Richard Watkins has been extremely valuable to me during my house refurbishment , he has added some interesting and inspiring ideas but also understanding what sort of design I like and working with me. I would recommend Richard as a great stylist and a great asset to Oka.

This was my second set of glazed pasta bowls, I have purchased, as they are the perfect size. Staff were friendly and helpful, ensuring dishes were wrapped safely for me to carry. The shop displays are always lovely at the Bath branch.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Garden furniture to the tune of £10,000 was ordered from Oka and within a few weeks was peeling a film of some sort that now made the furniture look like it had weathered 20 years of storm conditions in our garden. Upon calling Oka, having waited 10 days for a response to my email complaint, Oka acknowledged they were aware of a problem with the range. We asked what our options were and were told collection and full refund or we could have a discount and keep it. I was happy to see what the discount may be as we loved the furniture but it was still going to cost us a fair penny to have it stripped back and sealed correctly and would probably never look as it should have or did when it arrived. A few days later I was told the discount would be 20%. I refused this for two reasons, a. It had been sold for less in their sale and b. That’s still £8,000 for furniture that now looked 20 years old. If I could attach photographs I would. I was polite in my response but I never got a reply or acknowledgment, simply an email and text from a courier company saying they’d been instructed to come and collect it. This to me is unprofessional and frankly the height of rudeness!
I then waited for my refund, it never came so a week after they’d collected it I called Oka to ask when I would expect my refund. They acknowledged they had the furniture but hadn’t bothered to process the refund but that they’d do it now and to expect it within the next 5 working days. This is now a week ago and surprise, surprise there is no sign of my £10,000. I am now going to have to do a chargeback through my credit card company.
This has been a fantastic example of how to throw away good custom, well done Oka!
