The bed is lovely it's heavy and good quality. The only thing I am disappointed about is that the slats are not sanded and I do feel this is a corner that should not have been cut.

The 2 beds purchased are perfect and we are thoroughly pleased with them as a product.

However, we ordered custom paint colours, and when ordering I forgot to request a matt finish on both beds.

When I followed up with an email and phone calls to explain what I'd done and express our wish for matt finish, I was first told they'd see what they could do but if they couldn't do matt they would do satin.

The whole purpose of choosing and paying more for the custom colours was to have a matt finish and match in with new colour palate of each room.

Given that it was also custom, it seemed ridiculous that to choose a matt finish would be an issue.

Eventually we spoke to somebody on the phone who simply said straight away the matt finish would be no problem. We wish we had spoken to this person first. Very helpful and reassured us of our choice to purchase from this company.

Beds were finished nicely and well packaged. Like I said, we are very happy with the product.

You just never forget how somebody made you feel when purchasing something which is a main part of a room in the home, and it remains in our minds as a simple request, being a custom colour.

Very pleased with the bedframe, it is lovely, good quality and exactly as expected. Service and delivery was very good. The only criticism is the amount of packaging which did seem a little excessive.

Absolutely fabulous service, the delivery guys were so friendly, helpful. The mattress itself is amazinggggg, love it. Very high quality in materials and attention to detail and how it's so beautifully made. Cannot recommend The Original Bed Co. enough.

I spent a great deal of time researching and selecting the right bed. Having previously had a steel-framed bed for many years, I was tempted to go down the same route again. I’m very happy and pleased that I found The Original Bed Company.

The bed is extremely well made and of very high quality. It’s very sturdy, with excellent attention to detail and a superb finish.

It arrived in superb packaging, which took me almost as long to unpack as it did to assemble!

Assembly was straightforward and easily completed single-handedly.

Communication was excellent from start to finish, which made the whole experience even better.

I had had an OBC headboard for a lot of years and understood the quality of the product.
When we upgraded our bedroom I wanted a bed on legs, primarily to make cleaning easier.
OBC was my natural choice. Our new bed is perfect, and with two height choices it enables you to pick the one that suits you best. We also had two drawers to give us some additional storage and they are amazing too.
Ordering was simple and OBC answered one or two questions I had beforehand, quickly and effeciently.
I arranged for my bed to be fully assembled at the point of delivery and our old bed taken away at the same time.
(This is an extra service I was happy to pay for)
David delivered the bed exactly when he said he would, kept me informed along the way and the speed with which he built the bed was second to none. He has assembled thousands!! It showed, an amazing guy.
I now have a beautiful elegant new bed with lots of storage room and cleaning is now a dream!!! Thank you very much OBC

We recently purchased a cream simple iron bedstead for our second bedroom used for guests . We wanted a light weight stable replacement for a heavy wooden frame .
Put together by our handy man who enjoyed putting together a quality product rather than usual models . We are delighted with it sturdy frame , we decided to use the deeper amount of space under the frame and a higher seating .
The cream simple style frame is perfect for our scheme , we used an existing quality mattress to complete .
We have slept in bed frames on holiday which were creaky and awful this one is so superior and such value for money as well .
Would reckon end , safely delivered and packed on time . Thank you !

Purchased the Hamilton Satin bed frame in August 2017. The decorative brass had started to tarnish (no fault to the company).
I contacted the Original bed company to see if I could purchase a replacement kit.
After a few emails with Jamyang I was able to order a new top and bottom kit at a reasonable price.
Estimated 10 weeks delivery, but received it within 3 weeks👍.
Delighted to have what looks like a new bed now.

Bed frame rusty, very damp packaging, obviously stored in a wet area, rust marked my carpet, returned item, extremely poor customer service, no refund of postal. Initially I received a small good will amount, but they took that back! Unbelievable.

This experience was incredibly disappointing.

We ordered our bed originally in May as a custom fabric order. When the bed arrived about a month later, the headboard was stained (looked like green highlighter marks) as well as the pleating was uneven. We requested a new headboard to be delivered. This was delivered when we returned from holiday (which we had requested and the company honoured). The new headboard was now correct.

When assembling our bed as we now had all parts (the instructions are okay - not super clear and we had to take it down and put tot back up again as we had done something wrong and had to guess from the instructions), we opened up the bed slats to find them mouldy! I rang the customer service line as well as email to get replacement slats. The person on the other end of the phone said they would be delivered within 48hrs via Royal Mail and be delivered on Wednesday. This was not the case and was sent via their courier a week after discovering the mouldy slats and would be delivered Friday.

We received new slats via courier. It was only after trying to put them on the bed that they were incorrectly sized and we had slats for a double bed, instead of a king. These slats were also mouldy.

I rang again as I was increasingly frustrated. I had taken a days annual leave to receive this order as we had guests due to stay that night on that Friday. I was told over the phone the earliest they could arrive was Wednesday which was too late. I sent an email stating my frustrations which has still not been responded to, requesting a partial refund.

My partner got on the phone with Corby distribution centre for the company and drove a 4hour round trip in the evening to pick up the correctly sized slats from a bush they left the box for him to collect. These slats were, thankfully, not mouldy. Disappointed he had to do the job for them to pick up slats for a bed that should have been delivered over a month before in proper condition.

We have since had to take all the mouldy slats to the tip as the company did not want to have them returned.

The bed itself is nice, however the absolute stress and inconsistent messaging (and sometimes lack of) is ridiculous for a company that states they are specialists for 30 years where they cannot get the basics right. I will not be using again and will be advising anyone to not use them as this has been the worst furniture purchasing experience I’ve ever had.

Would give them 6 stars if I could .. what a great company! Customer service is spot on Jamyang and Ayush and been great ! the bed is so well made came this morning 7.35 only took about an hour to put it up on my own .. so easy and very sturdy.. would highly recommend his company and beds perfect if you don’t want a wood and and want a metal one like the Evelyn very pet friendly.. everything was really well packed as well .. great company

Can someone please provide an update on when my bed will be delivered? Order number 2250984877

I have now experienced two failed delivery attempts because my order has reportedly been misplaced in the BJS warehouse. Despite this, I have received no communication or update today.

My payment was taken promptly, yet I have received poor customer service and still do not have the goods I paid for. This experience has been extremely disappointing.

Unless this matter is resolved and I receive a clear update, I will continue to share my experience through reviews so that other customers are aware of the level of service I have received.

Mattress is made to order and not just lain around in the warehouse. Easy to choose what fits us best, Really like the cotton ticking finish to the Mattress. Good price and a 10yr guarantee.Great friendly helpful delivery.

My bedroom furniture . It arrived and was spot on and was very easy to assemble . The quality was really good . Would highly recommend .

Delivery company is a joke and when you're purchasing items at this kind of price point I expect better. I would definitely not purchase from here again
