I am very disappointed with my experience. I returned a karategi that was confirmed as received on July 18th, but as of August 13th, I still haven't received my refund. This kind of delay is unacceptable. Despite the confirmation of receipt, the lack of action on their part has forced me to consider taking further steps if I don't receive my money soon. I expected much better service and cannot recommend them based on this experience.

(Ill start by saying stock items are more than likely incorrect, so taking a chance with item actually been avail even if it says its in stock..Lack of communication, gave 3 stars as have. Not yet received item, item WAS in stocks when I ordered and was somehow out of stock when I send order under 2 mins later. I'm not going to bother slating them as I have not had enough experience, but not knowing what's happening with my order is enough to make me second think my decision, I'm reading the companies replies to customers, they seem pretty wound up to me , not a way to speak if you want ur service used, your gonna get disgruntled customers that's just part of the nature of the beast I'm afraid. I think the issue is possible lack of honesty ( saying items in stocks so they get your money, if they say out of stock there's a possibility that the customer will look elsewhere) not a great tactic to create happy customers
I myself was for lack of a better word annoyed as item was I. Stock and I bought it for my child and was looking forward to him having it within a week now I have no idea were it is, today is the day they said they would have it in stock so heres hoping.

For anyone having issues, get onto bank provider and the reverse payment no problems as yes getting replies from these guys is like getting blood from a stone.

Absolute waste of time with these crowd in my opinion, they just don't care enough, just another order number to them.. I've shopped alot with China they are amazing to deal with , ok shipping takes time but they understand the importance of customer service

Don't believe the negative reviews.

I can confirm this is a real shop, with real people who do a great job. They don't deserve the flood of spurious negative reviews on here.

Order date 25.03.2024. Order n. 55821
After a week i got an update saying it currently isn’t in stock but the supplier will bring them in next week. I had no issues with that and waited i got one othe notification telling they are getting the ware in hand on Tuesday and for over a month thats it, no updates and the website says its still on hold. I’ve reached out multiple times seeking for a way to sort this out but with no answer

I ordered some spparing gears. Unfortunately I ordered wrong sizes (I followed size guide on the website). Wanted to exchange so I emailed a couple of times email provided on the website but no response. I try call number from the website but number turned off.

After 2 weeks of trying I contacted PayPal and that get emai back from martialartsireland.net with return address with no information if courier will collect it or anything. I even offered that I can dropped it to the warehouse. But not response.

Customer service is not even for one star.

#55656 ordered January 3rd, still no item received total cost almost euro 900 ..same experience as other reviews, email asking me to remove review,and some more to me threatening,if someone can provide me with their address ,I have something in euro business park little island cork,our club will be close to Cork in the spring,we have a lot of unhappy guys who all pitched in for this equipment ,we need documents signed, this on line communication not working,they are going to blame it on the competition, maybe able to help others,we are going to do a bit of leg work,than we will turn it over,not having any look with phone calls either, maybe martialartsireland will respond with their address and contact info,I have no problem putting my information out there,all the club are on this,and are updated on all,we have a video slideshow of all the transitions,we review it before our workout,kind of a boost, would love to be able to submit all this information to trust pilot,for all to see, anyway not going there, like to do this some way civil, this is the advice we are getting..T45--96 address we do have listed as aka total combat, guess same people..

Horrible “company”, wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole. Funny how they keep saying all the reviews without an order number in them are the “competition” in all their replies but after a wave of 1 star reviews, you’ll see a wave of 5 star from 1 review profiles.. WITHOUT order numbers. I suspect they’re trying to inflate their reviews to try and hide all these true experiences.

Don’t pretend you don’t know. I have all my proofs here. Emails you send me and my shopping confirmation email. You have my phone number call me. You also have my email. You told me as soon you get them you will send me the mitts back and you never did. That was in may.

*Edit 14/02/2024 martial arts Ireland have replied to say that I did not supply an order number ( 55250 ) when requested by them and that this is a fake review. I supplied everything they requested to verify my details as a genuine customer ( They requested my info to assist their attempt to have my review removed) all information provided to them was already included in an email threat I received from them on 07/02/2024 ( my full name, home address, email, phone number and order number ) Absolutely pathetic responses from an extremely incompetent “company”

If they spent as much time and effort into operating their farce of a business, as they do at responding to their bad reviews and trying to discredit customers, they might have a little more success!!

* Edit 07/02/24 - have just received a threat from Martial Arts Ireland to publish my personal details online if I don’t remove this review. They threaten to “expose” that I made an order with them in November “that went fine” what they failed to include was that it was in the year 2022!! They trade under two emails addresses. They say that sale went fine, no it did not. It was delivered directly from a UK Store that they ordered from themselves. I had to pay a customs charge which I attempted to contact them about numerous times. I realized they were the same dodgy crowed when I contacted them re the order placed in Sept 2023 as they kept the same phone number!!

They are also furious that I said PayPal issued my refund, not them. What they don’t realize is PayPal inform you that the seller did not make any contact them regarding the claim so they chose in my favour. I stand by everything I have said as the truth. If my personal information provided to them is used as a punishment to me speaking the truth, I will contact the Gardai and the National Data Protection Authority. *

CON-ARTISTS!! I placed an order with these con artists on Sept 17th ‘23. They do not communicate or reply to queries about receiving the product. If you do get a reply, it’s someone acting the idiot and pretending not to know what’s happening, they ask for info you have already provided ( order no. Etc ) and fob you off that way. I requested a refund on 5th of December ‘23 and got an email the same day saying refund has been processed. (More lies from them) I eventually had to escalate the case to PayPal in January and received a refund on 28th of Jan ‘24 because these con artists wouldn’t engage with PayPal. They had no intention of ever refunding my money.

They sell products that they don’t have in stock. Take your money and tell you their “suppliers” are out of stock. And that will be all you hear from them.

No doubt they will say that I am a competing business or someone out to trash them but I will happily provide evidence to everything I have said here.

Do not purchase from these thieves. How many people haven’t got their money back from them?? Plenty I’m sure. That’s why they’re still doing what they do. I’m sorry I don’t look for reviews before purchasing. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

Hi, I made an order (#55500) early December, unfortunately there was some stock issues and I had no problem waiting but something has come up on my end and I was hoping to cancel the order and get a refund, i tried your email, I got through to you the first time but radio silence when I asked for a refund, just wondering if there's a different way that I need to request a refund?

I agree with the other reviews. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. I ordered in June & my order was due after 10 days. Got email to say it would be 3 weeks, so I waited, and waited and waited. Emailed them continuously but not response. Website said temporary problem with site and send text message. I did this. Still no response. I see website still says the same 6 months later. Anyway, they would not engage so I went to CCPC and after also going to my Credit Card Provider I got my money back 5 months later.

UPDATE (After MAI accussed me of being fake & buying review on the internet (think that's Slander!!)
My order number was #55002 placed in 14/06/2023. I can also post the full thread of emails sent to Martial Arts Ireland over the next 4 months. It's just a pity they could not reply to them as promptly as they have to this bad review on Trustpilot.

Martial arts Ireland just ordered from Playwell Martial Arts and sent it directly to me with a 50% mark up. I received a customs letter to pay €20 import duty on the product as they did not pay the VAT and also an invoice from Play Well martial arts with the real value. So what should have cost €50 ended up costing a total of €130!

Not "The Competition" just an annoyed customer. The fact that you even claim on your site to have a return address on Quill street, London which is the same address as Play well Martial arts just proves my point.

They also seem to be using a number of other websites to try and cover up bad reviews and scam people:

If anybody is still unsure just have a look at play well martial arts (UK based) before purchasing and order from any of the numerous decent Irish suppliers to avoid paying import duties as well.

In their reply they said I suggest ordering from Play well and pay in pounds etc... which I do not, but I also don't recommend ordering from martial arts Ireland and paying a premium for them to order from Play well for you and slap you with the import duties for good measure.

Like others, I believe this is a Scam site. I got suspicious when Royal Mail were the courier. The Royal mail then stated that they could not 'export' the item due to insufficient documentation. Martial Arts Ireland did reply and said "it would be resent - like the label got ripped off". No - looks like I was ripped off. Nothing since then (product or service) and now no communication. Scam, scam, scam. Do not use them.

martialartgearireland.net - this is the 'new' one they are pushing as the 'legit' website. They are still connected to Total Combat, selling the same products. Pushing the MAG gear which is then advertised on the TC youtube channel. They need to hide this better.

Instead of calling this a 'fake', how about you explain how all the above websites look the same? How do you have a handful of reviews in 10 years? And out of these, almost all are 1*?

Here is a funnier one, you only started replying here after your martialartgearireland.net page got deleted from Trustpilot for POSTING FAKE 5* reviews. How do I know? I got an email to say my 1* review was deleted because the page was taken down.

ALL 4 websites above have terrible reviews because they are all ran by the same people. Irish businesses register .IE domains not .NET. A two year old child can register a .net domain, but to register a .IE domain you need to prove you have a business and then if you do scam people YOU are liable because they would have you COMAPANY number, ID, BILL, etc.

I'd love to hear your explanation for the above.

To reply to your ridiculous points:

Point 1 - don't compare your .net website to Bank of Ireland. You keep saying I'm your competition which is pretty funny as this is what keeps you up at night, the competition. But did you notice how all your 'competition' has a .IE website? That's what customers call a genuine IRISH website. Calling all your reviews 'fake' even though they are all verified by Trustpilot is poor on your part as a 'business' owner.

Point 2 - Your sarcastic reply doesn't answer my question. Why all 4 domains run on the same theme/products/layout/etc and all 4 have them same bad reviews. Same complaints from customers. Can't see the pattern? I can't add screenshots here but anyone reading this can open 3 tabs and open totalcombat.net , martialartsireland.net , martialartgearireland.net and explain how these 3 websites are not operated by the same guy. There's probably a couple more.

Point 3 - Again, you're missing the point. It took down the page because of the FAKE 5 Star reviews that YOU added to make it look genuine. TrustPilot took down martialartgearireland.net because the owner (you) were adding fake reviews. The replies, punctuation was the same as what you are typing below. This is why I believe you are the owner of these domains.

As for ' competition trying to tear us apart again' relax there, you are not Warren Buffett, no one cares about your ninja stars or karate pj's.

I placed an order on October 6th, 2022. First, the seller was not able to deliver it on time, because the article was out of stock.

I wrote several e-mails to ask for a new delivery date or to transfer the already paid money back. But no answer until now.

Be very careful! Hands off from this seller !!!

Item never arrived, had to do a chargeback with my bank.

Hilarious reply from the company. I'm not a business - I never received my order and there was no communication from them after reaching out multiple times.

I placed an order in October, 2022 and it never arrived. After several attempts via email and promises that my order was being shipped and then finally trying to request a refund, they stopped responding. Stay clear of this one!

Placed an order on the 21st December, the goods still haven't arrived and it's now the 31st January. No replies to my query emails, texts and the phone number doesn't connect when placing a call to it.

Ordered 1st Jan 2023. no responses to email, texts (they ask you to text on web page) or calls regarding my order. Avoid
