Bought a truck from these in 2024, issues arouse from collection, 2nd key was not working, then they tried to reprogram a key that then wiped the 1st key leaving the car stuck on the ramp, bearing in mind this was a pre arranged pick up of the truck! Clearly the cowboys did not do there pre inspection checks of the truck! So had a 4 hour round trip for nothing... finally got the truck and had it had a fault with the window going up and down, rang there service department and was told this was covered under warranty and to bring the truck in! I took the truck in and was given a loan truck with no fuel in it. Had a call to say my truck was ready and it was just the rubbers on the windows that were dry and that it needed lubing up....to then be told that I would be charge £60 as it was not a mechanical fault. No mention of this was made on the initial booking and if the truck was properly pre inspected/checked prior to collection then it would not have been a fault.. They would not release my truck and held me to ransom till the £60 was paid... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!! ***DISGUSTING AFTERSALES****DISGUSTING SERVICE****

Coby took my initial enquiry and we looked at the Ranger I was interested in. However after noticing the stock of Rangers they had I clocked one that I liked and went through that one. The final purchase and explanation was excellent. Will continue use at Otter Vale Motors.

Coby was friendly, helpful and not pushy. We weren't sure what we wanted so we were given several keys and time to look around. We eventually chose a Navara and the purchase was simple, warranty explained fully and the loose tailgate fixed easily and efficiently. Very good customer service from Paul Hood and he even helped me do the tax transfer once the truck had been delivered. Also first time that i have had a truck delivered with fuel in it usually it is on total empty. Thanks for great service Paul and we will use you again.

I was after a reliable replacement truck after my old 2017 Navara developed a serious engine problem, so I went to Otter Vale as the choice on offer was extensive and they were reasonably local. I was looking for a decent second hand truck that could tow with ease and provide reasonable comfort for normal day to day driving. Otter Vale let me review a few different models and I ended up with what I hope will be a solid choice but also took out a 4 year warranty just to be on the safe side. The sales process was simple enough and I was not rushed or put under any pressure.

Paul was incredibly helpful when we purchased our truck. We had a fair price on our trade in and drove out the same day. A very pleasant experience with thoroughly helpful staff. I would definitely recommend this dealership. Thank you.

Let down by one flakey individual. I was looking to sell a low mileage vehicle on behalf of an aging relative. I told them the relative was too ill to be managing the process so left my number and asked them to call me direct with a valuation or any queries. I indicated the minimum price I was looking for (£200 more than Motorway.co.uk and webuyanycar.com). I left them photos of the car and service history. Craig then called my aging relative and offered £2,000 less than my minimum price. He never called me. I believe he was hoping to catch out a vulnerable individual. Just flakey behaviour from one individual in a local company where I would have expected better.

Matthew was very efficient, knowledgeable and friendly. He talked us through every step of our journey buying my car. He talked us through the warranty and finance which we took. Thank you Matthew and Otter Vale..

Absolute shocking customer service from both cameron and coby .
Was looking to sell my truck to them .
Over a space of a month or longer I rang multiple times and was told they would get back to me but never did .
If they were not interested that would be fine, but at least have the courtesy to tell me .

Worst after sales! Multiple issues with the car including mould, brakes, they smashed my windscreen, they dented the car while it was being worked on and didn’t tell me. Warning lights on the car. Went in for repair on the brakes just before warranty and now the same issue has happened again! Never buying a car here again. Problem after problem and they don’t like to take responsibility!

Absolutely the worst service I have ever received from a garage. I bought a Navara that overheated after a few weeks, I returned it twice for repair which they insisted had been completed but ultimately a couple of weeks later it failed and destroyed the engine.
I was told it was head gasket failure but walked into their workshop to see my engine spread around a bench in bits, totalled.

They promised to find me a like for like replacement, after waiting approximately 2 months and them not being able to find a replacement I insisted on a refund. Miraculously the next day they found a replacement vehicle but wanted a further £2800.

After waiting for a week for my refund and not receiving it and being given all manor of excuses I had to make a complaint to Black Horse. That then led their sales manager “Shaun the snake” to try and coerce me into removing my complaint by saying they’d refund me sooner if we did. I stuck with my complaint and received a compensation from Black Horse due to the appalling service and failure of the vehicle.

Nothing but false promises and outright lies, truly disgusting service. STAY AWAY FROM THIS GARAGE!
