Thorsten,came to see my poorly Staffy TY, unfortunately he had to be put to sleep, I can’t thank Thorsten enough, so considerate, caring man, such an excellent service, my boy passed away peacefully, thank you for everything x

Holly is a 15 1/2 year old bundle of fluff, love and enthusiasm for life. She has a lot of arthritis, and it’s our job, as her owners, to keep her as happy and comfortable as possible. She loves to swim, so we take her for fun swims every week to help with fitness now she can’t walk as far.
About 6 months ago we needed the help of anti inflammatories and pain relief, which help a lot, but we were experiencing frequent ups and downs in her ability to cope. We asked our vet if there was anything else we could do, and she suggested we could try acupuncture alongside the medication. We decided to try Katja because she was local and comes to our house, so it’s better for Holly. Holly has acupuncture and laser therapy every 3 weeks at the moment which has definitely helped to balance out those peaks and troughs of pain that she had been suffering and as a bonus extra has completely stopped her old lady leaky bladder. We just want her to be happy and as comfortable as she can be in her older age. We would definitely recommend trying acupuncture with an open mind, and see if it helps your furry friend.

I have 2 elderly cats. They are both nervous. Gorgeous Nala needed a blood test . The fabulous vets from Pets relaxed came to our home and obtained the sample there which was far less stressful for Nala.
The follow up advice was great. Nala is doing really well.
Nala says those nice vets can come again.

I cannot rate Pets Relaxed enough, Thorsten came to our home at a very very difficult time to put one of our very much loved dogs to sleep with a sudden illness and deterioration. He is a very experienced and knowledgeable vet but more than that he's one of the nicest men I've ever met.

we would like to say a huge thank you to Katja for her kindness, compassion, calming demeanor and patience when we had to have our rescue border collie Harley euthanized today. Our cat Jude started to get poorly about 3 or 4 weeks ago. They explained everything and we put a treatment plan together. However after that she got a problem with her foot but she became very poorly and she had to be put to sleep. The company are amazing the care is second to none. Thankyou so much.

I had Thorsten visit last year wanting a second opinion and he was so friendly with me and my dog Rosie. I decided to book him for her booster and doggy mot and he was just as friendly and Rosie was good was a much better experience then going to the vets and me and Rosie being stressed . I would recommend Pets Relaxed and their friendly approach from speaking to receptionist on phone to vet visiting :)

I have been meaning to write this for over a month now.

Thorsten's compassion and patience when I had to say goodbye to my Lila made the experience not only bearable but also beautiful. I had a quiet and peaceful last night with her and the procedure and decision making was all under my control- which really. means so much. I am so grateful to Pets Relaxed for the time and care they take.

We can't thank Thorsten enough for making such a painful decision to say goodbye to Milo as dignified and peaceful as possible. I also thank Manchester Street Vets for recommending Pets Relaxed when we expressed needing a home visit.

Thorsten was so gentle, kind and informative that we at least feel comforted that Milo got the very best of treatment that he deserved right to the absolute end.

I just want to say how amazing Thorsten was when he came and put Heath to sleep. He was so supportive and very experienced and talked us through everything. It was heartbreaking to lose our boy but It was so peaceful and pain free. He treated us like family and that made the experience easier for us. I have a friendly yet boisterous dog who’s excitable around strangers and other dogs, so we’ve found the vet who does home visits. Katja the vet is exceptionally professional and caring, she’s health checked our dog, vaccinated him and gave us some valuable advice. Very happy and will be using this Vet again.

I cannot recommend Pets relaxed enough. The support and care my boy received when he was poorly over the last few weeks and then at his end of life this week was superb.To end his days in his home and with us and without any distress is a comfort to us at this sad time. We are heartbroken but we know Katja was always there for him. Thank you so much for everything you have done for our boy you looked after him with great care and that’s all we could ask.

We've just had a visit from Pets Relaxed this morning to our dog who had developed a problem with his ears. He is a very nervous dog and Thorsten gave so much time and care at the appointment, really giving him a full MOT. There was a lot of barking from our dog (especially as Thorsten was on his 'turf'!), but Thorsten just took his time, constantly reassured our dog and by the end of the appointment, Thorsten had got him to relax so much that he had a full check up, his vaccines and even a really relaxed nail clipping (which even we struggle to get our dog calm for!).

The stress of visiting a normal vets practice just wasn't there and we can't recommend this service highly enough. And how lovely to get to know a vet rather than being in and out in 10 minutes, and know that for our follow up in a few weeks, it will be the same vet again. The Pets Relaxed receptionists were very friendly and so helpful.

We were slightly outside of Pets Relaxed normal service area, but they were happy to come out to us for a small additional fee and we are so grateful for this. For such a personalised home visit, the fees are very reasonable and they were transparent about them before booking.

I wish I had known about Pets Relaxed years ago. One of my 3 dogs, Hamish, is terrified of everything and how worst nightmare is going to the vets. Has a sore paw and I booked an appointment. Katja came to our home the following day. She was so lovely and gentle with Hamish. He was still nervous but nowhere near as stressed as he usually is. Prescribed steroids and some herbal calming meds. I cannot thank them enough for such a wonderful, compassionate service, at such a good price too. Have already recommended them to loads of friends.

We sadly lost our cat Bonnie 12 months ago today and we have been reflecting on the treatment she received during her battle with cancer over the final weeks and months of her life.

When we found out there was no more we could do in terms of surgeries and cancer treatment, we wanted to make her end of life care as comfortable as possible, and not involve more trips out in the car. After 18 months of vet visits, surgeries, and emergency vet visits, we decided that Bonnie had been through enough. However, until we found Pets Relaxed it was almost impossible to find a local vet that would do home visits.

We were not in the usual area covered by Pets Relaxed, but after hearing our needs, they agreed to take on Bonnie’s care for a petrol surcharge, which was reasonable and we were very happy to pay.

Before the first visit, we were a little dubious because Bonnie can be quite anxious at strangers coming into the home, and also tall men, however Thorsten was a true gentle giant. He was so soft and gentle with Bonnie, delicately moving at her slow pace, letting Bonnie come to him when she was ready. We were amazed at how slow, patient, and not rushed the visits were. Thorsten was a soothing, and empathetic presence in our home, at a time of real anguish.

Communication was excellent through the app, even when things took a turn for the worst they were they for us in a way that felt friendly, reassuring, and calm.

When the time came to say goodbye to Bonnie, Pets Relaxed were able to work alongside Legacy Pets for her end of life care in a seamless, professional, and swift manner. Thorsten and Pets Relaxed went at our pace, (us and Bonnie) the whole time. At the end, it was ensured that Bonnie’s final moments would come only when we were ready, but more importantly when Bonnie was ready. Thorsten was genuinely empathetic and shared our emotional grief at the end. We are so thankful for their care and compassion. Throughout, Thorsten treated Bonnie like she was part of his family and grieved with us when she passed.

It was such a relief to us in a time of unimaginable sorrow that we had people on hand to do the necessary, in a dignified and calm way. We couldn’t recommend Pets Relaxed highly enough.

From first contact via email to the vet coming our house, it was outstanding service, compassionate and genuinely caring, I felt understood. My 15 year old husky shadow had been feeling under the weather and me and my partner had convinced ourselves it was her time to go, however the vet lady put our minds at ease and checked shadow out and told us it was not necessary to PTS, blood tests done, hoping for the best now and thankful for more time with my girl..

We would recommend Pets Relaxed to anyone for either care for your beloved pet or the saddest option - euthanasia. Thorsten came to our home for our beloved 14 year old retriever to put him to sleep and the whole process was calm and dignified. What an amazing, kind and patient man to help us say goodbye properly. Thank you. Lisa & family
