We are a family run independent training provider based in Bolton in the Northwest. We have over 43 years experience of working within the Police, Prison and Private Security Industries and have delivered learning programmes for thousands of learners. We provide learning programmes from Level 1 to Level 7 in various sectors including First Aid, Security, Licensing, Hospitality, Functional Skills and Management. We specialise in the Security sectors with Security Officer, Door Supervisor, Close protection, CCTV, CViT, Handcuffs and Stewarding qualifications being offered from our Approved and Accredited training centre in Bolton. We also now deliver the brand new Security Refreshers as from the 1st October 2024. We are friendly and helpful, and we offer free advice and guidance where required. We also have tutors, assessors and Internal Quality Assurers on site to ensure that quality and standards are raised and maintained.

SIA Top Up course at Nationwide Academy
I recently completed my SIA course at Nationwide Academy Ltd, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the experience.
The course was well-structured, informative, and delivered in a way that made everything easy to understand.
A special thank you to our tutor, Julie Booth, who was absolutely fantastic throughout. Julie was knowledgeable, approachable, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure everyone in the class felt confident and supported. Her teaching style made even the more complex topics engaging and clear.
I’d highly recommend Nationwide Academy to anyone looking to complete their SIA training. A professional, friendly environment with excellent support from start to finish.

Exelent SIA courses
I have attended this course with nationwide academy 3 times over the last nine years, every course has been exelent and the course teachers are very professional and brilliant. I would recommend a course with nationwide academy to anyone.

I did Door supervision …
I did Public space surveillance training 2025 ending and did my level 3 Emergency First Aid training and Level 2 Door supervision in 2026. It is an amazing experience in a serene environment

Just had my Sia refresher with Julie…
Just had my Sia refresher with Julie and pill ,this is the second visit to them and again it was great, Julie took the course monitored by Phill they make you feel relaxed and at home and are really professional with a bit of fun thrown in😎. I hope I will be revisiting them in 2029 and would recommend them to anyone who needs any SIA training

A great training experience
A great training experience, course was delivered professionally and with fun. The trainers delivery of the course shows she has professional knowledge and real world experience. From booking to completing, always on hand, clear instructions sent for ID and course completion details of what’s needed, when arrived was greeted very well, the day was great with friendly professional trainers, everything throughout the day was explained clearly, will be booking direct with them for my next course

Nice and laid back
Julie and Phil were both very approachable and down to earth which helps take the stress out of the learning and exam environment.
Each topic and practical was explained well making it easy to understand and therefore pass the exams.
