Placed and order Sept 22 and despite…

Placed and order Sept 22 and despite multiple attempts to contact them, they have not replied. Still have no item but they have my money. I’ve questioned whether this is a scam company. Unfortunately I didn’t use PayPal or credit so have been unable to get a refund this way. Avoid this company at all costs

Update (May 23) - An email from Jason stating he’s been ill but my order would be posted. Now 3 weeks since this email, ignoring further emails so am now contacting Trading Standards. Thankfully I have not lost a huge amount compared to others.

Avoid at all cost

Avoid at all cost. Once a great place to buy merchandise, now for some reason they’re just not fulfilling orders, taken peoples money and not delivering on items. Absolutely zero communication, dispute trying to email, messenger and phone. Please don’t waste your money.
UPDATE: I finally received my item and was given reasons for the delays. Thanks for sorting this out.

Sadly this company was great but not anymore

Sadly this company was great. Always put the customer first. But sadly since they have moved to their new premises they have gone down hill very fast. I have quite a few fully paid orders that I have never received. When I contact Jason I feel that I just get the run around as this has been going on for months now. Would I recommend this company.....NO Never! Especially when there are other companies out there ready to ship. Have now contacted the fraud department of my bank and recommend any one else who has the same issues do the same and talk to your banks fraud department. Do not buy from this company.

Update: I've received refunds for orders not received. Thanks to Nerd Toys for sorting this issue.

I’ve been waiting on multiple orders from Nerd Toys since September. I have received one order, initially I was told it would be shipping in November, I contacted again in January and was told it would be shipping in the next two weeks and I’d be getting a 10% refund. The order arrived a month later with no refund. The remaining orders I’m trying to cancel to get a refund but communication isn’t very good. I understand that Nerd Toys doesn’t have control over supplier issues and pre-orders can take longer than expected but communication is key, and this is where Nerd Toys disappoints. There have been excuses, delays in responding, empty promises and sometimes no reply at all. Unfortunately, for this reason, I would not recommend.

Nerd Toys have sorted it.

Was initially impressed with the efficiency of Nerd Toys.
Unfortunately I had to cancel an order. Jason email me a week or so ago to say that a full refund had been given. I did not initially receive this refund and was very concerned.
However, after a number of emails to and from Jason it became apparent that the refund had bounced back to Nerd Toys.
It was re-issued and the money is now in my bank account.

Very unfair, refunds can take around 5 working days to clear and processed ahead of our stated refund terms.

Good company

I've done business more than a half dozen times with this company and have had a positive experience in all but a single instance and that instance was an issue with the supplier, rather than Nerd Toys. They refunded me for that issue, so I have nothing but good things to say about them.

Happy customer

Update , been contacted and received full refund today and the offer of a free figure to be posted out to me , so although not originally happy I can’t have any complaints with the response from nerdtoys , will update again if I receive the free figure

Received confirmation of free figure being shipped out to me , which is honourable from nerdtoys as I’ve already been refunded in full and received an apology so the free figure is above and beyond expectations

Further update received figure in mint condition, many thanks nerdtoys

Don't buy from them anymore! Out of business!

FINAL UPDATE: That's it... Never heard back from them and, as like others, lost some money... In my case, it was something around 70£ but I did got 2 figures for free at some point, so my loss would be down to 30£ or so... far from ideal, but still not as bad as some of the others impacted by this Jason...

UPDATE: Managed to get in touch with Jason and got a refund for one of my orders but still waiting for another refund as there was an issue with PayPal on his side! Gave 3-star for now as he's been really supportive and appreciate the freebies! Still, would like to have the refund pending processed. Thanks!

Same as the previous user, have placed 2 orders in 2022 (1 in April and another in July so no chance of requesting my money back via PayPal!) After some attempts to contact them last year, they got back saying they were moving warehouses, etc... also, one of the products hasn't arrived yet... that was the last time I heard from them and since then, not a word! Have tried to call and email them, still no response!!! I can see others have used them in the past but I would never place an order with them again and I just hope I get some of my items or my money back!!!

Promised the world but unable to deliver. (updated)

Had ordered many a time from them and had no problems whatsoever. However, roll on 2022, Ordered the following;

Studio 86 Dinobot Sludge
Legacy Elita 1
Legacy Knockout

Nothing arrived even though the figures are sold online on amazon uk by Jan 2023. Sent multiple emails and had assurances that item will be sent but nothing arrived.

I then proceeded to raise a resolution case within paypal but as it has been half a year since I ordered it (Sludge in this case) the case was automatically dismissed and I lost £53.99.

Once bitten twice shy, I proceeded to open a case for the 2 other products that i pre-ordered in Nov 2022 but not arrived till now and managed to recover £38.98 fortunately.

I can provide all email correspondences and paypal transactions to support my case if there is any doubt.

I for one will not be ordering from them ever again.

UPDATE - 16th Feb 2023
Jason (owner of the company i believe) has issued a refund as well as shipped the outstanding figure to me. I did mention that I was just after the refund but he said that he also wanted to go over and beyond and send me what I have ordered as well.

I have updated the review to 4 star, minus one because of the overall bad experience I have which I think is fair.

Overall, i think these issues could have been avoided if very early on, all communications have been clear ie unable to fulfill order and refunding straight away. Perhaps another way forward is for the customer to make a deposit and pay the rest when the stock is ready to send?

Anyway, glad this is over and done with and all the best to NerdToys in their future endeavors.

We had emailed before this review was posted and made a offer to resolve the issue caused during my recent time out sick and Hasbros terrible shipping, he has not been scammed at all and a quick email would have resolved the PayPal issue. Elvin please see emails on this and get back to me, you will come out of this happy.
Dates are as listed an estimate not a set date and going forward we have suspended new pre-orders for Hasbro product and will only list on arrival as distribution is all over the place with them.

There was a issue with the order number at start of process (a typo on our part) and was informed we was off sick, refund was within the terms and conditions of the payment plan agreed but despite that was 100% not 90% and both items clearly stated dates are an estimate and subject to change without warning, no UK retailer had stock before Xmas. Refund has also been sent ahead of what our site terms and conditions state and a goodwill gesture also sent. We are sorry we could not make things better for Lesley on this order but some things are out of our control.

Nerd toys are diabolical, just don't do it!

Nerd toys are diabolical! Sadly I will never use this business again. I'm sure they will reply to this review (as I have seen they have to others) with a sarcastic unapologetic comment, which gives you an idea of their attitude and level of customer service! Unfortunately I have spent a lot of money with them, however my pre-orders have been an absolute nightmare!
Firstly they 'claimed' to have sent me emails to say my order was ready. I never received these, months and I mean months passed by, so I looked into this. No proof of these were ever sent and I've seen on other reviews people have had the same issue.
I chased this soo many times via email, phone, instant chat etc and I was ignored, outright ignored! So several phones calls later, all the while they placed the blame on me, they said they had 'found' my figures and would send them, they were paid in full. Weeks went passed and no figures arrived. I contacted them and he blamed his colleague, saying he was 'going to kill him'!! Poor guy! Sounds like a fun guy to work with, similar level of attitude to his colleague as his customers!
My figures arrived eventually and one of the figures was duplicated and therefore one was missing. I rang immediately and he said he needed proof as didn't believe me, I sent photos. Then he said I needed to send it back and he'd 'look into it'. I went on their website and the figure that I pre-ordered that I was missing, was the only one out of stock! What a coincidence!
I gave up in the end and cut my losses. This company are the definition of all things wrong in the world of customer service. No apology and a horrible attitude. Please save yourself the stress and being blamed on the phone for their mistakes. Never pre-order either! Avoid for your own sanity.

Edit. we have again emailed asking for the photos proving the issue and asked for more into here and they are ignoring us as they did on payments for several months.

As always more to the story, Ruth was asked to send a photo of the claimed issue, we are still waiting and have checkedour inbox usingthe order email, nothing. Also they paid for their order many months late and as such their order should have been cancelled and on that we have nothing to be sorry for. We have emailed multiple times and held stock way past an acceptable time and replied to emails and answered calls in office hours. If Ruth would like to send the photos as discussed we will fix the issue, can't do much without.
As for so sold out we only have a set amount and we are able to send the missing figure but simply require a photo showing the doubles to action.
I will ad the last few weeks has been a nightmare due to having to move locations but all done now and a quick call would resolve this and despite move our phone was available during this time.

Another great experience again

Another great experience again. Had a massive order which was sorted and packed professionally. So happy to see that they still are looking after you with packing your collections right. Great communication telling me that was would be dispatched and should arrive with me on given date. Love shopping here feel like a regular at an online place which is really special.
