ABSOLUTE SCAM, SCAM, SCAM 💯 % false advertising. Definitely not hand stitched above a book shop in Hay on wye nothing artisan about these bags. Not fast shipping as they are mass produced in China... Toon meer

Unfortunately, I realised after ordering that this is a scam. I have now seen the identical bags advertised on different websites including Maples Stitches, SnugNest, Mega Craft, Madison Elara, Sarah... Toon meer
The bags are useable, and designs attractive but they are of moderate quality and made in China. Nothing like what they purport to be. Worth £10 each. No more.
SCAM- not handmade-mass produced in china. Annoyed that I fell for it. 1 star because it was actually delivered eventually. Also been getting 2-3 scam phone calls a day since this order - hadn’t had a... Toon meer

No stars is not possible! This a blatant and shameful scam. Purchasers should not be ashamed or embarrassed at buying from this, they are victims of a deliberate, wicked fraudulent scam. Stay Away!
No stars is not possible!
The bags are useable
The bags are useable, and designs attractive but they are of moderate quality and made in China. Nothing like what they purport to be.
Worth £10 each. No more.
Total scam
Total scam. Cheap nylon bag from China. On complaining, they offer 30% refund and a sob story about being let down by their production partner. Refuse that and they offer 50% refund. This would still leave me with a cheap bag which cost me £15. They must bank on most people either not complaining,or accepting the refund. I have kept the correspondence in which they admit the bag is not as advertised and shows that they do not honour their promise of “hassle free returns” or “30day money back guarantee” and am getting it investigated through a Visa Chargeback procedure via my bank.
It’s a scam
It’s a scam. Like the other reviews the bag I received was flat - no quilting, no padding, no personal handiwork from “Maple” - it came from China and the whole home-made thing is a complete con. Total waste of money. Frustrated to be taken in.
Total fake
Total fake. Wish I had checked here first. Not quilted, not hand stitched, worth £5 at best
Printed nylon, not padded and stitched. Scam artists
I ordered three bags and the company website claims they are hand stitched and padded. That is a LIE, they are poorly printed on nylon
Misleading advertising, scam company.
I’m still waiting for the bags I ordered on 29-6-26. Claims to be coming from the UK but shipping information states they are coming from China. Wish I’d checked the reviews out before impulse buying on Facebook. Learnt an expensive lesson. Complete scam company. DO NOT USE!!!
Warning Scam
Warning. Do not buy from this site. Maple's Stitches has been computer generated using AI to build a very convincing website. It shows a workshop displaying the handmade embroidered bags with Maple sitting with one of the beautifully designed bags which she has made, packed and sent personally to you.
All this is completely false. A hint is when you zoom in on the sign above the ladies head. "Maples Stitches Hay O15 WTE"
If you have ordered a bag which I did then you will receive a plastic printed cheap version. No hand made stitches in sight and it is a fraud. Very disappointing and a con
It's a SCAM
It's a scam. Fake AI generated images on plastic bags for £30. Not hand stitched. Not a real shop in Hay on Wye. Not a real person. AVOID!!
A horribly clever scam update
I subsequently lodged a disputed transaction with my bank on the basis that the seller did not supply the goods as described. The bank got a refund in full from the company which they have passed on to me.
Apparently being shipped from China. I have not received it yet. The optics are great, in terms of website, plus very convincing replies from "Olivia "at customer service. The whole thing seems to be a very convincing clever scam, no doubt aided by AI. How they are able to continue trading i don't know. I guess with AI there will be more of this sort of thing . Obviously we ll have to go back to buying things we can see and feel in proper shops.
Edit. They have finally arrived and bear no relation to the description on their website site.
This is a scam
This company is advertising on Facebook as a small Welsh collective of artisan workers who spend several hours working on beautifully embroidered and unique bags. It is more than likely the bags come from Chinese scammers and not Wales...
My questions to Maples Stitches are:-
[1] If you spend hours working on the individual bags as you claim, how come you have reduced them in price from £100 each to just under £30 each? That makes no sense and you are ripping yourselves off. If you are investing 2 to 3 hours in each bag as you claim on your website, then you are paying yourselves less than the minimum wage, and not even covering the cost of the materials used.
[2] How come exactly the same bags are being sold by Susan & Linda Atelier - that means yours are hardly unique. The reviews on Trust Pilot for Susan & Linda Atelier speak for themselves.
[3] How come your dragon bag is being sold be TEMU for £6.00?
All in all I think you'll find this is a scam and any unfortunate buyers will receive a printed bag with NO embroidery which will be posted from China.
Absolute con
Absolute con, the bag is a basic print on canvas and not as promoted. Avoid!
This company uses false advertising
This company uses false advertising. Its products are not what they say they are. Supposedly made in the uk they actually come from china and are way too expensive for what they are. The bag I bought was not quilted or layered but a print instead.
