After several appointments where they failed to turn up, they just stopped making contact, ignoring my emails and texts. My impression is they are full of promises but little else unless you happen to live in Glasgow, which we don’t.

Really swift installation, went above and beyond getting it all installed before Christmas and leaving everything clean and tidy.

We were directed to optima after applying for a new Eco scheme heating system
They contacted us promptly Optama’s operations Manager Joanne explained and attended to all paperwork very efficiently
We arranged dates for the work to be carried out for both heating system installation and new loft Insulation
Dave and John did a pre installation visit to finalize the installation details firmed up on the finer points re routing
The pipe work and siting the new boiler
They arrived early on the dates agree installed the new boiler and radiators in every room
They did an amazing professional job with the absolute minimum of disruption to any flooring etc
The installation went smoothly from day one the system was tested mid pm on the third day and fired up perfectly
They took time to ext the finer points of the system including installing the app on our phones and gave us a simple tutorial on how to program the new system
These guys worked tirelessly as did the electricians to execute the time lines agreed
Joanne was so helpful in arranging advising and pulling everything together
The two Optama lads who reinstated our loft insulation couldn’t have been more helpful or tidy
All round it was a great job and very professionally organised to the last detail including removing and disposing of our old storage boiler system
Our house has never been so comfortable
All in all a painless experience for two older citizens

Optama installed a solar panel system, heating and loft installation.
From the appointment the work was completed in 3 days with minimal disruption to what was a difficult time for us due to a hospital recovery period.
The workmen were very helpful and cleaned any mess made which was greatly appreciated.
The loft had our belongings scattered about but they laid the insulation down then moved everything to one place and continued so everywhere was completed.
A slight delay with a heater being the wrong size delivered was rectified by the electrician by driving to the supplier and returned the following day to install it.
This was a 300 mile trip! Outstanding service.
All work carried out to a high standard and our house has been transformed into a cosy home.
Would definitely recommend this company to anyone considering this type of home improvements

I think it would be helpful for people who don't know about computers to do this by post. I know this seems a step back but for us it would probably have been as quick.

Optama fitted our heat pump system 2 years ago. I had a service set up with the Stiebel Eltron team locally. In the process of checking out a repeat fault code the engineer had a look at our DHW cylinder. He noted it was undercapacity for our size of heat pump.
I contacted Graham Latta at Optama who without hesitation accepted their responsibility for fitting the wrong model and immediately involved Brian to send John and David out to assess and order a heat pump compatible cylinder.
I convenient time to carry out the replacement was booked.
The new cylinder was fitted.
Unfortunately there was a manufacturer's fault on the cylinder causing a leak.
Brian organised the guys to come back the next day( a Saturday)and replace it.
All at no cost to us.
Once again I am very impressed with the whole team at Optama including Joanne at the office.
Their quick response , friendly manner and commitment to good customer service and follow up is outstanding.
We had troubleshooting issues because of the challenge of fitting the heat pump in our quirky old cottage and they were good at coming out and problem-solving. Getting such a positive response 2 years down the line makes me very happy to reccomend Optama to anyone looking for a provider to fit an ASHP.

Optama has installed vaillant hybrid heat pump in my house, since then we have quiet a few problems with the heating. I am not sure if the optama engineers know what they are doing and if they have installed the system in the correct way. They raised a warranty issue with vaillant and they visited and found some sensors are missing in the original instalattion. Optama engineers visited again and changed all the settings but still its not working well either the house is too hot in the night or too cold. I wouldn't recommend Optama.co.uk to anyone.

I was very impressed with Optama, from my first conversation my instulation only took 3 weeks, the workmen were very polite and very efficient and within 4 days the works were completed.

Just had a full system comprising air source heat pump, solar panels and insulation installed in my old, rambling 6 bedroomed house, a house which is now warm and cosy.

I cannot commend Optama highly enough for all their splendid customer care from first contact to surveying, installation, final commissioning and handover. The whole Optama team of engineers, plumbers, electricians, etc., were cheerful, helpful, professional and extremely hard-working from start to finish. Any queries I had were always responded to immediately by Brian who ensured I was happy at every stage of what was a complex installation.

Based on my experience I would recommend Optama unreservedly to anyone contemplating the move to a greener heating set-up.

I am writing about my experience with OPTAMA, a company that is supposed to install a Hybrid Air Source Heat Pump, Solar, and Battery System. A big warning to anyone considering dealing with OPTAMA: My best advice to you is not even to think about choosing OPTAMA, and run as fast as you can from this company and the people working there.

They will make numerous promises, assuring you they will deliver the best work imaginable. However, in reality, their final work is not even 1% close to all the initial empty promises they made. They will waste your time and money, ultimately failing to deliver what was initially promised.

Dealing with OPTAMA was the worst decision I have ever made in my entire life.

I knew that if I had any concerns ,I could contact the company and speak to the staff .I didn't have to worry about anything,as they contacted me, regularly,and kept me informed about the next steps in the process, and what was going to happen , and when.I was impressed by their professionalism,and knew each staff member I was speaking to.The whole process went smoothly,any problems were dealt with swiftly.Cannot recommend them highly enough

I have a very good experience with the Optama company. The teams that installed the solar panels and the heat pump in our house worked very hard. Everything went well, they returned everything to its original state. They cleaned up the mess after themselves. I recommend this company.

we had Vaillant air source heat pump installed August 2022 - the Vaillant service guy wrote in his report, that GLYCOL LEVEL TOO LOW - just minus 3 degrees and NO STRAINER FILTERS are installed. after a while Optama sent someone over, and we trusted that everything was taken care of, but now on Nov 21st 2023 we had another yearly service from Vaillant and there was again on the report NO STRAINER INSIDE VALUE , GLYCOL LOW, - 3 degrees !! also FEET NOT SCREWED TO BASE.
We have contacted them via email and also phoned -but heard nothing back ! CRAP SERVICE !!

Optama put in my hybrid heat pump and they were my first choice for solar panels. This company walk and talk you through the whole process and I’m delighted with the results. Jonathan at the office helped greatly through the process of grants&Loans,Brilliant!

Good communication beforehand, fitters arrived on time and were very informative about what was happening.

Had heat pump installed, solar panel installation and roof space insulation From beginning to end all team members were friendly, approachable and kept in touch with work schedules .
The tradesmen were fast, efficient and knowledgeable .
Over a 3 week period our very cold old farmhouse was transformed into a very warm comfortable home .
Despite reading negative reviews about heat pump efficiency and problems with installation , I can honestly say the whole experience with Optama was faultless.

Surveyor never showed, I have also chased Callum up several times over grant application and no response. Concerned I sent financial and personal information that could be used for identify fraud but luckily blacked out sensitive things like NI and bank account numbers.
