But seriously, who can I talk to about my prescription?
As with the other reviews, I have tried calling Ostomed after Pharmacy2U passed my prescription to them, only for it to be stuck with no updates for days. However, Ostomed never answered, and the callback service they apparently offer to save your place in the queue is a lie - unless they have been backlogged since 1984, which they state is when they have been "proudly independent". Maybe it's time for them to change and bring in some support if they cannot handle their load "independently".
After my futile attempt to call them, my only other option was to try emailing them, which I received an automated response for, advising to *call* for urgent matters 🥴
So now, my prescription is stuck with them because Pharmacy2U and my GP can't take my prescription back. Only Ostomed can do anything with it, apparently - that is, either by completing the process with delivering my prescription or releasing it back to me. Both options I am not holding my breath for - which I may as well have done (the end result would have been the same), if my GP hadn't able to quickly approve a new electronic prescription for me to pick up at my local pharmacy instead.
As with others, my prescription was also diabetes related (T1). Maybe they are facing shortages or some other complications behind the scenes, but if so, they should at least say something rather than ignore everyone's concerns.
Sometimes, negative reviews on TP can be like: "Kim, there's people that are dying." But in this case, it's *literally*: "Ostomed, there's people that are dying."
Just get it together or something, bruv 🤷♀️
