Avoid like the plague.
Despite being told at least twice that my order has been posted, I've still received nothing. My item was supposedly in their warehouse at the start of March and was definitely, positively going to be posted next day delivery, still nothing on the 3rd of May. Being charitable, this outfit is completely incompetent. The more cynical would say that they take your money, give false promises and then refuse to respond to emails.
I can completely understand the difficulties that the company have faced recently, but to lie regarding stock availability and postage at least twice is absolutely beyond the pale. I thought that I'd give a small company a chance (I order an ungodly amount of Star Wars ephemera), but I certainly won't make the same mistake again.
Update: still no response, so I've reported them to Trading Standards.
Update #2: Jason eventually got in touch with the usual excuses and said that he'd definitely, positively pay me the refund yesterday. Surprisingly, it never materialised. Luckily, on the same day, I received an email from trading standards asking for more details regarding my claim against the scammer.
Update #3: Another email, another excuse, another promise to send the refund definitely, positively as soon as he gets home. Unless he lives in Hong Kong, he's lying again.
Save Your Money and Look Elsewhere
I've put off writing this review as I don't like to give negative feedback to small genuine businesses but I've just ran out of patience and confidence I will get my refund by normal means, Similar tale as many below. Pre ordered last year and since haver had nothing but excuses about delays. Finally requested a refund which Jason processed butwas rejected by Paypal on 2 separate occaisions. I even passed over my bank details as Jason was having trouble with Paypal and was told a refund would be arranged. Still nothing. Jason finally responded to tell me that Paypal was up and running again but that was over a week ago and I'm just getting ghosted now. I now have to spend more time looking into how I can get more money back. Lesson learned. Don't leave it over 6 months to take action with paypal and also stick to the main retailers. Bad form Jason and Nerd Toys!

Ordered 15th April 23' not preorder, items in stock according to website. Meant to be next day delivery with dpd...nothing...contacted told it would be sent out last week....still nothing...contacted again...no response....contacted again....awaiting response. After reading reviews I'm guessing the response may not be forthcoming. Granted I haven't been waiting as long as some but I'm much less patient when it states next day delivery....processing time sure....but over 2 weeks? No, unacceptable service, little to no communication, as a first time user of the site....it shall be my last and I will warn everyone to stay away.
Used to be ok, now vastly downhill
I’ve ordered from them in the past successfully but now their service is terrible. I’ve requested a refund for an item ordered last August that hasn’t come. They’ve granted me a refund, cancelled it while it was processing and now their email address is offline, and nobody is responding to their secondary email address. On top of this PayPal won’t even let me open up a dispute for the money they’ve stolen, do not trust them with your money.

Ordered May 2022 and by March this year still hadn't received anything. Messaged the company and straight away received a message from Jason to phone him. Very productive call. Jason explained about the difficulties he's had recently and apologised for the huge delay. True to his word my parcel arrived 4 days later including a free gift which was very much appreciated by my son. Thank you Jason.

I preorder a Hulk figure back December, it was due in January 2023. I haven’t chased Nerd UK as I wasn’t desperate for the figure. Unfortunately I found the figure at my local comic shop recently and purchased it there. Emailed Nerd Uk for a refund and received it within 3 working, no hassle, no fuss. Thanks Jason for the speedy reply and refund. Much appreciated

Ordered something Jan ‘22, by August I was fed up of waiting for them to ship so asked for a refund. April ‘23 and they still haven’t refunded me, terrible service.

unacceptable way to run a business
have been waiting on numerous items from seller that have never arrived (money taken though) have sent 40 plus emails since January of this year with scattered responses saying items were being sent and apologies (excuses) for delays. even received a confirmation from dpd a month ago to say they were awaiting seller to send them the items but DPD state they never received them. was told this past weekend items would be sent out again. no confirmation and radio silence on their emails (when they even go through)
unfortunately feels like they have scammed me.
from the other reviews on here it seems they have done it too many others.

Ordered 1/6 scale Jason figure on pre-order. Other websites now have it but not nerdtoys. Have sent several e-mails over the past few weeks and been told each time that it will be sent the following week. Still nothing. Really poor service.

Honestly, I have tried many times to give Jason the benefit of the doubt. It's just come to the point that I can't do that any more. He has give various reasons as to why I haven't recieved my order. This has been going on for over 6 months now, maybe thats more fool me. In stock items I have had to email and ask to get sent out(Hi, I've paid for this, any chance I can have it...is not how I think transactions should go), dealing with wrong stock sent out, emails being ignored, refunds not been issued (it's illegal to keep deposits by the way, check government website on that) He said he was going to give an update on his store on Tues 18th april on the stores facebook page, well, it's now Friday and nothing, plus comments have been locked. Emails suddenly stop working, or monitored, or replied too, I don't know, pick one, it will apply no matter what. I've had these problems for 6 months now, easily. I've cancelled all orders with the shop, as I really don't need the hassle, and thats a shame, as it used to be a very good store. Sadly I also paid through partial.ly so any chance of chasing up money is now gone. It's easy to read down the comments from the past 6 months and see this is a sadly now common problem, and whilst I do fully understand life and it's problems get in the way, at the same time, well...
Please don't get me wrong, some stock has been sent, some refunds have been issued, but it's been a constant struggle to get to that point, that's not how things should be.
EDIT : So some vague update about getting things back on track and yet another premises move during the last week in April, but as of yet, still refuses to reply to any emails. It's beyond a joke now. Bit hard to come back "bigger and better" when you've absolutely tanked your reputation. avoid at all costs.
DON’T SHOP HERE
Was excited to find Nerd Toys and order my first hot toys figure which I had saved up to buy for £360. Unfortunately, the experience has been awful. Constantly had to email to try to get any information at all about my order, always with an excuse why there’s been no updates. It’s now it’s now a year and 3 months since I ordered the figure that was due back in October. Now emails are bouncing back. I’m afraid it seems like a scam and I’m trying to figure out how to get my money back.

I pre ordered a 1/4 predator cancelled it because it was taken to long .so I asked for a refund he refunded me through PayPal I did not get it refund didn't complete i emailed nerd toys about my refund email address not found this happened a lot still haven't received my refund. Please don't bye from this man . He takes your money and don't refund you .
Delayed order - empty promises
16th April - I have been asking for an update for over a month now on a pre-order that was due to be shipped in January. - The figures are in stock at other retailers.
Update: Received a reply. The items will be shipped this week. I will update this review later this week.
Update: 12th May 2023 - Despite several promises my order has still not been shipped. Plus again, the replies to emails have stopped.

I've ordered from Nerd Toys before, always good. My last order was a pre order, for which the product was advised to ship in March. I've had nothing dispatched, payment taken and now my email address has been blocked and my emails are bouncing back.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I placed an order in late October/early November for 2 predators and 1 gremlin for my son’s Christmas. I had to continually chase with no response. First time I got any sort of reply was when I wrote to them to tell them I would report them as fraud to my bank. This was about 3 weeks before Christmas. They said they could send 1 predator and 1 gremlin, but they were waiting for stock of the second predator and had been hoping to ship them all together. They promised to send out the stock they did have early that week. They did offer to refund the gremlin as a goodwill gesture which was appreciated at the time. However, they didn’t send them until the end of the following week, meaning I had to go and buy new presents for my son on Christmas Eve. I still haven’t received the 2nd predator and they’re ignoring all my emails. Please keep in mind this was ordered in late October early November, it’s now February. I appreciate the delivery dates aren’t concrete but at least respond to emails. I hate having to send frustrated emails. I’ve tried to get help from Nerd Toys so many times and they’re just completely ignoring me now. So I feel I have no choice but to leave this review to either encourage them to help me or save someone else from the stress of ordering from this business.
Update Please be aware, I first posted this review 2 months ago. I was contacted by email from the owner. He offered to help but only if I took the review down. He has not helped. He promised me a refund of all the order, no refund has been received. He promised to send out the missing item. It has not been sent.
I think the fact the company is only willing to help you if you remove a review says a lot.
I have kept every correspondence relating to my purchases and I’m happy to share this with anyone who wishes to read to authenticate my experience.

I had pre ordered an item back in august 2022 and had emailed in January asking when they would be shipped was told that it would be shipped in 2 weeks nothing had came so emailed again in February and didn’t get a reply till March 18th saying would be shipped Friday and now 3 weeks later still don’t have this item

This an updated review to my previous one which still at the end of this update, if interested.
Attempted to cancel last remaining preorders due to recent issues highted by other recent reviews. I did not get any response from Jason this time but after several weeks I managed to get PayPal, Partially Pay and my credit card company to step in and process full refunds. All three also issued a block on Nerd accessing any payments in the future.
From other very recent reviews it appears perhaps my gut instinct may have been right to block Nerd from accessing my payments means, as others have stated, after they repeatedly requested a cancellation of their very delayed pre-order, also receiving no response as did I, they were eventually informed by their bank that NERD appeared to have made several attempts from to access full payment from the same source that they initially used to process the deposit with. If this is true then wow! Nerd now appears to have established a history of taking full payments from others, whilst still not fulfilling their side of the transaction of sending out any pre-order with client being left in limbo for over a year to 18 months by which time PayPal will not step in, only to leave the client screwed.
If the others reviews are correct then my initial instincts were too. Real shame because Jason was a good guy to buy from initially. Whatever the reason it appears he has taken many customers money and not fulfilled his side of the transaction and I only got mine due to PayPal, Partially Pay and my credit card stepping in when eventually I had enough of waiting for any response to my messages. My card company even informed me at the time that NERD had already quite a few concerned marks building against them against them, hence the reason they immediately sided with me. I only wish the others reviewers luck in their refunds.

Unfortunately, NERD has had a tough time of late due to illness and PayPal making it difficult for NERD to operate by withholding too much of the funds from Nerd. PayPal's justification is to protect the customer in case of the customer needs a refund due a cancelled order either by the said customer or retailer. Jason, the owner of NERDS had trouble with a couple of my pre-orders when I wanted to cancel them, whereby I was happy to accept the refund minus the 10% deposit that you lose if you, as the customer are the one that initiated the cancellation. Well, he attempted to process the refunds, whilst graciously giving me the full 100% and PayPal made it difficult. I could see this through my PayPal account page, where it showed the refunds had been initiated by NERD as expected, only for PayPal to stop it themselves after 5 days. I know this after a phone conversation with PP direct. Jason has now seen me right and the refunds came through by a slightly different means. Thanks Jason, Really appreciated.
I know some of the recent review are harsh but please give him some leeway. I know when a retailer is taking the Michael and when they’re not. Jason, NERD, has tried his best, eventually setting everything right. To keep things simpler again, I wouldn’t be surprised if he only accepts credit card payment in the future due to PayPal’s overzealous behaviour towards small businesses. Either way a customer rights are protected via credit card anyway and the retailer gets the funds to actually process orders and run a business, instead of sitting in PayPal’s accounts collecting interest.
Anyway, I still find NERD a good retailer, one who cares for his customers and I’m certain they’ll be back to normal, if not better once the PayPal situ is done and dusted.

A good small business that has had a…
A good small business that has had a tough time of late, but now starting to get back on its feet. Had a number of figures on preorder which I knew would cause a bit of a delay, but now had them delivered. The owner had an issue with DPD but made sure I got the figures as soon as he was able to via the Post Office. This is the only store I use, and look forward to some more future orders.
