While the shipping charges go to actual freight costs, the handling helps cover packaging materials and the expenses of handling smaller orders which do not cover these expenses. However, compared to other custom-made connectivity manufacturers, our lead times of between 2 and 4 weeks are much faster. You are correct to say we are the only place to get them in the US, and there's a reason for this: they're unique, labor intensive and not a mass market product. Our XLR adapters are built in house, on Neutrik connectors, which as we're sure you know, are of the best quality.
