I will never subscribe again. You pay to be watch maybe half the games you expect if you are lucky. Otherwise there are blackouts or games sold to other networks. Why TF am I missing a baseball game because it’s on Apple TV? MLB is the worst brand in sports. Not doing themselves any favors with the way they run their media.

It's not as bad as a 1* should be, but I'm definitely let down by it. I got the full MLBtv package this year so I could not only watch Mariners games but all the other games too. I was aware that some games would get picked up by other networks, but not if any expected blackout restrictions.

I can echo most of the other complaints though. I'm really sick of the app freezing or doing the spinning circle of death and forcing a restart. I frequently pause games and come back to them later, and the app crashed during my pause and I'd have to reset to current at least 3/4 of the time. It's not a question of whether it will crash, but of how many times and how frequently.

The number of blackouts and unavailable games was also quite a letdown. Frequently the best game of the night is blacked out. Since I paid $100 of my fee just to see Mariner games, and couldn't watch a fair number of them, I was pretty irritated.

I don't want to, as I hate giving money for an inferior product, but I'll probably get it again next year. They have me by the shirt hairs.

This is my third season subscribing to MLB.TV and major problems have not been addressed and blackouts are increasing. It is impossible to watch an entire game without the need to reload it at least 2-3 times. There are more game blackouts due to broadcasts by other streaming services. Am I expected to subscribe to every streaming service simply to watch my team's games. This is exactly the reason I subscribed to MLB.TV and they're not delivering their end of our contract!

I've had this service for years, and if I didn't love baseball so much I would have canceled years ago. First of all, it's more expensive per month than almost every streaming service. I hope you're not a fan of your home state team as it will be blacked out. I hope you enjoy that the biggest games of the weekend will usually be blacked out as MLB.TV will constantly lose game broadcasting rights to other streaming services. I hope you don't enjoy the all-star game, the playoffs, or the world series, because if you don't have the corresponding cable channels that are broadcasting those you won't be watching. I hope you enjoy constant glitches, slow loading, and generally poor streaming quality as you'll be running into that a lot. It's like every year they pocket everybody's money and do zero work on improving their service. Maybe this year is the year I finally realize it's not worth it.

The app is atrocious and mind boggling to use. A total waste of money . Don’t buy it. It’s a failure.

Way too much advertising. They even cram them in during the game. When there is a slowdown they put up some 5 second schill about ford trucks or a law center I'll never use (i mostly watch the tigers). During the normal commercial time between innings and such the advertising is sooo repetitive, i could say them in my sleep. Been a subscriber for many years but think I'm out next season. I'll just watch the replays on YouTube.

Sooo many games “blacked out” for various reasons. Certainly not “EVERY game besides local blackout restrictions”, like advertised.
You will be frustrated and angry MANY times you plan on watching a game and can’t.

Getting sick of this service!! Games are blacked out constantly (though I get around it with a VPN-screw em!), the video quality is horrendous quite often (though the commercials are crystal clear), and the games buffer despite my 4K TV being hardwired to my AT&T fiber port. Seems like the price keeps going up while the product keeps getting worse. I think this will be my last year subscribing to his horrible service.

The app used to be decent two months ago. But the last month or so all I get is video streaming errors and it constantly freezes and there is no solution for it so basically the app sucks and you get what you get.

Long time baseball fan, I am getting more disappointed every year. Expected to buy more and more channels to watch games and the games are evolving into professional wrestling. Players mugging for the camera and excessive celebrating for doing their job. If you keep changing the rules you should change the name of the game. It won't be baseball anymore.

My husband bought MLB.tv subscription for me as a surprise cause I love baseball! Am a Milwaukee Brewers fan always! It is disgusting that so many games do not come through the subscription paid for! If this blackout stuff continues the rest of the season I will not renew for next season. COME ON MLB GIVE US OUR GAMES!!!

Terrible customer service. Hundreds of games blacked out. And then the blackout schedule was not even correct after half the season so far. Do not buy mlb.tv.

Worst pay tv I have. WTF?

Blackouts are terrible. I am not near a baseball city by hundreds of miles. I paid for the Stl Cardinals and am blacked out anytime they play the Reds or Cubs. This will be my one and only time i subscribe to their service.

What was the point in purchasing this service when we still can’t watch a team half the time. My wife is a Braves fan in PA and they’re blacked out if they are playing the Phillies, Mets, Yankees, Pirates, Orioles or any national game. Your blackout rules should be one market and that’s it!

I thought MLB.tv was supposed to be THE PLACE to watch baseball. But it seems like more and more games have been sold to third party streaming services, making them unavailable on MLB. If I really want to watch games all summer, I'll need to subscribe to Fox, ESPN, NBCSports, Peacock, AppleTV, AND MLB. Also, I'm in the Richmond area, yet Washington DC games are blacked out for me. It's 100 miles away!

Increasing number of out of market games unavailable to watch live due to providers such as Peacock, NBC, NBCSN, AppleTV+, FOX and ESPN(There are exceptions with ESPN.)
On their web page MLB.TV says "Watch EVERY out-of-market game LIVE or on demand". Be advised though, it isn't your choice. A good example of his was July 5th, 2026 when all games were on Peacock, NBC or NBCSN. Having an active MLB.TV subscription was completely useless on 7/5.
