husband and I have been looking to replace our glasses for a while. I booked us both an appointment to get our eyes tested at Ma keys Ormeau road branch.
On arrival we were welcomed by a women called Sharon.
Sharon was fantastic advising us on what type of glasses suited our face shape.
We then had our eye test and Sorcha was excellent, explained everything she was doing and was very polite and made us feel at ease.
We have now collected our glasses and the car moments we are getting from people is amazing.
So I just wanted to again pay a big thank you to Sharon and Sorcha, what an amazing team you have.
I have told everyone about the amazing, friendly and expert advise we received.

Called into Church Lane branch last week to get a pair of non prescription sunglasses. Staff were very helpful. Spoke with Rachel who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable.
Gave me the opportunity and time to try on as many different styles of glasses as I wished until I got the right pair.
Also got a second pair on offer , completely different design so have alternative
Would strongly recommend calling in

Sunglasses Mackey’s Church Lane Belfast
I wanted a pair of quality sunglasses for driving and was impressed with the huge range in store.
The shop had literally hundreds of glasses.
The selection was very wide from modern sports brands to well known classics.
Rachel was very friendly and attentive and had selected around a dozen examples that she thought suited the shape of my face.
Rachel took the time to adjust each set and we quickly narrowed it down to a pair of aviators or Oakleys.
Rachel then even took the time and adjusted my reading glasses that I had sat on !
Rachel's knowledge of sunglasses was impressive going into the fine grain detail of the lens technology and the benefits of a polarised lens.
Excellent customer service with very friendly attentive staff. Highly recommended.

This is my third time using this optician and I wouldn’t go anywhere else, the staff are so friendly and very helpful Sorcha the optician was so nice and gave me advice on an eye condition I have and how best to treat it and Sharon the receptionist helped me chose the right frames for my face. Both really know their stuff and I’d recommend them to anyone they also have a good selection of frames to choose from to suit all budgets. Thanks so much guys I look forward to receiving my new glasses soon.

Absolutely fantastic service, would thoroughly recommend, this opticians. Both members of staff were extremely knowledgeable and professional.
Sorcha provided a 1st class eye test, very patient , and went above and beyond to make me feel very at ease and relaxed .

Recently visited the church lane branch for pain in the eye. Rachel D got us seen same day, and Richard Mackey took the appointment. Couldn't be happier with the service, staff are incredible. Highly recommend.

Have been a regular for quite a while always found staff very pleasant and helpful.
