Customer service never calls you back. When I called back I was told you get out on a call back list. Five days later and no call.
I thought buying a product made in the USA would be a positive experience but it has not been.

We purchased the trinity fireplace even after the 2.9 review rates. We fully expected to a 50/50 chance of returning.

The process of putting it together was the first thing we were concerned about, as well as the quality. We were pleased with the quality of the product! Mantle went together effortlessly. It took 2 Hours to get it completed and up and running. The logs seem too high, and we would have liked to have them set lower, but regardless after installing the glass, carefully, we love it!

I am trying to self teach and figure out the remote. We cannot get it to work…at all. We use our iPhone and iPad to control the flames. I believe we will need to get support on controlling the logs, as we have to manually use the buttons on the side of the logs to get it to work. That is frustrating, hopefully we will get it figured out. Trying to find a way to get the fish tank video, but can’t find a reliable way to get it on the site.

I have to say, my sister bought a similar brand fireplace and paid over $13K. The only thing I see differently is she can play music on hers. No biggie.

I would NEVER recommend a MagikFlame Holographic Insert Fireplace to anyone. I bought it based on their online sales video which looks fantastic and real. The reality is not even close. Mine looks like an orange blob shining in the wall. I will not get into the many phone calls, texts and emails to the (lack of) customer support. Nor how the owner does not stand behind what he has written in the manual about his product. Instead I will write about something found in the manual ONLY after it was purchased and delivered. Page 19 in the manual. Additional Trouble Shooting section. #4. "The flames do not appear to be coming from the logs or they are floating", Solution 2- "best viewed from a seated position 8-10 feet away, looking directly into the unit eye level." and Solution 3- "Unit is NOT meant to be viewed from standing above it looking down on it. Refer to #2."
#5." There is a reflection in the glass of a window or overhead light", Solution 3- "the MagikFlame works best in dimly lit rooms away from bright lights and windows." Solution 4-" there will be minimal reflections when viewed from a proper seated position in front of the unit." That is not a joke. That is how you are expected to look at this fireplace as per the MagikFlame company. If you walk around your room then the fireplace will look like the orange flames are leaning to the right. Or, if you pass in front of the fireplace you can see the 3 different elements (that make the "realistic" flame) separately. The fake logs in the front. The scary thin, sharp, fragile, exposed, tilted glass that reflects the image. And the video of the fire playing in the back. They only meld together to form a unified picture when you are 8-10 feet away and in a seated position. Had that information been provided in the sales video I definitely would not have made the purchase. There are too many things, that I found out AFTER I got the fireplace, to mention. But calling customer support was useless. Based on the "A Word From Our Founder" section ( in the manual) owner Howard Birnbaum states,"However, I do realize the MagikFlame is not for everyone. If the MagikFlame is not an ideal fit for your home give me a call and I'll take it back." His Office and Personal Cell numbers are listed on the bottom of the page below his signature. I called and texted both numbers several times and got absolutely NO response. I spent months researching holographic fireplaces and in particular Magikflame. And I still got taken to the bank. My advice based on this experience. Buy from a local store where you can see the product in person. Also, you are dealing with people that you can actually talk to in person if there is a problem. I am going to take my own advice as I am currently shopping for a replacement for this extreme disappointment.

I’d first like to start out with this is overpriced, but it appeared to look amazing… but The bottom line is it doesn’t always show the flames. It’s very hard to get to the flames to show and they mostly look aoooo fake very fake one or two maybe three look semi ok. These people made it so impossible to return it that we couldn’t return it and then they stopped returning our calls… Gretchen and then the owner whatever his name was John or something anyways this was not worth it. Do not waste your money. please save your time and money. They will never let you return it.!!!!! they make it impossible in a way that you have to use every single bit of the return packaging and that’s impossible tape and everything. They literally are crooked. We have to unplug it plug it back in hope to find the way to turn it on. It’s impossible. It’s not just like flicker switch. It is a crapshoot. It never works or it works randomly… And again company wasn’t much help. The second the owner thought we wanted to return it. He stopped answering our calls then he pushed it off on Gretchen. She was trying, but this fire place has design flaws!!!!! Save your money.!!!!

Very happy with our fireplace. Installation was not difficult. Shipping was faster than expected.

The website was helpful in providing information as to choosing the product. Delivery was timely. Installation was complicated but just because we weren't used to this kind of thing. But we managed to get installed and working. Now we are trying to find out how to get the promised code after writing a review.

The holographic flame effect is very realistic and looks great in a dark room. Installation and the touchscreen controls were straightforward. One thing that could be improved is the user interface—the included TV/display remote and the upside-down mirrored display menus are confusing at first. Once I spoke with support, I learned this is part of the design. Overall, the flame effect is impressive.

I recently purchased a Magic Flame Fireplace and couldn’t be happier. The fireplace looks beautiful, the flame effect is very realistic, and it adds a warm, cozy atmosphere to my home. The quality is excellent, and the customer service was helpful throughout the process. I highly recommend Magic Flame Fireplace to anyone looking for a stylish and realistic electric fireplace.

The product is simply not as advertised, not even close. The flames look unrealistic with no holographic or 3D effect. It's like watching a flat TV video of flames. It looks the same from every angle and every distance.
The instructions for assembly do not always match the product which is confusing. Returning the item is next to impossible because everything has to be disassembled and repacked into the boxes with the original packing material exactly like it was delivered, which I learned too late.
I have now purchased a different brand fireplace, much less expensive, and it looks and works great. But I wasted thousands on the Magikflame product.

Do not purchase! Does not look anything like the pictures, very expensive for an item that is not as advertised. No customer service or return calls when calling for help or customer service. Extremely disappointed purchase.

Well my experience started out a little rocky. Little lack of comunication But tat got resolved. The tech support is friendly and knowledgeable . There are many flames to choose from ost of them look realistic with the soke and embers floating up from the flames. and then there is the crackling sounds of the fire .I also turn on the nature sounds and if you close your eyes makes you feel like your sitting in front of a campfire. Don’t waist your money on this fireplace .
Flames don’t look anything like the video they show. I have a cheap free standing electric unit that looks more realistic than the magic flame . Everything all the other one star reviews say are true . It is not worth the money. If you read magic flame responses to reviews it’s basically buyer beware. Truly a disappointment .

Magik flame is the best and we love ours.

Very disappointed. The flame looks like the Christmas fireplace app you can put on your TV (two-dimensional), only SMALLER! Nowhere near a realistic appearance. The entire unit with mantel is worth no more than $2,000. Unlike the flame, I got burned on this purchase.

This product has very impressive marketing, but if you look closely, their marketing videos are all shot from a distance and from straight on. We bought one of their mantles for our bedroom. You enter the bedroom and see the mantle and fire-effect from the side. It looked like a television with a fire video was sitting in the mantle.

They are serious sticklers about returns and so, because we had to open the box for the mantle, we were not allowed to return it because it had been opened! (don't know how to assemble something to see if you like it without opening the box it was in.) We decided to keep it but disabled their "magic" effect and use the log set for what is a sub-par fire effect. It does do a good job heating the room.

We decided to return a second insert we bought to go into our living room fireplace. Shipping it back cost around $700 and they insisted on charging a restocking fee of around $600 (mind you, the boxes were unopened. So it cost me about $1300 dollars just to see that it doesn't look realistic.) On top of that, they kept another $300 because the unopened log set was cracked when it arrived at their facility. I had noticed that the box this log set was in had arrived at my home damaged with a big dent in it. So it most likely was damaged by their shipping company when they sent it to me. So now, I'm at ~$1600 dollars spent for absolutely nothing. We ended up finding a really nice fireplace log set that looks much better in our living room fireplace.

To sum it up, we found this company and their product anything but "magical."

I’ve called 3 times. Emailed with pictures and have had no response. I have a $4000 fireplace in my garage with a broken clip and no communication to correct the issue. Extremely frustrated!!!

I am normally skeptical about online buying and did a lot of research on fireplace inserts prior to purchasing the 28" Magik Flame insert. My experience has been outstanding. The product was delivered promptly and in excellent condition. The videos provided added to the ease of setup. The look of the fireplace is very modern and far exceeded my expectations.

Overall, very disappointed; deceptive advertising; overpriced electric fireplace (60" linear)

Would give 1 star b/c it’s not as advertised and way overpriced for what you get but did 2 b/c of quick shipping and quick replacement for bad LCD screen

Positive: quick shipping if in stock; did replace first unit quickly with bad screen (60 linear has 3 screens middle one was flickering). They picked up and replaced bad unit within 5-7 days. LCD screen does seem to have high quality video image. Heater seems to work well, but thermostat may not be calibrated right. The glass does have a nice effect with the side lights. The side lights/glow lights do provide a realistic fire glow on the glass rocks (coals) and wood.

Negative: DOES NOT project realistic fire onto the logs (this is a big deal as they foot-stomp this feature on their website and videos over and over even saying it’s the only electric fireplace that has this feature). It’s just LCD screens with images of fire; each LCD screen displays the same fire image running in a loop at the same time; would be better if each video was on different time points in loop so it’s harder to tell if it’s the same video loop on each screen. There are significant gaps between LCD screens and it’s a significant eyesore; esp in the dark b/c the LCD black background is not true or close to true black, so you see the gaps pop even more. This gap gives it a cheaper feel. The top and bottom lights are cheap looking and do not enhance the look of the fire, I don't even use them b/c they look cheap and don't enhance the fire feel (the red option for bottom light does make the glass rocks/coals look hotter but it would be nice if you could dim them b/c they are too bright; note side lights are good and provide the fire glow but they are in 4 small sets with gaps between them, I would like them to be longer and fill in the gaps more to provide additional glow effect). Wood is small and looks just adequate. They need to be larger, and more pieces should be provided to make them look better. Heater thermostat seems off. My home is set at 65, I must set it to 75/80 for it to turn on even when my house was showing 62 (you can only change thermostat by 5 degrees, would be good if you could change every 1 degree).

Do not go by their measurements in the manual, they are not accurate. Measure the unit yourself before you frame out to your plan.

We had an issue come up with one of the components on our fireplace, and they honored their 1-year warranty. I love when companies stand by their product, and they were helpful in getting our problem resolved. Thank you
