Museo adatto solo a famiglie con bambini piccoli!!

Very interesting, my 3rd visit but my grandchildren’s first and even at 10 and 14 years old, they were both in awe. Staff friendly again too

I agree with reviewers who have expressed their disappointment with rude and abrupt staff at the NHM. The woman working in the cafe nearest to the main entrance was very rude and abrupt She made our time there uncomfortable by banging chairs and tables constantly Surely they can seep the floors without making a racket or after customers have left for the day. The food and the coffee was as cold as the staff
A pity that our family day was ruined by poor service at the NHM. I recommend avoiding a visit if you want a happy day.

We went to the Natural History Museum in Tring, Hertfordshire, and it is amazing. So many unusual animals to see (including some extinct!). This museum is well worth the journey to Tring for adults and older kids. Very young children might find the animals a little scary, and it's not an ideal destination for anyone who is a little squeamish about taxidermy, but other than that it's a fantastic and educational museum. Highly recommended.

I can't believe I've never visited it. Plus, it's FREE.

It is perfect for children, but also for adults!
I loved it and will definitely go back next time I'm in London, also because this time I was in a hurry. I entered from the side entrance, so as soon as I entered I found this huge escalator that was really fascinating.

What amazed me was the "Kobe Supermarket" where the disastrous Kobe earthquake that my family experienced was simulated. (January 17, 1995)

Far too many people admitted on the last day of half term, spent almost the entire visit shoulder-to-shoulder with other visitors. I dread to think what would have happened in an emergency situation!
My children couldn't possibly enjoy any exhibits as they were all swarmed with people and unreachable.

What was the point in booking a time slot if so, so many people were also allowed to do so? Something went seriously wrong this week and the temperature inside was just unbearable.

Upon leaving, there were still HUGE queues, at two separate entrances, with a constant flow of new arrivals.

Overall an extremely unpleasant experience and upon reflection, potentially very dangerous.

Such a a fantastic experience. The kids loved it and I was really impressed too.

Captivating experience and building, one of my favourites in London.

It’s just an amazing experience, I have been visiting since the 80s and it never fails to impress.We rented Boris bikes from Queensway and then after a lovely ride through Hyde Park, arrived at the NHM and straight away began to enjoy the visit even more and as my grandson entered the grand doors of the museum his face showed it’s a completely different world.
Even the cafe was offering a decent respite we can only give it 5 stars,

Really enjoyed a day out here. Not too busy and best of all free!!

Fantastic and free event for the kids who really enjoyed it.

Of course the museum and the collection is an amazing experience to visit and see. But avoid staying till closing time...

We have noticed on a few occasions when entering the museum that some staff are abrupt and a bit rude. We never paid much notice to it till now. On this occasion we stayed till closing time. As soon as the 'museum is now closed' anouncement was made on the PA system we immediately started making our way out of the room. Despite seeing us make our way out, a staff member in the room rudely asked us to leave at once in an angry voice. We ignored this. As we were exiting the museum we took our little child to the toilet since we have a long journey back (this usually takes just a few minutes). However once in the cubicle a staff member came around and started banging on each door in turn shouting that the museum is closing.. our child started crying and then was too scared to use the toilet. This was the last straw prompting me to leave my first ever trustpilot review. Sigh.

A stark contrast to the science museum where we have on the whole encountered friendly and enthusiastic staff who often go the extra mile to help us.

I love this museum, one of my favourites. Even though I've seen most of it countless times, I still really enjoy going. I managed to go in-between lockdowns and can't wait for this one to be over so I can go again.

From my experience December 2017:

First I think I need to start off by saying, you really cannot just spend one afternoon here if you want to take in the sheer amount of exhibits available. It is absolutely amazing.

The museum has free entry but some limited time exhibits do have a cost and require tickets to be purchased. But as said previously there is so much to see you can miss these out of you want and still have an amazing time. There are interactive displays such as in the section about volcanoes and earthquakes- you stand in a section that recreates an earthquake that happened in Asia.

You could easily go every weekend for months and focus on one exhibit at a time and still spend hours here. It’s a great place for kids and the gift shops are pretty cool, expensive but good in there merchandise.

There is a cafe as well that offers a good selection. I can personally recommend the gingerbread cookie.

I would definitely take my children in future. Definitely worth the visit.

Everytime you think you have seen everything another area appears, make sure you go down all the corridors and dont miss anything

One of the greatest experiences in London, and certainly the most beautiful building in the city. The Museum successfully brings its rich heritage and history to bear while also being an exciting and modern organisation with a wealth of informative and entertaining outlets.

The Membership benefits are also very fulfilling, and Orla in the Memberships team was able to help with an enquiry with utmost speed, efficiency and friendliness, a real credit to the team. I hope the NHM continues to thrive as an organisation for this and future generations of the world to engage with.

One of the best museum I have been to and one of the best attractions I attended whilst in th UK. It is a very fascinating-wow experience! It didnt take long to get into the museum. Lots to learn here about history. Huge selection to look at, I spent most of the day in the building.

Great day out I would really recommend lots to see & do.
A must for all young & old.

This is one of the best places i've visited in the capital. I love taking my kids here and it certainly has lots of marvelous and wonderful artifacts. In the current environmental climate, this place just makes you realise exactly how wonderful and amazing our world is, and how insignificant those daily woes actually are in the grand scheme of things.

One of the best museum in the world 🌍 Absolutely fascinating! During the week it was fine to get in straight way, and on my last visit on Saturday I got a queue, which does not bother us because was moving fast 🙏🏻.
There are lot of things to see, from dinosaurs 🦕, minerals, mammals.... incredible history. It is a huge building 🤩 I have been there twice and still lots to see.
There are lots of history for every taste, and age. Highly recommended. Honestly no one will be disappointed there.
The cafe was quite busy, nevertheless We got something to eat and had a place to sit down. 👍🏻👍🏻
