This is seriously good paint
This is seriously good paint. I bought enough for two coats but having now put up the primer and one coat of paint it feels like job done. Worth it for the price. Delivery was quick - quoted 2-3 business days and had it delivered the next day. Highly recommended!

QD kitchen and bathroom varnish unfortunately not fit for kitchen worktop
I used the QD kitchen and worktop oil on the advice of customer services for my hardwood vintage worktops.
I was advised at the time that the varnish was not fully heatproof so I bought a marble chopping board to put hot dishes etc on. The finished result was absolutely beautiful and I was initially pleased however unfortunately the worktop blistered badly when a visitor put cup of tea down momentarily on it. I am now faced with having to re-sand and revarnish my entire kitchen wortops (with a different brand) as the product is not atall fit for purpose.

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and understand how disappointing this must be, especially after the care you took to protect your worktops.
Our varnish is designed to be heat-resistant to everyday use, but it is not fully heatproof, which is why our team advised using protective barriers for hot items. That said, a brief contact from a hot drink should not normally cause blistering, so this is certainly not the result we would expect.
We genuinely appreciate your feedback, as it helps us improve both our products and the advice we provide, and we’re sorry that this experience fell short of your expectations.

Great experience with Gemma and Mylands
We have had a fantastic experience using Myland's colour consultancy service. Gemma is amazing & nailed all of the colour choices, listening to our needs and working together to make sure everything was correct. Can’t thank Gemma enough for the colour…
Can’t thank Gemma enough for the colour consultancy - I’d painted myself into a figurative and literal corner and she was able to give me a handful of options, all of which would have worked beautifully! And just a word of note for anyone contemplating it - copying Mylands colours is an expensive mistake, I tried it and gosh what a waste of time and money. I get now that you’re paying for pigments and a depth of colour that you just can’t mimic with a cheaper emulsion copy. Now I LOVE the colours I’ve chosen, and the process of getting there with Gemma - like having a really knowledgeable friend hold your hand through the process!

Excellent service. Ordered paint charts (completely free of charge) very late one afternoon and they arrived the following day. Plus their paint is beautiful to work with. Applies like 'old school' oil eggshell unlike many other water based paints but obviously very environmentally friendly. Much appreciated!

The paint - No1 White - is the most brilliant white I’ve researched. Great quality and super helpful assistants Julian and Elijah who got a couple of orders very quickly to me , when my decorator ran out of paint. So excellent experience!

Superb samples!
The paint samples arrived on time with some lovely extras - a paint tin opener and paintbrush. The colours were exactly as expected on paper. We’ve chosen Beata Heuman’s Crayfish Party. Can’t wait to see it in our kitchen!
