I have been attending Mackeys in Cookstown for around 20 years now and Geraldine is absolutely amazing at her job! I was in today and Nicola was working and the 2 girls together are just amazing! We have always had amazing experiences in Mackeys, always seeing Geraldine for my tests but all of the lovely ladies on reception, Nicola and Therese to name two of the most longstanding members of staff, are just amazing at their jobs. Honest opinions on frames, their expertise is second to none and Geraldine, as I said, is just one in a million. Their prices for frames are fantastic and speed of service and delivery just amazing! I travel 40miles from home to attend Mackeys even though there are opticians closer to home just because of their first class service. Highly recommended always ❤️

Myself & my family have been patients of Mackeys Cookstown practice for 20 years, the staff are friendly & professional and always familiar faces when you arrive in, they greet you by your name. Both Geraldine & Michelle are very thorough in giving eye exams, especially with two of my children who wear glasses full time. Nicola & Therese make sure the right frames are chosen.
Overall I’m very happy with the service that Mackeys in Cookstown provide.

I recently had the pleasure of working with Jenny Beattie at both the Church Lane, Belfast, and Holywood practices to choose my new glasses. Jenny was incredibly patient and dedicated, helping me find frames that were the perfect size for my prescription and suited my face shape. Her knowledge and expertise were evident, as she took the time to explain my eye test results. Jenny was pleasant, attentive, and never made me feel rushed or as if I was a bother. I highly recommend her to anyone seeking exceptional service and a personal touch when choosing eyewear.

Just had a great experience in Mackeys Cookstown practice. Geraldine did a very comprehensive eye examination. Nicola was great at advising me on frame choice- the range of frames is excellent. What a welcoming and friendly practice to attend.

Rachel here is such a delight to deal with.
I had sore heads for weeks, went in, was promptly diagnosed with astigmatism had my glasses sorted out promptly.
After wearing glasses have been headache free for 2 days.

Omg what a team they have at Mackey, Ormeau road!!! AMAZING. After moving from what I believed to be the best in America…I stand corrected..the one on one personal relationships they establish, professionalism, and off the charts knowledge!!! Thanku for making my experience from moving from one country to another so seamless…Im yours for life….

We entered the shop to see about my broken glasses. Sharon greeted us with a great smile and helped us, gladly Sorcha and Sharon fixed them.

Took my daughter for an eye test here recently and was shocked at the variety of glasses they had for kids much more than other opticians! Staff were so friendly and helpful and made her feel at ease her new glasses came really quickly too so didn’t have to wait long, will be coming here from now on, highly recommend!

I recently had my eyes tested at the Newtownards Rd Branch after a recommendation by a friend and I was not disappointed. Upon my arrival
I was greeted by Amy-Leigh who instantly made me feel at ease knowing I was new to the shop. Amy-Leigh explained what would be happening and that Gerry was the optometrist who would be testing my eyes. Gerry was very informative and explained throughout what he was doing and why which was great as he knew I was a bit nervous. After having my eyesight tests done he took me back to Amy-Leigh who help me choose 2 pairs of glasses. She showed me around the shop which I might add is lovely and bright and very spacious which means you actually have room to view the vast array on display. Amy-Leigh knew my budget and what I liked. Her knowledge of the glasses and my prescription meant she knew what to offer me. After a few dilemmas and James help I finally picked. I would highly recommend Mackeys Newtownards Road Branch you will not be disappointed. James, Gerry and Amy-Leigh were very patient, helpful and extremely knowledgeable in their fields. 5⭐️

I recently had my eyes tested in Mackey's opticians in the Haypark Avenue branch. The service I received was exceptional. Sorcha tested my eyesight. She explained everything before proceeding and made sure that I understood every step of the process. Sharon greeted me on my arrival, she is very friendly and welcoming and helped me to pick out my glasses. I felt valued as a customer by Sharon and Sorcha. They made me feel at ease and reassured me throughout. Thank you Sorcha and Sharon for making my experience so positive. I will be a regular customer.

Stay away from the Portadown branch if you value your eyesight. My wife contacted them last Thursday 8th August morning for an emergency appointment as she had a sore eye. She explained that her eye was very blurry and very sore, at first she was told it was 2 weeks before she could get an appointment, when she pushed the receptionist she got an appointment for Monday 12th. Her eye got worse over the next days and on Saturday at 2pm we went into branch to see if we could be seen, as she now had no vision in her eye. Dispite they fact there was no one in the shop and that my wife told the girl that she had no vision and was in a lot of pain, she was still refused an appointment. Indeed she was told by the receptionist, sure go across the road to Specsavers maybe they will see you. Great customer service! My wife did go to Specsavers, who despite begin very busy (notice the diffence in both shops) said they would get her an emergency appointment, as the receptionist could see there was an issue with my wife's eye. My wife ended up having to attend RVH eye casualty as she had an a serious virus in her eye. At the time of writing this my wife still has no vision in her eye and is having to apply eye drops every hour in the hope this clears up and she gets her sight back in her eye.
Both Specsavers and RVH have been very critical of the way Mackey Eyecaredealt with my wife. (might need to change the last part of your name). Will never trouble your company again as when it comes to dealing with my eyes are I prefer to deal with a reputable company.

Had a hearing assessment for hearing aids today with Jaqueline McPolin at the Bangor branch . I have to say this is the most professional and comprehensive assessment I’ve ever had for my hearing . The detail and understanding of my hearing problem from her was nothing short of superb. No fancy sales talk , or pressure to purchase, just a very professional presentation of my situation and the steps to be taken to improve my hearing .
Thank you very much Jaqueline , you are the best audiologist practitioner I’ve ever met.
