MyTrip stole part of my money

MyTrip stole part of my money. I paid 119 KWD for an EgyptAir ticket. The flight was canceled due to war, but they refunded only 75 KWD and kept 44 KWD, falsely blaming EgyptAir. EgyptAir confirmed this is a lie.

This is fraud and theft. If they do not return the full refund immediately, I will escalate to Consumer Protection, Civil Aviation, and my bank, and I will expose their misconduct publicly across all platforms.
Avoid MyTrip – they cheat customers.

Terrible customer service – Refunds never processed

MyTrip’s customer service is extremely poor. They close chat conversations immediately, do not answer emails, and the phone numbers do not work.

They failed to refund my cancelled flight multiple times despite repeated attempts to contact them. This feels like they are taking customers’ money without providing the service or refund.

I strongly advise against using MyTrip until they improve their customer service and refund policies.

The airline confirmed the cancellation.

However, I cannot access my booking because the airline email is different from my real email.

I want to receive my credit or refund.

Never Again with mytrip

My daughter and i booked a flight via my trip, purchased 20Kg luggage and paid the cost which was (x2 in price), while we were checking in at the airport, we discovered that the luggage added by Mytrip was only 12 kg, I had to pay some cash at the airport one more time. I showed the check in officer the proof of my payment, he showed me what is on the system and which was added by the company (only 12 kg). He added that some companies like mytrip are doing this trick with their customers. He added that they will even hide the airline information so the customer will not be able to purchase any luggage from the airline website, so customer will have to purchase anything from the travel agency. And it was totally correct, I didn't receive any infromation from the airline as we always do.

I am writing to express my extreme…

I am writing to express my extreme frustration and to report what I consider a scam. My flight was cancelled due to recent technical issues with the aircraft. I was assured that I would receive a full refund.
​When the issues were supposedly resolved, I went to the airport only to find that my name was not even on the flight manifest. The airline staff confirmed that the booking was cancelled by the agency. At that time, I was promised a refund of my $1000 ticket.
​Now, after waiting for more than 4 months, I am shocked to see a refund of only $4 out of the $1000 I paid. This is unacceptable and constitutes theft.
​I demand a full investigation into this matter and a breakdown of why $996 was deducted. If I do not receive a satisfactory response and my full refund within 7 days, I will escalate this complaint to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and post my experience on all consumer protection platforms, including Trustpilot and social media.

Failed GDPR, not safe with customer details

I work in customer service, and my experience was abysmal. The agent I came through to was Impatient and unfriendly. They would not let me explain my situation in full before talking over me and telling me I was "mistyping my email or searching incorrectly" without asking or looking into their systems to find out. I am very concerned that anyone with just my name can access my flight details and make amendments over the phone. I do not know what their GDPR policies are, but my call did not feel safe or secure and I advise anyone considering booking flights to avoid this company.

Cheap turned out to be expensive - terrible service experience.

The prices they offer seem cheap, but that's where it ends.Once you've paid for the card - you're on your own.They don't take any responsibility, even if the website displays a "self-transfer gurentee" policy that seems credible.And the call center agents, there's no nice way to put it, just lie to your face. They can tell you that you'll get an answer within 4 hours, and if you don't call them after two days you'll never hear from them.
In the end, cheap turns out to be expensive.It's recommended to avoid this company at all costs!

Fighting for a refund

Fighting for a refund. I bought a trip an online flight search which booked through MyTrip.com. The airline cancelled the flight a week later and their airline phone support helped me get a partial refund. The remainder were charges for seats and baggage which MyTrip has seemingly pocketed and no matter how many phone calls and supposed escalations, I am told the money (which of course never arrives) is on its way. The airline phone agent I last spoke with said it outright “the booking agents often take peoples money and essentially hide on the internet”. The scammed have little recourse but to call the MyTrip “helpline” until they give up out of exasperation. Sad but not surprised to see the string of similar reviews here on TrustPilot. BTW, to verify I am an actual swindled MyTrip “customer” my booking # is 1039-814-217

Just seach for Den Danske Rejsegruppe.
Then all the fake stealing companys will show.

Just got the 3 mail that says 5 days and the money is in my account. It has now almost been 45 days ??? And first promis was 5 days. Sekund promis was 14 days ???

Trip Baggage book both ways, now Retrun Flight changed and bags removed! MyTrip is a SCAM!

My booking was changed, then it took very long to resolve with MyTrip, I kept everything the same, but now my bags on the retrun flight has been removed without my concent! Booking order No: MS81Q0 Sort it OUT!

Thange from 1 star to 3 star as I was not informed immediately and had some stress regarding this. Final comment, make the online chat more visible for users, I struggled to find it, thank you.

Tickets to Italy - scam

Bought tickets to a trip to Italy, flight was cancelled. Money was never refunded although promised several times. They give empty promises and basically scam your money, if there are any issues with the flights. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM.

I really don't understand why Skyscanner, Momondo, Kayak or anyone else still cooperates with them.
Every time you chat whith them, you get different answers and empty promises.
They promised the refund back within days, today they say the refund would be back no earlier than january 2024 - nonsense.
I will change the review if i have my money back by 18.10.2023

So i received my money back with such struggle and pain and it took over a month. I know i should be lucky because there are people who wait for their money over a year and have no hope. I wonder on what line the accountant puts this income.
Etraveligroup is the one that receives the money so you have to go nuts to find right contacts.
They should really reorganise their business.
I will never ever use Mytrip ever again.

Skiiiiiiiit booooolag!!!!!!! Skiiiit på er!!!!! Att man har mage att lura sina kunder, det finns onda människor i världen och MYTRIP/SVENSKA RESEGRUPPEN AB är ett genom ruttet skiiiit företag med dom äckligaste mest ohjälpsamma människor som jobbar där!!!!

För att förtydliga min recension, köpte biljetter 2022 i maj till Los Angeles tr med bagage, när jag får bijetten på min mail ser jag att dom missat lägga till vårt bagage till LA, ringer Mytrip som "korrigerar detta", får nya biljetter fortfarande inte där, ringer igen de lovar dyrt och heligt att bagage finns i deras system och att det är med. Dom har 5 månader på sig att korrigera detta fel tills att jag reser i October 2022, kommer till flygplatsen och SAS säger att dom inte har info om bagage, fast jag tydligt visar dom mitt kvitto på allt. Får betala 1400kr för extra bagage jag redan betalat för! Hör av mig till Mytrip, de ber mig göra en anmälan på ett formulär som görs av mig. Går månader hör inget, ringer flera ggr de säger att dom jobbar på det. Ringer till slut sur och de ber mig göra en ny anmälan eftersom den gamla inte verkar ha kommit till rätt avdelning bagage claim. Gör en ny, inget händer på månader igen, ringer flera ggr de ber mig ha tålamod och vänta, nu e jag uppe i ca 6-7 månaders väntan. Får äntligen prata med en "ansvarig" som ber mig ha tålamod efter 8 månader och då har jag ringt och tjatat för att prata med någon som har auktoritet. Då får jag ett mail efter där dom säger att jag ska få tillbaka min summa. Nu 10 månader senare ringer jag dom varje dag, ingen vet något, inga pengar har jag fått, en ansvarig ringer efter dagen efter mitt i natten svensk tid när jag sover, missar såklart samtalet. Ringer säkert nu för 50gången MYTRIP och undrar vad dom håller på med då jag fått mail om att dom försökt att nå mig och vill att jag fyller i en ny ansökan om återbetalningen! MYTRIP ÄR DET HÄR ETT SKÄMT??? NI HAR GJORT FEL FRÅN FÖRSTA BÖRJAN OCH JAG FÅR BE OM MINA PENGAR NI STULIT IFRÅN MIG OCH STALAR MIG FÖR ATT INTE BEHÖVA BETALA TILLBAKA. Dom kör klart och tydligt ett uttmattnings spel för att du som kund ska ge upp! Fortfarande inte hört något från avdelningen som har hand om bagage claim, dom har totalt lurat mig på mina pengar trots att jag gjort allt rätt. Det värsta är att jag inte är ensam, detta äckliga bolag har lurat så många fler och kommer att fortsätta göra det så länge man köper biljetter ifrån dom. Jag uppmanar starkt till bojkott, har gjort en ARN anmälan och har spridit överallt på sociala medier om vilket lömskt, oärligt, hemskt och äckligt företag dom är! Gör dig själv en tjänst köp aldrig ifrån dom och inte ifrån SVENSKA RESEGRUPPEN AB som är en samarbetspartner. KOM IHÅG ATT MAKTEN LIGGER HOS OSS KONSUMENTER ATT HINDRA DESSA BLUFF FÖRETAG OCH KUNNA FÖRGÖRA DOM!!! Fyyyyy ni borde skämmas som lurar folk på pengar, äckliga bolag utan någon som helst heder!!!

This is the absolute worst company i…
This is the absolute worst company i ever had to deal with. Absolutely incompetent staff, waiting times on the phone are at least 2.5hs - there's usually 49-69 people in the waiting line and when after 2.5hs you get to someone on the line they are absolutely useless and they can only check for "two dates" and ask you to call again - and spend another 2.5hs of your day - waiting for the queue to go down. I deeply regret purchasing a ticket through them as airlines ask you to go through them for any issues and it is close to impossible to get answers or help from them. Absolutely USELESS and I'm actually surprise this company has not been taken down by regulators.

Horrible service and I still don’t know what’s happened.
They had a schedule change/cancellation from the airline so they offered me either to cancel my return flight from Venice to Sydney or to change it to another day but the new itinerary plan was 40 hrs instead of 25.
I choose that option anyway for don’t loose the flight. After that, I called them and asked to find a better option for me (willing to pay the different fee for it). They found a better flight option so I asked them to change my itinerary to that. For the change I was require to pay a fee which I paid straight away.
I receive then an email confirmation with my new flight time. Although I didn’t received a new ticket or any further confirmation from the company and when I was going on them website or the company website that I was supposed to fly with, my flight schedule was still the old one.
I waited couple of days but still nothing. From the 6 of May till now (20 of May) I called them every day and I spent at least an hour every day on the phone with them. None of the many people I got transferred to were been able to answer me of why my flight wasn’t change yet. The only answer I was receiving ( after being transfer at least 3 times in 3 different departments where I needed to re-explain the entire thing over and over) the answer was: “the support team will definitely contact you within 24 hrs and they will definitely send you your new ticket. Unfortunately we can’t do anything on our end”. Long story short NO ONE ever contacted me, my flight isn’t changed, I’m leaving on Monday with my old itinerary and I still don’t know for what I paid for. I’m so disappointed and shocked of this service that I don’t even know what to say. Oh yeah last time I called after the 5th person they transferred me to the line “accidentally” got cut! 🤣 what a JOKE!
