Jonathan and Jade were a pleasure to work with.

They were recommended by a builder from whom I wanted to buy a house. More or less, I was forced a bit into using them. While the initial affordability check for the house reservation was fast, the following steps were an utter disappointment through and through. Main issues: security and lack of contact. They are asking for very sensitive information, but they don't have a system to gather the information - they ask you to send your documents to a general email address in the company. From a company such as this, I would expect a secure portal with a dedicated account to upload your sensitive documents securely. I provided the documents by email, but they told me their system rejected my password-protected ZIP file, so I needed to password-protect every single document, which was annoying, time-consuming and unnecessary if they had the system mentioned earlier or at least accepted my secured file.
Now, the stalling and avoiding started. In my case, an advisor named Callum didn't reply to my email for days. When I called their main number, I was told he was away from the office, and no one else could help me. Then, when he came back, he told me to go to another broker as he had no idea when I would get my advice/mortgage offers. I wasted over 2 weeks since I provided the documents and got no mortgage offer or advice. Before the weekend of week 2, C. sent me an email saying he would contact me on Monday with an update. I don't have an update, so there was no reply to my email on Monday. The fellow was having a day off. There were some vague reassurances from his colleagues who answered the phone, saying they needed to contact the lenders and were taking their time, and C. did an excellent job with my application. I was done with them. I used my previous broker. Providing the same set of documents, I got my advice and offers within 2 days and two more days to get my mortgage application taken care of and submitted to the lender, which seemed impossible with New Homes Mortgages Scotland. I wasted time and was stressed, and I did not gain anything but a lesson never to use them again.

They have been nothing but brilliant since I started talking with them, being exceptionally helpful at sorting out my mortgage and finding all the accompanying services that I asked for.

Buying our first home, we didn't have a clue where to start! However, once we were put in touch with New Homes Mortgage Scotland via our house developer, we were instantly put at ease! Our mortgage adviser Helen was absolutely fantastic. She was knowledgeable, relatable and made us feel completely at ease about everything. As we moved further on in the process, Jade was fantastic! After reservation, Dean Jeffrey found the best mortgage and protection policies. After my application was submitted, Sian Ainger provided daily updates and submitted additional information the lender asked for. First time buying made easier with NHMS! We had the pleasure of dealing with Connor and Jade throughout this process.
