Silver is a precious metal that naturally oxidizes over time when exposed to air, humidity, or stored away for a long period without being worn. This tarnishing is a normal chemical reaction, not a sign of bad quality, and can easily be cleaned to make the necklace look brand new again!

Les bijoux sont beaux, assez intemporels mais la qualité est très inégale , autant les bagues en argent ne bougent pas autant celle en vermeil s’est dédoré en 4 mois !! Et les bo en argent s’oxydent très souvent . Inacceptable. Je les ai envoyé chez un fondeur doreur qui a fait le job. Je ne rachèterais plus chez Mara, trop cher pour une qualité médiocre . Dommage !

Nous vous remercions pour votre avis. Nous sommes toutefois très surpris de vous lire aujourd'hui.
À la suite de notre dernier échange par e-mail en mai, nous attendions que vous ou votre compagnon puissiez déposer votre bague en vermeil au showroom afin que notre atelier puisse l’analyser et vous proposer une solution. N'étant jamais revenue vers nous et n'ayant pas déposé votre bijou, il nous était malheureusement impossible d'agir sans le dépôt de cette dernière. De plus, l'information avait été donné à l'équipe boutique de vous offrir à ce moment là une chamoisine afin de nettoyer et entretenir vos bijoux en argent de l'oxydation.
Concernant la bague en vermeil, vous nous aviez précisé la porter quotidiennement cumulée sur le même doigt avec deux bagues en argent. Comme expliqué, la friction permanente et directe de deux bijoux en argent massif contre un placage en or accélère mécaniquement et considérablement la patine de ce dernier par frottement, ce qui explique ce résultat.
Enfin, concernant vos boucles d'oreilles, l'oxydation de l'argent 925 est un phénomène chimique tout à fait naturel et normal pour ce métal précieux et vivant lorsqu'il est moins porté (au contact de l'air et de l'humidité). Un simple passage de chamoisine suffit à lui redonner son éclat.
Nous regrettons que vous ayez choisi de confier votre pièce à un tiers sans nous avoir laissé l'opportunité d'examiner votre bijou comme nous vous l'avions proposé.

I had a really lovely experience at the atelier yesterday. The jewellery is beautiful and unusual with surprisingly accessible pricing considering the quality of the design, the materials and the high-end retail experience. The team were warm and welcoming and I was made to feel comfortable and special when trying on pieces. I’m so happy with my ear cuff and the experience at the atelier means I will definitely be buying more online now I am no longer in Paris.

J’ai reçu une bague Mara en cadeau et je l’adore ! La qualité est vraiment au rendez-vous : la bague est très jolie, bien finie et elle ne bouge pas dans le temps. Elle est à la fois élégante et facile à porter au quotidien, je reçois souvent des compliments dessus.
On sent que le bijou est fait avec soin et le design est vraiment topissime. Très belle découverte, je recommande sans hésiter !

Kundenservice bei Reklamationen sehr belehrend. Betonen immer wieder was gemäß ihrer AGBs alles ausgeschlossen ist. Eigentlich darf man den Schmuck gar nicht tragen. An der eigenen Qualität scheint jedoch kein Zweifel gelassen zu werden. So ist es scheinbar normal, dass ein vergoldeter 325 EUR Ring nach einem Jahr wie beim Duschen nicht abgenommener Modeschmuck aussieht. Anstatt einsichtig zu sein, bedient man sich der Schuldzuweisungen und begründet dies mit Inhouse Analysen, die eine falsche Nutzung beweisen sollen. Man verlangt für den Umtausch innerhalb der laufenden noch 2 Jahre Gewährleistung eine Recycling Gebühr vom Kunden, die noch nicht mal dem Materialwert entspricht (zzgl. Versandkosten), um den Ring überhaupt mit einem neuen zu ersetzen.
Sorry Mara Paris, das ist das schlechteste Kundenserviceerlebnis das ich je hatte. Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen, bei anderen Herstellern zu kaufen. Da bekommt man wesentlich mehr für sein Geld und muss sich dann nicht noch belehren lassen für schlechte Qualität zum Wucherpreise. Ich habe Ringe von anderen Herstellern zu wesentlich günstigeren Preisen mit gleichwertiger 18K Vergoldung, die ich seit 4 Jahren trage und denen der Gebrauch nicht anzusehen ist. Gleiche Person, gleiche Tragegewohnheiten, andere Ringe die nahezu unversehrt aussehen, nur der Ring von Mara Paris schaut schlecht aus.

In this specific situation, the ring was returned to us for inspection and analyzed by our workshop. The examination showed that the structure of the ring had been significantly compressed (from size 58 to size 54), which unfortunately caused internal tension in the metal and accelerated wear of the vermeil plating.
While this type of structural modification does not fall under a manufacturing defect, we still proposed a replacement solution in order to resolve the situation and allow the client to continue enjoying the piece.
At Mara Paris, our jewelry is handcrafted and designed to be worn daily when used according to the care guidelines. We always aim to find fair and constructive solutions when issues arise, even when they fall outside warranty conditions.
We are sorry that our efforts were not perceived this way, and we remain committed to providing attentive support to our clients.

Purchased an open ring and when taking…
Purchased an open ring and when taking off the label tag I noticed it had split at the bottom, upon further inspection I saw that it still had soldering marks at the bottom, meaning it wasn’t crafted properly and that’s why it split while taking the tag off (never even wore it). I tried speaking with them over email, they proceeded to blame me for trying to adjust it (which I didn’t) I even provided images of the soldering marks in the refund but all they could offer was a gift card not even worth the full amount of the ring, so I had to repurchase the same ring (hope it’s well crafted this time) and pay $88 extra since I wasn’t refunded the full amount… I would say save your money and buy from mejuri or any other similar jewelery brand, not worth it.

We are very sorry to read this review, as it does not accurately reflect the situation or the solution that was provided.
After receiving the ring back and physically inspecting it with our workshop, we established that the structure of the ring had been compressed and reduced in size compared to its original measurement. You bought a size 50, it's now size 48, as you saw on the pictures provided. Our open rings are strictly non-adjustable, as any tension applied to the structure can create internal stress and lead to splitting at the base.
This type of structural change cannot occur during production or while removing a label tag. Every piece leaving our atelier undergoes individual quality control before shipment.
Despite the fact that the issue was identified as usage-related and therefore not covered under manufacturing warranty, we offered a solution in good faith:
– a gift card for the value of the ring
– only deducting the €35 recycling fee
– and waiving the $27 return shipping costs as a courtesy
Our intention was to provide a fair and constructive resolution, which was accepted, and a new ring was ordered.
We stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and remain fully available to assist our clients when questions arise.

Je me suis rendu en boutique un Samedi après midi en me promenant pour le retour des beaux jours Parisiens, je n'étais évidemment pas le seul... Malgré une boutique bien remplie, j'ai été accueilli par une équipe de vente qui a su m'aider, me conseiller et prendre soin de répondre à toutes mes questions.

Purchased a gold open ring which fit…
Purchased a gold open ring which fit perfectly - upon first wear it got caught on a hair band and split in two. I perfectly appreciate that you need to treat open rings with care and also would have no issue accepting a bend in the ring after snagging but to snap straight away leads me to believe it already had a fracture/weakness in the metal and was a manufacturing issue.
When contacted I was fobbed off and blamed for not looking after it. Wont be recommending or purchasing from again - no doubt i will receive a response to this review repeating I misused it which I dispute.

We are truly sorry to read about your disappointment, especially as this happened on first wear. We completely understand how frustrating this experience must have felt.
However, as mentioned in our private exchanges, the ring broke following a snagging incident with a hair band. Open rings, particularly when crafted in sterling silver and vermeil, are by nature more delicate structures. These precious metals are intentionally softer than materials such as steel, allowing comfort but they are also more vulnerable to sudden tension if caught or pulled.
As you noted yourself, these designs require particular care. Unfortunately, when an open ring is forcibly pulled after being caught, the stress placed on the metal can lead to breakage. This type of incident falls outside of manufacturing defects.
We would also like to reassure readers that all our pieces undergo multiple quality controls before shipment to ensure they meet our standards.
While we were not obliged to do so given the circumstances, we still offered you a personal 30% discount code as a goodwill gesture toward a future purchase.
Accidents can happen, and we always aim to remain open to dialogue and supportive where possible. That said, we cannot assume responsibility for damage resulting from external tension rather than a confirmed production fault.

2 bagues sans pb
J'ai commandé 2 bagues à plusieurs mois d'intervalle entre les 2, je porte les 2 assidûment et elles sont toujours au top. Lors de la commande de la 2ème, je me suis trompée dans la taille et m'en suis aperçue dès la réception du mail de confirmation. J'ai donc envoyé un mail au SAV à minuit, dès ma commande finalisée, et le lendemain matin , j'avais une réponse me disant que je recevrais bien la taille souhaitée et non la taille commandée

The jewelry is beautiful, but the service in the store is bad. I was trying things on and the saleswoman kept insisting on telling me the price of the items as if I couldn't afford them. I found it rude; I could have bought more, but I even lost the desire to.
