While its size might make some people think of it as a toy to pass the time, it’s important to remember: it's not a toy; it's an instrument. While anyone can play it with mallets or even play random notes for fun, it offers even greater depth when played like a traditional handpan using hand and finger striking techniques. Though you can certainly improvise, it's worth investing time and effort to intentionally create both fast-paced and slow-paced instrumental pieces. Doing so allows you to blend meditation, mindfulness, and real fun. You’ll have a rewarding experience every day making meaningful music. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a beautiful steel hand drum to unlock their musical potential, especially if budget is a concern. It's a worthwhile investment you can keep by your bed or take with you to meditate or find inspiration.

I love the panda drums. My grandchildren were mesmerized by them. Everyone I showed them to smiled and wanted to try playing them. Great product, great customer service. xo

Do not be fooled by all of the wonderful reviews.
This company misleads you by coming off as a US based company. It is not. The product is shipped directly from China. The Panda drum Pro ($240) product arrived in a broken case, with broken mallets . The drum, as described on their website should be tuned to C major. Not one note was even remotely in tune- the sound is tinny and hollow with no depth with very little sound produced at all. I contacted the company immediately, sent them a video of the notes being played, I send pictures of the broken mallets and case . I returned the product as requested by the company, and I am still waiting for my refund.. which is being delayed supposedly for an inspection? I will update my review when and if I ever get my refund.

UPDATE** Within several hours after posting this review, I received a refund notice from PayPal and have as of today received my money back.

I placed an order for a Panda Drum Pro on February 27th. The Panda Drum website indicates that orders shipped within the United States are processed within 48 hours. Once dispatched, the estimated delivery timeframe for U.S. orders is between 4 to 9 days. However, I have discovered that my tracking number is associated with China, contradicting the website's claim that orders are shipped from the U.S. Additionally, the ongoing tariff situation may impact shipping, and customers should be made aware of this. I have sent two emails but have only received a generic reply, with no updates on my order since March 7th. Had I known that the company lacks a contact number, I would not have chosen to purchase a tongue drum from them, as I could have easily found a comparable product on Amazon. It is crucial for companies to provide timely and appropriate responses to customer inquiries. The delivery time has exceeded what was stated on the website. At what point does this become a case of false advertising? I will not wait an entire month for my order to arrive.

Update & Reply to Panda Drum:
I have not received any communication from Panda Drum since March 7th, and it is inaccurate to claim that you contacted me. The email I received contained only general information. Additionally, your website does not disclose that the product is shipped from China. The shipping details provided on Panda Drum's website are misleading. Can you inform me when I can expect to receive my product? Given that China is subject to tariffs, when will the shipping information be revised? When should I anticipate the arrival of my product? The timeframe stated on your website has already elapsed.

Update 3/17/25:
After receiving assistance from Mrs. Margarita, Manager at Panda Drum, I received my order on 3/15 and two days earlier than expected. In addition to a new shipment of my order, Ms. Margarita offered a 30% refund to address the issues with the shipping. I am already in love with my Panda Drum. The only reason I gave 3 stars is because of the original shipping issues. Thank you Mrs. Margarita for your assistance.

Any query i have had regarding the Panda Drum has been answered quickly and sorted out. They genuinely care about their customers. It is great to be listened to and not ignored with generic responses sent like some companies.

Absolutely in love with this drum. The vibrational tones, the tranquility effect on everyone who plays or listen to is amazing. I’ve never played any musical instrument but was able to create beautiful music after just one day. This drum needs to be a part of everyone’s morning or evening ritual ❤️

The quality and sound of the Panda drum are perfect. The customer service is absolutely excellent. I ordered and received my drum, then realized I really wanted the Pro model. I emailed support. Diane responded immediately, she was courteous and pleasant in every way. She gave me options and clear instructions. Because I loved the drum so much, and also the incredible customer service, I decided to keep the original drum for my son and ordered a Pro for myself. I love it. Thank you!

The drums are excellent quality. I have purchased four mini drums and a Panda Drum Pro. The mini drums are for my grandsons and mindfulness in my classroom. I hope that in the future they will offer the opportunity to buy additional small felt mallets and also provide protective cases for the mini drums. This would make me extremely happy.

Our family loves our new, beautiful, blue panda drum pro. We've placed it in an area of our home where anyone can stop and play to fill the house with the gorgeous tones it makes when it's played. I'm looking forward to taking some lessons to get more proficient in playing songs but until then we will just enjoy it!

All along the way from ordering to delivery was smooth. I also really appreciate how well the instrument was packaged. The reason I purchased this product in the first place is that I was able to experience the Panda Drum when I went to an Airbnb. So I looked up the name and ordered it. Super cool instrument that can be used by the inexperienced trained. Very high quality.

One of the best gifts I purchased this year. Although it was for my son my whole family enjoyed playing it throughout the day. It was exactly as described.

My wife say this online, sounded great in the video so I bought her one. She was so happy that it turned out great! The sound quality is great and we are having a great time learning how to play it!
