We rented a villa in Florida in April 2024, 4 bedroom house, when we arrived the place was unclean. Toilet brush was full of pooh, lights were hanging down, the dishwasher stopped working after a few days, the waste disposal unit always stopped working.
We were charged $20 to park a car for a week which wasn't in the original T&Cs, we were charged $400 for heating the pool which wasn't in the original T&Cs, we were also promised a Barbeque which we were told on arrival that this was an extra fee. I reported this when we got back in the UK, but were given the Brush off by Dial a flight- whom the actual Holiday was booked through. I never reported it straight away as the family were out and about each day and complaining about minor issues was not on the top of my agenda, enjoying the holiday experience was the highest priority for the family. There were various other issues that were wrong and I reported all these, but was informed that as I didn't do this at the time my comments were void. I have been using Dial a flight for years and they have taken plenty of money from me for several trips, but they also refused to accept any responsibility- is it correct that they (Dial a flight) took the booking, passed the complaints on to Ocean Holidays and didn't take any responsibility for the issues , even though they would have taken there commissions ? I'm very disappointed that Ocean holidays wouldn't even respond to me , its a disgrace, I would advise any person to seriously consider using them for any travel requirements. Dial a Flight did respond and were very sympathetic , but to me that didn't cut it, they have had my business for many years but when there a problem, its all kind words and nothing more, alas I wont use them in future. Even the Travel Manager I dealt with for many years never even bothered to contact me - Maidstone branch very disappointing.
