Extremely disappointed with the west Bromwich branch yesterday.. Ordered a drive through.. Im sure you can appreciate the importance of health for all given the current covid 19 situation.
There was absolutely no distance between staff members whilst preparing the food. No masks at all, some staff prepping the food had no gloves on at all. Shocking!!!! The worst of all the manager with a white shirt looked clueless, exhausted, and he was literally on top of the guy who was serving at the drive through window. The uber and just eat delivery guys were all on top of each other with no sense of social distance. I was so concerned for the staff members, as well as for myself I waited in the drive through queue not order to what I witnessed, and I drove off without purchasing any food.. The above experience is very concerning and could lead to a death in the current climate. Hope this is not the same experience at all Big John tipu sultan and oodles branches. As I have been a loyal custome.

Just purchased a "Chicken" Chips and salad. A Kabab with chips, from Big Johns Shirley. The chicken turned out to be Lamb! no salt and vinegar as requested. The Kabab had no chips. The girl serving on the counter was struggling to understand basic English to take our order. The standards of this establishment needs to be addressed by top management.

Save your money and health before ordering! They employ friends family so very easy to get job here, no checks etc, and the hygiene levels are abysmal....hair and beard nets aren't compulsary so you'll get hairy food, gross!

Just come from big john’s in Mohill .. The food is absolutely disgusting just thrown all in the bin ... Waited a good 40 mins for a chicken wrap which was so spicey it couldn’t be eaten , a chicken burger that was very dry with about five bits of onion and covered in ketchup and cold chips ... God bless the chipper in newtownfobres your always sure of getting good food ...

Ordered a large 20’’ pizza and chips came an hour later cold.
Manger said you can eat chips cold, really? So why do you fry them and serve them hot? Put them in the fridge.
I had to put the oven on and warm all the food up.
He said he will give me a free large chips.
Not impressed will be going back to Caspian. Had a gut feeling I should have called them in the first place.
Didn’t realise they had so many negative reviews otherwise wouldn’t have bothered.

Big black pubic hair in the middle of my kebab and the order was completely wrong!! No one wore beard nets or hair nets, they said it was their choice if they wore them or not tramps..don’t go to the chelmsley wood branch

Absolutely terrible I have been on the toilet for a whole day and they also gave the wrong order. Also the delivery man was quite rude I expected better. Wouldn’t recommend this takeaway and wouldn’t order from here again.

Did an order on just eat, after 90 minutes we called the restaurant, upon eventually getting through, we were told our order would be on it's way, I definitely would not recommend using this place for take away, go in store the staff are usually quite friendly. The food is as you'd expect for the type of eatery that it is - Food is about 2-3/5 stars, usual chip shop stuff. Delivery let it down.

Called them first to ask if they do fresh Nann they said yes so I went down order food when Itcame out there was no fresh Nann False advertising I still took the food it was the worst I ever eat would even feed it my dog ive been in the fish and chip trade for 20 year I would say the food is the worst I have ever had thank you

Been a customer for many years but the other night has changed all that.

They have changed their menu and taken many items off. One of the items I normally order has been taken off but by just removing one item from the products returns my order to what it was. I was happy to pay the same to.

I had left a note explaining what I wanted and to call if any questions. My order turned up wrong so I rang the customer services number and got told nothing could be done so I requested the branch manager rang me. Nothing. So I called back and was again told a manager would call.

I then got a call back from a woman. I have no idea if she was from the branch or the customer services department as she did not introduce herself other then saying this is big John's. I again explained what I could but this women is very rude and tried to speak over me constantly. I explained about the notes not being read and her response was it's pot luck if the notes are read or not.

I then said so if I had an allergy and put this in the notes and before I could finish yet again she cut me off and tried talking over me. I was getting no where with this "customer assistant" so I ended the call and rang back up to make a complaint. I was told I would get a call back again from the branch manager.

I got a phone call back yet again and when I asked if it was the manager I was told "no you will not be speaking to the manager and I will deal with it"

Although this person was not rude and explained things I doubt I will be back.

I used to go to Big John's many years ago .. I remember when they opened the first shop in Erdington you could get fish and chips and puke pie and chips for 99p, I littually lived in big John's then eating every day from there ..Anyway I went to Erdington Big John's tonight I ordered 2 parpha wraps and a portion of wedges .. although the shop looks spotless and staff well dressed in uniform the guy making the wraps ect ... sneezed out 2 times littually over the work too and salad without turning away or trying to cover up . To be honest these guys need to wear face mask if they dont have hygiene levels .. my chickens dinner had alot of grizzle and the wedges were disgusting they were undercooked greasy and the potatoe was soggy inside almost watery and greasy .. honestly I didnt enjoy any of it and the thought of the guy snexmzzing over food well I'm very disappointed. I wanted a change from slade road prego pizza who might I say the pizzas are almost half big John's prices and to die for and hargee chippy are amazing and cheap but great quality food . I certainly will not recommend big johns to a tone, totally the oppersite..

Big John's in West Bromwich need to close or change manager. Food is tarrible. If not check you can come home without some food for what you pay. Or that take money for milkshake and after just tell to you machine is broken and give you 2can with drink which is more cheaper. There need to go to check about higiene. It looks like they don't have cleaner event who clean tables all the time tables looks terrible. Food put like for animals. Looks like don't care about costumers are they came back or no. Don't go there you be disappointed. Don't waste money. I never not go there any more year ago it was much better.

Me and my partner made a order from big johns website for food to be delivered tonight from the chelmsley wood branch. It was supposed to be delivered at quarter to 7, now after half 7 and it still hasn’t shown up. Terrible service and what’s worse you can’t even get through to their phone line to query it or complain. Complete and utter thieving morons!

I have just gone into big John's in Erdington and ordered a pizza but was not given a receipt a the till. My order was prepared but when I went to collect it I was accused of not paying. After the till receipt was checked it was clear that I had. No apology given what a disgrace. Very disgraceful customer service.

I wouldn’t give any stars to this place absolutely ridiculous service. There customer service is crap. So we went to the drive through got our order asked the guy at the collection point if everything was in the bags and he said yes. So we got home and found half the order is missing!!!!! So we called the customer service and told them about the missing order and if we could have it delivered there response was go back to the store to get the food as they don’t do delivery in my area!!! What a joke! There mistake my money and there telling us to go back bearing in mind the distance is 20’minutes. The girl at customer service wouldn’t let us talk to a manager and said we will get a call back. So we get a call back and guy tells us his just giving a callback but he’s not the manager. So they did not bother to provide a courtesy to deliver our missing food and instead some guy tells us he will sort it out but we have to come back!!!!!! We get to the shop and speak to this Adil guy and it turns out he was a manager who said he wasn’t. Liars!!!!

Very poor performance again from the Chelmsley Wood branch. Haven't ordered from there in a while, so with the new website in action, i thought i would give them a shot again.....big mistake.

Ordered the food at 6:40pm for a 7:30 pm delivery and it didn't arrive until 8:20pm, no apology on arrival, just a knock on, "here is your food" and ran off down the path. On opening the order, we found straight away that they had missed an order of regular chips out completely. Two of the boxes in the bag had puddles of grease on top of them too.

I ordered a mixed kebab meat and chips for my son, no salad which turned up covered in lettuce, cucumber, tomato and onion and all of the food was barely hot.

Called the store to complain, no answer, just a messaging service which i left my details with, but never got a call back. Having to complain via the website as the store are still not answering.

Easy to say that my custom will stay with Mackadown Chippy instead.

Below average food, i only eat here if nothing else is open and i'm desperate. The food is just about edible and not really very good. Don't plan to eat here just use it as a place to eat if everything is closed and your marvin.

Disgusting customer service no way would I ever be ordering again and my girlfriend ordered a vegetarian pizza with NO MEAT it's vegetarian so it wouldn't have meat but it had pepperoni on every slice but under the cheese so she actually ate meat and was really upset. I i tried to call back an complain straight away but no answer even though it was before closing times an then the day after I was busy so called back weds I ordered on Monday for some stupid moronic man to say we need proof so they must think I'm telling lies for no reason at all I wouldn't ever order from them again and no refund no replacement pizza nothing not even a sorry from the seller mentality challenged customer service. 0 stars

Ok so it's not a Michelin starred restaurant but it's certainly as clean as the other fast food restaurants I've visited. Cheap and cheerful and great value for money
