Lovely exhibits .Map was useless to follow. Not impressed with lack of interactive opportunities. Appreciate it's a museum first but more hands on interactive things for children would be lovely. Signage not that good we had to ask for directions often. We wouldn't go again

I tried to book tickets for an upcoming event but it didn’t work, the first link they sent wasn’t working, the second link they sent I had to wait 30 min to have access… after more than 2h later, all the tickets are sold out.

Pokemon event booking system is a complete farce.

My kids love to visit the museum and find it a ton of fun - especially visiting the dinosaur exhibit with the animatronic T-Rex.

Main issue is the crowds during peak periods - I wonder if the museum should put in place a mandatory charge for visitors who are not UK resident. Would help with the crowds and address any funding issues…

The ventilation was terrible it was hard to breathe, and after just 10 minutes I had to leave because I was freaking out.
The heat was so intense you couldn’t even focus on or look at anything properly. To many people there!

The museum building itself is a work of art, a grand neo-Gothic structure with intricate detailing and natural world stone carvings. The Natural History Museum in London is a truly awe-inspiring destination, I fully recommend spending day in this such inspirational building.

I have loved this museum since I was a child , however I visited it last week and what on earth has happened chunks of exhibits replaced for green screen pictures that are £16 for a print out, half the dinos missing or up out of sight as you no longer use the walkway to reach the animated rex more shops & cafes than exhibits and being begged for donations every where you look, even the wildlife photographer of the year exhibition was a bit underwhelming having less photos than previous years.

No longer having Dippy in the main hall as you go in removes that "wow" moment when you would enter and be confronted by a giant, now its 15 signs asking for donations and a whale skeleton that hangs high above.

And if you do decide to go into one of the gift shops they are messy poorly maintained with empty shelves and if you were looking for a dinosaur you can find very few accurate models but lots of buckets of them that you would see similar quality models of at Poundland, for example the brachiosaurus model they had it looks more like a cheap movie monster from a Harry Hamlin film.

It's really a MUST DO when in London, so since I live here and being very interested in dinosaurs and the steps of human civilisation through history, I decided to go and see for myself. Despite the heavy crowds that made the experience a bit more stressful than I expected, the museum itself is absolutely interesting and filled with archaeological recoveries. There were some hiccups with some of the interactive bits and it's my personal opinion that the dinosaur part could be better organised, but all in all, I enjoyed it. I would say "avoid the weekends" but being central London I'm pretty sure it's fully packed every day of the week, so just prepare yourself to be waiting in line at times. All good though.

The Museum is amazing the only problem was it was rammed full.I was going from the one zone into another and the corridor was a mass of people coming towards me I couldn’t move forward and just had to try and stand still hoping for a gap. All said and done it was a Saturday I will go again as I found it fascinating the Red zone with the earthquake simulation and Volcanoes are brilliant.I will return as we didn’t get round it all as you couldn’t move around because it was so full.

APPALLING - customer service, (Garden Kitchen Cafe -training needed there... RUDE girl server -middle part bob hair)

POOR display/layout of plaster dinosaurs. And pointless & unrelated events are held such as "Silent Discos" (???!) What's happened to that place...? (deep sigh)

WISH... I could bring back the old management, and bring it back to how it was, and should remain...

It's now over-priced... underwhelming... and rude staff. Utterly appalling.

My husband bought me a Christmas jumper from their shop. The confirmation email didn’t include the tracking number, which was frustrating, but we were able to call customer support, which was wonderful.

I recently had a negative experience with Nintendo (who I have always been a fan of, and was very badly let down). Interacting with NHM’s customer service was like night and day. The man helping me had a lovely voice, he sounded very kind, patient, and eager to help. He was able to provide a tracking number, and also checked it for us while we were on the line.

You can’t guarantee that nothing will go wrong with ecommerse, and having a solid, easily contactable customer service line is invaluable. I loved the jumper too- thanks a lot!

There are many interesting things to see, and you don't have to pay. I went on a week day in september. The dinosaur and whale areas were busy, not a surprise really, and the whale room was very warm. The evolution, solar system, and minerals areas were good, and less busy. Two other points. When you get into the entrance hall at the start, there are no maps to show the layout of the building. It would help if there were maps in the hall, which is a large empty area. There were also no staff in the hall to help when l was there. Also, if you look at the front entrance of the building from the road, you can't actually enter there, as there is a metal fence along the whole front of the building, so you need to walk on the pavement to the far right hand corner of the fence, where you enter the gardens. Many people get confused by it

It was just a building with old stuff mostly rocks to look at. No interactive things worked, extremely overcrowded, we were told that only a certain amount were allowed in at a time. The dinosaur exhibit was awful . The gardens were the best bit. Im glad it was free as i wouldnt have paid. Edinburgh is much better

Awesome day out! Free entry got the kids ViP packs which they loved would deffo recommend

This was an experience I wanted to share with my children. It was HORRENDOUS!
I suffer from DVT and walking for long periods can sometimes be troublesome. I googled accessibility before our visit and was ensure there were plenty of benches / resting places.
We sat down on a few chairs at the top of a large flight of stairs due to the above and was told to leave, that we could not be here. She was extremely rude, i tried to explain about needing to rest but she said no, we needed to go.

obvious over crowding, screaming toddlers that were running & rolling around on the floor.. it was just a terrible time.

We didn't donate due to this.

Haven’t been for 20 years or so, came with my daughter and mum. Def pre book, walked straight in which was great but then met with a swarm of people and made it really hot and unable to see a lot of the exhibits. Left after a couple of hours. Just way too many people.

Came here on a day trip, after my littlest son fell in love with Andy's Dino adventures.
Pre-booked entry and it was a really simple entry without having to queue up.
Started in the cafe, and apart from the price of the cakes, I actually found their prices reasonable, And very good quality.
We only wanted to visit the dinosaur part this time, and it was really interesting. Very hot and over crowded through, a lots of people who seemed to ignore there being children that wanted to take part with the T rex exhibit, like others have said and actually pathway to follow may be a suitable idea.

Also the staff taking the photos were really nice, not trying to do the big oversell that is normal, but a nice selection of digital downloads and a real nice photo.

Will definitely come again, to see the rest

I spent an entire day there. It is an amazing museum with a lot of great things to look at, including whale skeletons hanging from the ceiling and dinosaurs.

It is incredible and the best museum I have ever visited. You easily spend 4+ hours there even without reading the signs.

Worth every penny . Spent all day and I still couldn't get enough. Family loved it.
