Peoples Fundraising go above and beyond…

Peoples Fundraising go above and beyond to help.
I've used the platform many years ago and needed to sign up again, but I had problems signing our organisation up (my fault not theirs!)
I sent a support request at around 6am and got a response not long after!
I'm really grateful of their responsiveness and patience to help me get set up and start fundraising.
I'd give more stars if I could!
Brilliant organisation with much lower fees than anyone else, that's why I chose them again!

Concerning Lack of Communication and Delayed Payout - BUT eventually resolved

I am disappointed with my experience so far with People's Fundraising.

Over the past 3-4 days, I have sent multiple emails and left several messages requesting assistance, but I have not received a response from anyone. My primary concern is that a payout on the platform is showing as "paid out", yet the funds have still not arrived in my bank account.

As a fundraiser, this is understandably worrying. Parents and supporters are continuing to make donations, but at the moment I have no way of getting clarity on where the funds are, when they will arrive, or how to resolve the issue. The lack of communication has been the most frustrating part of the experience.

I appreciate that there may be a legitimate reason for the delay, and I remain hopeful that someone will respond and help resolve the matter. However, when money is involved, timely communication is essential, and unfortunately that has not been my experience.

Based on my current experience, I would encourage anyone considering using the platform to first ensure they can establish contact with the support team and understand the payout process before relying on it for fundraising activities.

I sincerely hope People's Fundraising responds soon and that this issue can be resolved quickly.

**Update 5/6/2026**
Eventually, I have just now received a brief email saying I need to 'upload information about the charity' which i have now done. It is now being verified... lets see how long verification takes? I will update my review accordingly... moved to 1.5 stars if i could.

**Update – 12 June 2026

Following my original review, I wanted to provide an update. After eventually making contact with People's Fundraising, I was informed that additional charity verification was required due to changes in their verification process. I submitted the requested information on 5 June, received confirmation that the charity had been verified a few days later, and the funds were successfully paid into our account on 10 June.

I also had the opportunity to speak with Nathan, who was helpful in explaining the situation and assisting with the process. As a result, I am updating my rating to 4 stars.

My original concern remains the lack of communication during the first few days, as having donations coming in while being unable to confirm where the funds were or when they would arrive was understandably stressful. However, now that everything has been verified and the payout process is working correctly, I am happy to continue using the platform.

For anyone new to People's Fundraising, I would recommend completing all verification requirements as early as possible and perhaps testing the process with a small initial fundraising campaign so that you are comfortable with how payouts work before larger sums are involved.

Overall, while the start was frustrating, the issue has now been resolved and I am a satisfied customer.

Thank you for your feedback. We completely understand your concern when fundraising funds have not yet reached your bank account, and we appreciate how important clear communication is in these circumstances.

Having reviewed your account, we can confirm that we responded to your enquiry before this review was posted. We also note that when logging into the control panel, a prominent notification was displayed stating:

"You're all set to start fundraising! However, to receive funds from your campaigns, simply complete the payouts onboarding process and you'll be ready to go. Click start to begin."

This onboarding process is a regulatory requirement for all organisations receiving funds and must be completed before payouts can be released.

Following your recent submission of the requested information, the platform now displays:

"The payouts onboarding process is pending verification, which typically takes around 24 hours. After verification you will be able to receive payouts. We will let you know when verification is complete. Click to be redirected to the Ryft console to check progress."

Peoples Fundraising supports thousands of charities, schools, PTAs, sports clubs and community organisations across the UK. As part of UK Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering regulations, every organisation receiving funds is required to complete this verification process before payouts can be made. This is a standard requirement across payment and fundraising platforms and is designed to protect fundraisers, donors and beneficiaries alike.

We appreciate that delays during the verification process can be frustrating, particularly when supporters are actively donating. However, the verification stage must be completed before funds can be transferred and is an important safeguard within the fundraising process.

We are pleased that the required information has now been submitted and is progressing through verification. Once approved, payouts will be able to proceed normally.

I’ve used PeoplesFundraising for two different fundraising events now, and both experiences have been outstanding. Poor Response

The company did not respond to either the telephone number or the messaging system. Normally I make one off payments to charities rather than Direct Debits. In this case I had alledgedly agreed a DD but I have been unable to establish the facts so I just cancelled it.

Non-user friendly web site for charity managers

I've been using PF for several years to collect my charity's donations and always found the website for admin confusing, but the new website is even more non-user friendly.

Uncertainty through the whole process

People's Fundraising was recommended from the charity I was supporting.

I set up my page, which was quite straight forward but from that point it was very confusing.

I found it hard to navigate the website and had to go around the houses each time I wanted to view my fundraiser because it didn't show on my fundraising wall.

I did phone PF but the number showed linked to a different business which made me a bit nervous. The person was helpful who I spoke to but I feel the process could have been a lot easier.

I them completed my fundraising with no idea when the money would be sent to my charity. I sent two emails to PF asking how I would know the money would be transferred and if I would get confirmation.

The replies were very limited and advised the money would be automatically transferred (no further details provided) and that I should contact my charity for more details.

It makes me very uneasy that the money I have raised and people have kindly donated is just sat in PF account until an unknown date to myself. A very small amount of reassurance or acknowledgment that I will be told when the money is transferred would have been appreciated.

I would not use this platform again, there is too much uncertainty around it and I remain unsure what is happening with the funds I raised.

I don't know if I was meant to do anything, like close the fundraising page, which I know have but I remain very worried about the money and that nothing will happen to it.

“When you raise money for your supported organisations, they can receive the funds as frequently as daily or monthly. Your charities do not need to wait for your fundraiser to end — the money you raise is transferred to them automatically. There is nothing you need to do once your fundraiser is finished.”

We understand how important it is for fundraisers to feel confident about where their donations are and when charities will receive them. Your feedback has directly contributed to improving this clarity for everyone using the platform.

Highly recommend.

We have used Peoples Fundraising for a number of years for our Charity and have always found them exceptionally helpful. We have learned many ways to fundraise but also how to use the behind the scene tools to better manage income, required accounting reports, gift aid etc. Any query is addressed swiftly and you can often get a response when other companies have clocked off! Highly recommend.

I am deeply disappointed and alarmed by…

I am deeply disappointed and alarmed by your customer service. Once again, funds raised by our organization in June are being withheld without any prior warning. We are a charity based in Uganda, fundraising to support children who cannot afford basic necessities, and delays like this seriously affect our work. We cannot log in to any of your platforms, and there is literally no support or help available. Your emails claim notifications were sent, yet we have received nothing, and there has been no apology or acknowledgment of the issue. This is extremely concerning and unacceptable.

Amazingly flexible fundraising platform for charities

Horrible captchas

Horrible captchas enough to put off any potential donors. Want to connect via horrible social media channels that are Facebook and X. User name isn't my email as normal so my login kept failing.

Biggest down mark is for the captchas that make you click on squares. I HATE them.

PTA online raffle success!

We used People’s fundraising for an online raffle. Nathan helped answer our questions which gave us the confidence to get it up and running quite quickly.
The portal was a little clunky with loading the first few prizes but then we got into a rhythm of using it. Very professional visually and helped us reach a wider audience. Thankyou for the support!

Great platform, lots of functionality

Having connected Nathan at People's Fundraising for support setting up our projects, I'm so impressed by the way this platform actually supports charities.

PTA fundaising

We use People's Fundraising for raffles and members lottery for our PTA and it works great for us. Competitively priced and once you're over the learning the curve, easy to use. Support was great from he site as well.
