They bill a month in advance, and don't have that labeled anywhere but their refund policy. So! If you're a student that needs all of the $20 they can get, make sure to unsubscribe in November to avoid being charged again. Not only that, but when I put in a request for it, they said "We will also not be able to provide updates if the refund was approved or not." I feel like they should at least have an automated service to inform if it was approved or denied! They also don't have nearly as many correct answers as Chegg, and Chegg is cheaper than them. Not worth it.

UPDATED - Per Numerade's response. False, the Numerade staff did not confirm I would retain access for the paid month and not renew after. I have seen several reviews showing payments were still being paid. I will have to change my bank card to make sure my funds are not taken.

I canceled Numerade the first day I used it during the trial period. My bank account was still charged a monthly fee on day 8. I reached out to Numerade to resolve the issue and was told their policy does not allow refunds after 7 days if not cancelled online. Considering I only looked at the sight once. They should have honored my request for a refund. Upon looking at the BBB site. I see that I am not the only victim of this company. I just want my $19.99 back.

It’s literally the WORST service ever. The answers are often WRONG and not helpful at all. Additionally, I cancelled my subscription and they still charged me and never refunded me. No one ever should use this and I think that with this kind of behavior they will not exist for much longer.

Terrible Terrible customer service, well they don't have customer service, been trying to cancel for over 3 months, emails back and forth with what i wold say is a bot. Cant locate my account but still charging me. Would not even give then one star, but had to click something. I believe this is a scam or fraud or something do not recommend them at all. Looking at the other reviews. Either something changed or the 5 star ones are all plants to promote the scheme.

Terrible Customer Service. Refuse to refund me and there service they offer is terrible. It's a poor AI-generated steps to "try" to help you understand it. Waste of money and time. If they want a better review. They should change things up a little. That’s why Chegg is better. They immediately understood and refunded me the money. Because of that, I know I will go back to them. That’s the definition of good service.

Signed up for a free trial on 12/11/23. Cancelled free trial about 30 minutes later. Went through the page where they say “are you sure you want to cancel your trial? If you cancel you’ll lose access immediately”, clicked yes and it said my trial had been ended. Great, I took a screenshot and thought I was good to go! Nope. Looked at my bank account on 12/20/23 and saw I had been charged the monthly fee. Went to the site and it said my subscription was still active, despite having gone through the cancellation on 12/11/23 and being told I no longer had access to the paid content on the site. At this point I obviously went through the process of unsubscribing a second time so that I don’t get charged in future months.

Based on reviews and comments below, I am sure that Numerade will respond to this and say “We see you signed up on 12/11/23 and you didn’t self cancel until 12/20/23 so we can’t refund you”. I DID cancel on 12/11/23 and the site said my trial was cancelled! Why then did the cancellation on 12/11/23 not actually go through??

UPDATE: After seeing the response from Numerade to this post, I emailed them as requested. While I was skeptical based on the reviews and comments on TrustPilot, I was pleasantly surprised to get a very thorough response from Mary. Users should be weary of the cancellation process and make for absolute certain that their cancellation was processed if that is their intent. In the future, I hope that Numerade updates their website’s user interface to show more specific information on the cancellation page, so that any screenshots taken will hold more helpful time-based information, as this would make it easier for users to provide evidence if something goes wrong. Either way, I am updating to 4 stars because it is clear they aren’t intentionally scamming people and are willing to help resolve issues if you reach out. I can’t comment much on the actual quality of content on their site, as I only looked at one problem and it had been answered incorrectly (I am a TA for a course and was checking online solutions across sites). Hopefully other site content is better/more accurate.

I canceled a few days ago and these dooses still took my money. Just happened. It was a free subscription. I'm going to the bank tomorrow and getting my money back. You are slimy and gross Numerade and I pray for your downfall. I am a student who works part-time and and this was going to be the money I was going to use on Christmas presents for my family. Evil, evil company.

EDIT: I just wanted to add, look at their positive reviewers - the majority have not reviewed anything else, which makes it so very obvious that they paid for it to be botted. Screw you Numerade, and I cannot wait to go to the bank tomorrow and take the money back that you stole from me!

I signed up for their free subscription . Then I was deleted my account but I still get charged. How can I get the refund. I am a student and that's really a big sum of money for me. Please help me. I am really depressed

DO NOT RECCOMEND. Was not very helpful for the homework I was doing. Would not give me a refund although I did not cancel through the platform because I had closed my card. I was still charged and have received no help. A friend of mine encountered a similar problem and was refunded despite their “no refund” policy. It doesn’t make sense.

It's a scam that a lot of people have paid for, especially don't confirm the 7 day free trial.
Someone should start solving this from a legal point of view.

I signed up for their free subscription to try and understand a question I was having trouble with. The solutions provided were not only wrong but I was charged despite cancelling the subscription. I then emailed to be told that they didn't have a refund policy and that it was my fault for not cancelling in time despite the trial still being in place. Would not recommend.

I bought the subscription saying that there would be a 7 day free trial and saying I would be charged $0 now but as soon as I entered the order I was instantly charged in my bank. On top of that, I did not receive any benefits. I would rate my experience a 0 if I could. I also got billed twice!

I’m sad to see so many comments regarding so many complaints for unlawful credit charge. Not only in this forum i checked reddit , quora as well there’s so many people who had this issue. I myself got target today of unlawful and unethical credit charge. There’s so much proof that there could be a very strong case against numerade and how they’ve failed to resolve this issue, since many people had to call their bank and revert funds or block from numerade since customer support team won’t do anything. I myself am thinking of filling a legal complaint against numerade to consumers affairs office. So numerade if you’re seeing this i better get my refund back because i have solid proof with all the confirmation of my subscription cancellation.

I do understand what you’re trying to say , explain me when i canceled the subscription even after that i got charged and why was my account active? I even got the confirmation mail that you won’t be charged and that your plan is canceled now. The offer you’re saying was free few month and then 6.99 so I canceled it on a day before my free trial ended so how come i got charged? And why was my account active even tho I canceled it and received confirmation email from your end which I already provided? Do you have any explanation?. For an end user once they receive a confirmation or free plan cancellation they think they’re safe and sound but this is first time I’ve encountered on any platform. Unfortunately since you’ve blatantly said that refund won’t be approved and since i have all the proofs I’ll duely do a chargeback on my credit card tomorrow. You’re not getting any penny from me like you try to thug other people. More chargeback leads to a damage to your company so good luck on this ongoing endeavour of scamming innocent students. I’ll also try to file a formal dispute complaint in consumers affair although my complaint won’t have much effect but atleast it’ll shine a light towards the shady business of numerade. Thank you

I am truly disappointed with this site. I made a 7 days trial subscription last week and since I couldn’t find an answer to my question I cancelled my subscription after one or two days. However after 7 days they charged me. I’ve reached out to many people from the support team and they all said I must have cancelled my subscription before 7 days trial. But the thing that they won’t accept is that I ALREADY DID before 7 days! They are not paying my money back!
