Wish i had seen these reviews before purchasing. Ordered a custom canvas prior to christmas with delivery expected for before christmas as a gift. It has not arrived. Was unable to give my mum a gift because of this. Unable to contact the company. No update on the tracking to say when or if i will recieve it. Seems from the reviews this is a scam.

Very cool gift - sturdy canvas frame. Purchased the kit with the extra paints and brushes. Perfect size brushes and 46 different paints. The canvas was framed over about a quarter inch (.25") of wood. I would have preferred a larger frame to make the painting pop from the wall. Outstanding customer service.

Made an order 11th Dec 25. Christmas present, still hasn’t arrived. Useless company. Have messaged to request an update and have yet to receive a reply.

I ordered on instagram. It said order today to receive by the 20th December. It is now the 3rd of January and I still haven’t received it. I ordered this as something to do with my niece over Christmas. If they can’t deliver on time they shouldn’t say they can. I contacted them and they never bothered to get back to me. Wasted my money on an activity I couldn’t do. Will never order from here again.

A great experience. We purchased a custom paint by numbers product from Paint by Canvas to replicate a favorite photograph. The package included a 16x20 outlined and numbered canvas, custom mixed paints, brushes, and a reference template. The canvas is well-detailed and allows transition between colors to closely resemble the photograph. The product is top notch. Seeing the canvas develop into a beautiful lasting memory of a favorite moment is a rewarding experience. Paint by Canvas communication and customer service is excellent. Highly recommended

Easy to order. The quality of the paints and canvas is really good. It brings paint by number to a different level.

My gift came quickly when it was ordered. It was also a custom piece! One small mistake I had gotten one wrong paint. I emailed the business on the contact page and they were so quick to help me out and get the correct paint to me! Super impressed with the customer service and the quality of my product! Definitely will order again once my first painting is done!

I ordered a custom Paint by Canvas kit on December 11th, specifically because the website prominently advertised delivery in time for Christmas. This was the entire reason I chose this company. The product was meant to be a meaningful Christmas gift for close friends who had recently lost their dog—something thoughtful and personal in place of a traditional present.

The projected delivery date showed it would arrive the week before Christmas, which felt reasonable given the order date and the company’s own stated timeline. These kits are not inexpensive, but I was willing to pay a premium based on the promised turnaround.

Fast forward to January 1st, and the order still hasn’t arrived. The new estimated delivery date is January 6th, well after Christmas. This completely defeated the purpose of the gift and created an awkward situation during the holiday gift exchange. To avoid embarrassment, I had to rush out and purchase another not-cheap replacement gift and explain that “another gift was still coming.”

What makes this more frustrating:
• The shipping estimate was the primary driver behind my purchase.
• The company appears to have been overconfident—or inaccurate—about fulfillment timelines during a peak holiday season.
• There is a strict no-refund policy on custom orders, which left me feeling trapped once it became obvious the promised delivery window would be missed.
• As of writing this review, I still don’t know what the product quality is, so I can’t even evaluate whether the end result will justify the wait.

I understand that this may be a small business, but that makes accurate expectation-setting even more important, not less. Advertising Christmas delivery and then missing it by weeks crosses into what feels like a bait-and-switch, whether intentional or not.

If you choose to order from Paint by Canvas, do not trust the delivery estimates shown on their site. Assume it will take significantly longer—especially if the timing matters—and plan accordingly.

Beyond my expectations! As someone who has to buy their parents something they dont know they want this was a true gem, and personal 10 / 10. My dad learnt painting in retirement, this way he can make a masterpiece easily of a family favourite ( the cat!)

Awful, ordered a turtle paint by canvas on 15th December intended as aa christmas present. New years eve it still hasnt arrived. Will be charging back on credit card.
Ridiculous given the item is sold by the Range so its not as if its a bespoke item

They do a great & timely job. They respond personally if you think you have a problem. Even though I was wrong, they resolved the "issue." Nice folks. Easy to work with. And on top of that - they produce a great product that my wife loves and it helps her cope with what is probably Alzheimers.

I ordered my “canvas” kit on 12/9/25 and have yet to receive anything. Today is 12/30. I contacted the seller and keep getting the run around. Before I purchased the item I asked if it was being shipped from China. I was told no they had distribution centers in the United States. Oddly enough the tracking said it went through customs so that’s lie number one (of many). I want my hard earned money refunded.

NOT WORTH IT!
Waited 4 weeks for the gift, shocking customer service and when it finally arrived the numbers are so tiny a mouse would have difficulty painting it! Id send it back but cannot be bothered with the faff itll create! I bought 2 so definitely NOT worth the £80 i spent! AVOID

Great painting project. Very well done. Everything included to make a great memory. Very good communication from the owner, even though there was a slight delay in shipping. Kept me informed about the project!

Ordered Dec 1st. and still have not received it. Now checked with the tracking and this is what USPS said: " The package associated with this tracking number was found to bear counterfeit postage and is now considered Postal Service property under USPS regulations and will not be delivered. You are encouraged to contact the sender/merchant and/or your credit card company, as applicable, to seek a refund or other available recourse." SCAM!

Now it is 1.7.26. Nothing. Nil. All I can say beware. It may not be a much money but it is the principle of the matter. No response from "Nil" for a refund.

Now it is 1.28.26: 2 months from my last shipment and it has never arrived. Tried sending me a new shipment and its now 20 days late. It doesn't make sense unless this is a scam. I am glad I contacted my bank because I will fight to get my money back.

I'm a bit unhappy and looking for reassurnace. I am concerned that the Christmas present I ordered advertised to be arriving in time for Christmas... on the 12th December 2025 - now 17 days ago has still not arrived as it on the tracker "In Transit" since the 23rd...   (I've waited until today to post this as the small print on the website says could be up to 16 days in busy seasons) I have emailed to see if this will be coming before NYE? I'm hoping for a refund please as I have had to purchase another present and I have not had any correspondence keeping myself updated on the delay...  I hope this isnt a scam website.      I have left a review on Trustpilot due to the concern this could be a scam I would like some reassurance please.

I was worried at first, being my first canvas order, but then I realized it is the Christmas season. I received my package a few days later. Package was well packed and secured against damage.
I am very impressed and already looking for another photo to paint.
Niila and 'Paint by Canvas' got me hooked, now I am a repeat customer.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are either a scam or so indifferent to their customers that they are unrepentant about lying to them.

We ordered one of their kits because they promised delivery in time for Christmas, so long as you put your order in by a date early in December, the 4th, I think. The long lead time should have sounded warning bells, but we were too optimistic. The kit finally arrived this morning, the 29th!

We complained to the company after Christmas and had a blithe and infuriating email back, saying that orders could not be cancelled or refunded but never mind because they were 'sure we'd love it when it arrives'. Well no, we do not love the trouble and expense we will now have to go to in order for the present to reach its recipient.

There was no attempt to address our complaint, or acknowledge the shoddy performance of this company.

The kit has of course travelled from China, extremely slowly and it seems the company has no control whatsoever over the delivery process. It would have had ample opportunity to warn me of its late arrival but obviously it suits them very well to be 'unable' to cancel an order because of their own failures.

I will now review this company on every media platform I can find to warn other customers not to make the same mistake we did.

Having received a reply from the company, below, I just want to reiterate that we did NOT get any communication from them to let us know our order would be late. We checked.

Placed an order on the 6th of December 25, On the 7th December I got an email saying that all my items had been shipped (WOW that’s a fast turnaround).
On the 16th December I was concerned that the tracking provided was still awaiting instructions from paint by canvas and not showing that it had been shipped like they had told me it had.I emailed my concerns to various email addresses provided but got no reply from any of them so left a message on Facebook and was told to email them direct something that I’d already stated that I’d done.
I managed to find an email for Niila and she told me my parcel was still on track.
On 20th December my parcel showed up on the tracking as being in transit.
On 24th December the tracking was still showing as being in transit so I emailed Niila as to how disappointed I was for not receiving my parcel in time for Christmas.
I also left a polite message on Facebook and was promptly blocked from their site.
On the 26th December I got a message from Niila saying that they were looking into why I still hadn’t received my parcel and would get back to me as soon as possible with some information as to where it was.
29th December and Iv still not heard anything about my Parcel, The Tracking number is still saying it’s in transit and not out for delivery yet.
I’m very disappointed with this company if they had been honest and told me that my parcel had been delayed and there was a chance I might not receive this package for Christmas (OR RECEIVE IT AT ALL)I could have made other arrangements for the person I was buying this item for, instead they got an IOU For their present (VERY EMBARRASSING).
At this point in time I would recommend that people
Avoid this company as I still haven’t received my parcel or know of its whereabouts, The tracking provided is totally useless as you can’t contact them directly as you don’t know who is delivering your parcel.
Should I receive my parcel in the next few days weeks years I will update my review and either state it has still not arrived or give an honest opinion of the product itself .
Please Please Please Painting by Canvas don’t leave any excuses on this post you’ve had every chance to put this right but have chose not to I don’t want an apology or a discount for my next purchase as I won’t be using you again regardless.

Niila is an excellent and professional business woman with an excellent product. My dad loved to do paint by numbers and to have a picture that means something to him was the best Christmas gift. There was an issue with delivery. Niila kept me 100% informed and gave a discount for a future order even though this was beyond her control. Great customer service. Thank you.
