I've been purchasing laptops with Kensington locks for decades, I didn't think they made them without until I purchase a new thin and light Asus Zenbook 15.

Of curse it didn't have a way to secure it. I travel with it in my car on most days so this was a BIG concern.

I'm glad I found Multplx and their 3.5mm secure lock device. It works great and allows me to secure it in my car again. As simple as the Multplx setup is for configuring the combo lock, I managed to screw it up and had to call for tech support. I talked with Sham and he got all taken care of, a big shout out to their support for standing behind their products.

What an incredible company!!!! Got my lock and due to user error couldn’t open it. Spoke with Shao who was amazing and spent considerable time walking me through steps to unlock the lock. It couldn’t be done and they sent me a new one. Amazing!!!!! Wish all companies were this customer friendly. Highly recommend !!!!

Customer Service was great. I had difficulty understanding the setting of lock. Their first response was dead on and no further correspondence was required.

Customer support is great. I was worried that I didn't have enough technical expertise to ask for help, but Sham guided me through a couple of difficulties, and my laptop which didn't have a slot is now locked perfectly. The original anchor we purchase didn't work properly, Multplx sent another perfect one very quickly. I mistakenly thought my old lock would fit it but it didn't. Multplx kindly sold me a combination lock at discount and sent it very quickly.

Items shipped immediately and received in the US very quickly - was surprised it would get here so fast! Lock is good quality and the audio jack adapter was just what my laptop needed as it had no lock slot.

Not sure if it will stop someone from stealing if they really want it. But it at least deters people who want an easy grab.

We bought a laptop anchor from Multplx, we had a slight problem with the anchor sticking in the laptop port, after sending an email. We had a call within 30mins to help resolve the issue. Sham took the time to do some troubleshooting talking me through step by step to ensure we had covered all the basics, it was agreed that a new anchor would be sent out.
This was great customer service and very helpful team. Sham was patient with me and reassured me at each stage of the process. The new anchor arrived and is working fine. Thank you for all your help and for your understanding.

I was able to solve my problem of protecting my Dell laptop that did not come with K slot for locking mechanism.

A better way to secure my laptop that has no Kensington-type slot. The Multplx adapter that inserts inside the headphone jack provides a solid anchor point that in turn has a slot that was compatible with my old cable lock that I used for my previous laptop.

Does what it's supposed to, turned up on time. What's not to like.

Bought a bundle including an anchor and cable lock for an Asus Zenbook with no lock slot.

The bundle arrived quickly on 48hr tracked postage.

The cable lock is a fairly standard combination lock with a nice finish and a flexible cable, that is less springy than others I have used, so is easy to route tidily.

The ingenious laptop anchor uses the 3.5. headphone / microphone jack socket. You put the peg in into the 3.5mm jack socket and the laptop and turn a screw to expand it. The peg is then locked into the laptop and the aluminium body provides a standard 3 x 7 lock slot. Once the lock has been fitted the screw hole is hidden.

The anchor makes a firm mechanical connection to the laptop which feels robust.
