Save your money! If you're an individual like me trying to suppress misinformation published by the DOJ or news outlets, don’t bother with NetReputation. The quality of their work was underwhelming, and their efforts to suppress front-page results were ineffective. Not a single thing they created is on the first page of search.

One of the main reasons I chose NetReputation over competitors was the partner sites they claimed to work with. But when it came time to publish the articles, they used obscure websites that I—and likely most people—had never heard of (Storify, Issuu and 66fa43472c93a.site123.me). This was a major departure from the reputable partner sites they initially mentioned.

They also promised I’d receive login information for all profiles they created, along with detailed guidance on how to update my website at the end of the campaign. They didn’t follow through—I had to ask for this information myself.

Another concern: they asked for the passwords to my social media accounts, despite the fact that these accounts were never used or needed for anything. This felt unnecessary and raised some red flags.

Also, at one point I tested their transparency by asking if they could help take down some sites because it's something a competitor had mentioned. They never brought up taking down sites but I had heard that one particular legal documents site could be taken down if you message them. I asked about this and they said it'd cost extra. Unbeknownst to them, I already reached out to the website and they took it down for free.

You're better off spending the money on doing something meaningful and fun (travel abroad, concert, flip a house, etc.) then blogging about it. You can then create multiple posts about your experience on sites like Substack and Medium, and social media platforms like Instagram (Reels) and TikTok. Leverage GenAI as needed to create the posts. In the blog posts, make sure to add links to all your social media profiles, and you can also link your other blogs. Run Meta and Google Ad campaigns, boost your socials media posts, etc.

Learn from my experience. This is, and was not, worth the expense. Again, this pertains to me as an individual, I can't speak to their work for businesses.
