Went in 15 minutes before closing needing a new valve stem. It is a small job but they were busing closing out. Travis took it straight back and changed it out. I knew he was pressed for time but he cared enough to do it. Thanks

I quickly found myself with a flat tire and called Mavis Tire and brakes in the Automall. I talked to Mr. Robert in the customer service extremely helpful. when I got up there there was a lady at the front desk and everybody else was so helpful. Very fast service friendly. Mavis Tire in Johnson City N.Y. On Reynolds Rd. Across from The Oakdale Mall. This is THE BEST REPAIR SHOP IN THE TRIPLE CITIES!!! Here is Why! Polite and Courteous Sevice Representatives! And Work Staff! I take both My Wife’s and My Car there! Have NEVER Had a problem with The QUALITY OF WORK! Prices are fair NOT CRAZY Like The DEALER! Never have I had to wait long for a small job or if I have to leave my Car and come back it is always ready when they say that it will be! I give them 5 STARS and from 0 to 10 a very High 10! Needed a trailer tire replaced, so they ordered one, mounted and balanced it. Went to pick it up and I noticed that the "new" tire was 4 years old, going by the DOT code stamped on the tire. Unacceptable! So they ordered another tire and a week later went to pick it up. This next "new" tire is 3 years old. The manager Omar went out of way to make things right and claimed that this is what the warehouse is sending him. He was able to refund a percentage of the bill. Lesson learned, going back to Tire Rack. At least they carry new tires. Buyer beware. Read those date codes before they mount up your "new" tires.

I had a deeply concerning experience at the Mavis Discount Tire on 56 South Cortland St. in East Stroudsburg on April 10th. I brought my vehicle in for a standard PA safety and emissions inspection, but the visit quickly turned into an attempt to mislead me.
The Inspection Issues:
My vehicle had been serviced by my personal mechanic the day before to ensure it met all PA inspection standards. Despite this, a staff member approached me claiming my vehicle was going to fail for the exact same issues that had just been corrected. My mechanic—who takes great pride in his work—was on the phone during this exchange and confirmed that the staff’s claims were completely bogus.
Aggressive and Dishonest Staff:
When I challenged their findings, the employee became confrontational, telling me they were going to "make me sign" paperwork and threatened to "make a phone call" if I refused. When I demanded they take my vehicle down and return it to me, I was provided with nothing to sign, proving their earlier threats were a lie.
Vehicle Damage:
The most upsetting part is that when my car was finally returned, it had a new rattling noise that was not there when I arrived. When I confronted the staff, they flatly lied and said it was making that noise when I got there.
I have since filed a police report regarding this encounter to document I will also be reporting this to PennDOT in case of any future mechanical failure. I would highly recommend avoiding this location. They are dishonest, unprofessional, and returned my car in worse condition upon leaving.
