Came out, told me it was a united utilities issue but charged me £160 for the call out. Which I had to pay cash to them. Followed up several weeks later by a phone call asking me to settle my bill.

Quick service. Unblocked main drain, problem sorted

The representative from Metro Rod was really excellent. His attitude was one of I’m going to sort out this blocked waste pipe major problem and he did-he succeeded where three previous firms had failed. I won’t name him for sake of data privacy but we will ask for him by name again -the customer service was exemplary.

The service was first class and they were very helpful in what they done got sorted it out no problems A ++++++++++

Came out and gave a quote very quickly. Confirmed by phone and came out a day early because of a cancellation. Work was completed on time and to a high standard, photos were provided of all stages of the work.

MetroRod were sent round on a Sunday evening by our home insurer's emergency service, which we pay extra for, to tackle a bath blockage and leak.

I could list a host of issues as long as my arm, but the short and simple is that the engineer made it blatantly obvious he didn't know what he was doing nor alot about plumbing in general, and by the end of the visit, had actually made the leak worse nor cleared the blockage.

Bear in mind this is work that I could have done with the right tools and parts, parts and tools you would expect a plumber to carry.

Despite calling Metro Rod and asking them to send someone else for the return visit, that knew what they were doing, they sent the same bloke who did a bodge of a repair, including fitting a part the wrong way round.

I called Metro Rod, giving them another chance to right their wrongs, but instead I was fobbed off.

So if you dont know anything about plumbing, dont use these pretenders, because they dont have clue either or cant be arsed to train or vet their staff.

I had 2 gentlemen come out, first one it was his last visit of the day and I think he just wanted to go as soon as he arrived, he had to go off and get water then ran out of water and said he thought he resolved the issue. Couple days later had to have another gentlemen out as the issue was not sorted and this gentleman went above and beyond, checked absolutely everything he possibly could have , used the camera and got to bottom of the problem, was very thorough and cleaned up after him and problem resolved . He was a credit to Metro Rod.

Used this company a lot now efficient happy to help and get the job done to high and very clean standard amazing guys !!

Fantastic service and knowledge by Mitch and Harvey from the Derby/Nottingham branch. Very determined to investigate and resolve issue. At the same time demonstrating great customer service and professionalism.

The operator of the camera was helpful, friendly and went the extra mile to get the footage needed

Call out metro rod to unblock my man hole , Colin came from deeside depot, he was well mannered and full of knowledge, he cleared the drain straightaway, explained the problem and cleaned up the mess , he is a credit to the deeside branch, 10 stars colin

Metro Rod’s customer service is shockingly poor. I emailed Lisa at the Bicester branch well over a week ago and still haven’t received even an acknowledgment , let alone response to my query. If this is how they treat simple enquiries, I dread to think how they’d handle a real problem.

Zero professionalism, zero urgency. Avoid unless you enjoy being ignored

5 STAR SERVICE ***** I can’t recommend MetroRod Deeside highly enough. After a persistent drainage issue that had been misdiagnosed by Dŵr Cymru, MetroRod went above and beyond to help us get to the bottom of it. After an initial visit to unblock our drains (brilliant service - checked issue with a camera after unblocking and made sure everything was clean afterwards), they were incredibly helpful, professional, and supportive throughout what became quite a drawn-out process with Dŵr Cymru.

The team made several visits, and each time the lads who attended were polite, punctual, and took the time to explain everything clearly. They didn’t just do the job — they made sure we understood what was going on and what needed to happen next. Their patience and thoroughness really stood out. They also spoke with Dŵr Cymru on my behalf during one of the visits, which I really appreciated.

MetroRod also agreed to attend during one of Dŵr Cymru’s site visits to support a joint approach and help finally resolve the issue.

Chris and Annelie at the office are really lovely to deal with and very helpful. I wish I could remember the names of all the workers who came out at various times - apologies!!! - shout out to Steve and Paul and everyone else who came out.
